We went along for a visit and were very impressed with the facilities. Very clean, tidy and spacious, with a beautiful view of the canal, which incidentally has plenty going on with lots of people walking, cycling and barges passing regularly.
Mum settled in very quickly and was comfortable. It really is like a fabulous hotel, and when we picked Mum up, she had been engaged all week with plenty of activities and people to talk to and enjoyed the food. For anyone that is nervous about trusting their loved ones into residential care, I urge you to go along to see the facilities and meet the team - you will not be nervous for long.
One of the team took Mum out on Saturday for a walk along the canal, and they stopped off for fish and chips. Where would you get that kind of attention?
Mum is going to be going back on a regular basis.
Dear Katharine, many thanks for taking the time to review our home. It is always our pleasure to care for your Mum, and we are delighted with how she has settled with us. Your kind words are greatly appreciated, and I will, of course, pass them on to the Shipley Manor family.
The staff were attentive, and she loved the soup.
Dear Sally, many thanks for taking the time to review our home. It was our pleasure to care for your mother-in-law, and we are delighted she enjoyed the soup! Your kind words are greatly appreciated, and I will, of course, pass them on to the Shipley Manor family.
They were one of the first residents to arrive.
The care is outstanding, the staff are engaged and really do have the best interests of both of them at heart.
The cleanliness is second to none; it’s like being in a 5-star hotel.
Home-cooked food looks delicious served in restaurant-style surroundings.
The rooms are spacious and airy, and their belongings dotted around the place really make it a home from home.
We cannot praise the whole team enough; we really feel at ease knowing they are being well cared for. Thank you!
Dear Charlotte, many thanks for taking the time to review our home. It is our pleasure to care for your loved ones, and are delighted they settled in so well. Your kind words are greatly appreciated, and I will, of course, pass them on to the Shipley family.
Shipley Manor Care Home has been a lifeline to our family. We had to put Dad there as an emergency when Mum was admitted to the hospital. He was "end of life" when admitted, but the staff have cared for so well; he is now so much better. Mum has now joined him, and they are giving her excellent care and support. The manager has been amazing throughout and has shown us nothing but kindness. Well done, Shipley Manor!
Dear Pauline, many thanks for taking the time to review our home. It has been our pleasure to care for your parents. Your kind words are greatly appreciated, and I will, of course