My uncle went to Shipley Manor initially for respite care just before Christmas but due to a deterioration in his heath he is still at the home as my aunt is unable to look after him at home. My uncle is receiving excellent care from the staff and it's clear that staff have built good relationships not only with my uncle but with the rest of the family, they keep my aunt and cousins updated with any changes in his health. He always looks well presented and when awake and alert he seems very happy. The home itself is always well presented, smells nice and there's always lots of activities going on to keep the residents happy and engaged as much possible.
Many thanks for taking the time to review our home . It is a pleasure to care for your Uncle and we are delighted at how he has settled in . Your kind words in recognising the fabulous work that the care team do is much appreciated and I will of course pass them onto the Shipley Manor family .

Dad has been at Shipley Manor now for 16 months in thier care and the quality of care they provide is superb and it is done with love and respect. Anything which may seem to be a big concern as Eldest Son is nothing to the staff. I do not worry whilst dad is with shipley manor as he is safe, warm and dry and cared for 5 stars
Thank you for taking the time to review our home . Your kind words are greatly appreciated and I will of course share them with the Shipley Manor family
I feel I have neglected my duty to review Shipley Manor care home for too long now, having used it to care for my mother, who has dementia, for the last seven months now. In this time I have found the staff at Shipley Manor to have been efficient and respectful of my mother's requirements. The facilities at the care home are great and the staff make a genuine effort to keep residents engaged on a daily basis. Meals seem particularly good and my often fussy mum has never found need to complain about anything food related. The daily home made cakes for guests and residents are a particularly lovely touch. Well done Shipley Manor. Keep it up. It's the staff that make all the difference and they seem some of the best.
Many thanks for taking the time to review our home and recognising the fabulous team ( and CHEF ) for their hard work and sterling service . Your kind words are greatly appreciated and i will of course share them with the team .
Mum became a resident at Shipley Manor Care Home 12 months ago. She had been struggling at home for months prior to assessment for care needs. Mum is now so much happier & settled in quite quickly. She is always saying how kind and caring the staff are. Mum is always happy to see her family but never unhappy when we leave. It means so much to us to know she is safe & has the care she requires.
Thank you for taking the time to review our home . It is a pleasure to care for your Mum and we are delighted at how she setlled in and has progressed in her time with us. Your kind words are greatly appreciated and i will of course share them with the Shipley Manor team
Mum came into Shipley Manor Care Home in October 2024. Since she has been here she has gone from strength to strength. She is so well looked after by all the wonderful staff. Mum is always telling us how lovely they are and how much she likes being here. I personally cannot fault anything.

My brother is extremely happy with his move to Shipley Manor 18 months ago and appreciates everything that is done for him by the caring staff. Some new activities are being installed which should help his dementia. Laundry and housekeeping are also excellent. We are very pleased to have chosen Shipley Manor, having visited 15 care home possibilities. My brother enjoys his new environment and loves the catering. We made the right choice.
Thank you for taking the time to review our home . It is a pleasure to care for your brother , Your kind words are greatly appreciated and I will of course share them with the Shipley Manor family .
We had an urgent need for respite care due to my mother being unable to walk without help. The initial consultation through to the ongoing care required has been excellent and supportive not only to Mum but the whole family. After realising more care was required than originally thought, the further help has been amazing. What a team! Couldn't ask for more. Thank you.

My dad was at shipley manor from jan 24 until he passed in Oct 24. The care he received was second to none. The staff treated us both like part of their family and nothing was too much trouble. The last few months he was unable to drink without thickener and could only eat certain things. Whether it took him 5 mins or an hour they sat with him and never rushed him. The last few days I was given a room where I could sleep or shower and was able to be with him to the end. The night manager emma facilitated it so I could lay next to him and he passed in my arms which I could never be more thankful for. Tracey had such a lovely relationship with him. All the other staff which are too many to mention were absolutely wonderful. I cannot recommend this wonderful care home enough.
Please accept our sincere condolences on the loss of your Dad . Your kind words in recognising the fabulous team at Shipley Manor are much appreciated and I will of course enure that they are shared with them.
My dad spent his last two weeks end of life care here. The staff were very helpful and took good care of him. He was treat with dignity and respect. The staff were very accommodating for myself and family and looked after us all at this difficult time.
Please accept our sincere condolences on the loss of your Dad . Thank you for taking the time to review our home at this difficult time and I will of course pass on your kind words to the Shipley Manor family
My Mother became a resident of Shipley Manor in April 2024 and remained in their care until her death in March 2025.
At all times the staff were polite and indeed loved our Mother dearly. We were always kept informed and enjoyed a wonderful, supportive relationship with the staff caring for her.
Mum loved her room, she loved her meals and enjoyed some pleasant outings with the staff.
There was a comprehensive activities programme and as a family we were always welcomed to join Mum to take part.
They mark all birthdays and important days throughout the year with gusto and passion. Dressing the home for Halloween, Christmas, Remembrance Days and many more.
Staff were always polite, caring and showed great empathy throughout her stay.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Shipley Manor to anyone considering residential care.
Security is excellent, care exceptional and the quality of the decor and cleanliness second to none.
I felt part of the family, as did Mum. Thank you
Please accept our sincere condolences on the loss of your Mother . I know she is sadly missed by the staff at the home . Your kind words in recognising the amazing team, at Shipley Manor is much appreciated and i will of course share with them ,
My mother has dementia but is still able to be fairly independent. Before entering Shipley manor however she felt isolated and was not enjoying life, or eating regularly. Since moving in 9 months ago she is much happier, loves the location and her room and I am much happier knowing her daily needs are being taken care of. She enjoys interacting with the staff and other residents, likes the meals and particularly loves not having to do domestic tasks! The home is well designed and kept very clean. The staff are cheerful and welcoming. Everyone who visits mum says how lovely it is. I would recommend it.
I would like to thank the wonderful team at Shipley manor for always taking such great care of my grandmother. She has always been looked after with great kindness and compassion and it bring us so much joy to know she is in such good hands. I am especially grateful to one staff member who recently went above and beyond to ensure my grandmother was able to attend my daughters christening, making a very speal occasion even more meaningful for our family.
Thank you so much for your kind comments which I will pass onto our team. At Shipley Manor we will always try to make those special, magical moments happen and we are very pleased we were able to do this for your Grandmother and family especially to see the joy on your Grandmothers face was wonderful. It has been an honour and privilege to look after your Grandmother.
When we picked him up , all the staff came to say goodbye and how much they'd enjoyed having him , which made him emotional . I knew then we had made the right choice of respite care . Thank you so much everyone .
Thank you for choosing Shipley Manor and taking the time to review our home . It was a pleasure to care for your father in law and look forward to seeing you all again . Your kind words are greatly appreciated and I will of course pass them on to the Shipley Manor family.
Shipley Manor is an excellent care home with wonderful caring staff. My mum was originally a respite patient with early-onset dementia. She became a permanent resident at the beginning of the year, this, together with her twenty-four-hour care from a team of dedicated, patient, friendly and caring staff, my mum continues to thrive and has a quality of life which has improved 100% since she has been a resident.
Thank you so much for your kind words. Were truly touched to hear how well your mum is doing at Shipley Manor. It means the world to our team to know that her quality of life has improved and that she feels safe and cared for. Well make sure to share your lovely feedback with everyone here.
Mum has been a resident now for a year. I have nothing but good things to say about everybody involved in her care. Any queries I have are settled very quick & efficiently. Staff are very supportive to both mum & myself. After visiting I come away knowing that mum is being well looked after . I would just like to say a big thankyou to all at Shipley Manor
Thank you for taking the time to review our home . It is always nice to receive recoginition for the care that the home team provides to residents and their families . I will of course pass your kind words to the Shipley Family .
Staff and management really friendly and helpful. My mum is a bit reluctant to get involved in the events program but they keep trying to persuade her.
Thank you for taking the time to review our home and recognising the great work that the team at Shipley Manor do . I will of course pass them on to the Shipley family .
The home itself is immaculate, always clean and welcoming. A special mention must go to the activities coordinator, who goes above and beyond to keep the residents mentally stimulated and engaged in a range of activities that bring them joy and purpose.
I couldn't be happier with the care my mum is receiving. Knowing she is in such safe and caring hands gives me great reassurance and peace of mind that my Mum is surrounded by such wonderful people.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you do.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a fabulous review . We really appreciate you recognsising the great work that the Shipley Manor Care team provide and I will of course make sure that your kind words are passed on .
My Mum has been a resident since winter 2023 and, from the very beginning, both myself, my Mum and my family have always felt so welcomed and cared for in every way.
My Mum has been looked after with all of the care I would wish she would have. All of the staff are amazing, and I am on first name terms with most of the carers and management. The carers on the floor and all of the management are unbelievable. As a family, we are so indebted to them all. Not only do they look after the residents but they also look after the whole family. I cannot thank them enough. Well done each and every one of you.
I particularly enjoy all of the activities put on for residents on a daily basis which aren't just limited to inside the care home but frequently involving trips out. The home has a strong link with the students at the local college who visit on a regular basis.
I would like to thank each and every one, keep up the good work.
Thank you so much for your kind words about our staff! We are incredibly proud of our team and are delighted to hear that they have made your Mum's stay so positive. We are committed to providing the highest quality of care and are grateful for your feedback, which helps us to continuously improve. We value your trust in us and look forward to continuing to care for Mum.

Meet the Team (2)

I am a registered nurse and have worked within the healthcare sector for 35 years gaining valuable experience in all sectors including adult social care.
I have a strong record of achievements as a Director of Nursing and Governance in hospitals as well as in Care Home Commissioning. More recently I have successfully opened 4 new care homes building them into the thriving homes they are today.
I believe a significant part of my role is to develop the skills and knowledge of the care team to deliver the best possible care and bring the home Outstanding. Having an MBA and business experience ensures the home has a strong future, something that is extremely important in the current economic climate.
I have 2 sons and a grandson and I have a passion for 1950s vintage weekends. I also have a French bulldog called Eric who loves meeting the residents and visitors at the home

Monica has always been passionate about food, and as Head Chef, she uses that passion to bring happiness, comfort and dignity to residents every day. For her, there is nothing more rewarding than seeing a smile at mealtimes or knowing a favourite dish has made someone's day. She feels proud to be part of the Shipley Manor family, where residents always come first, and considers it a privilege to contribute to such a warm and supportive home.
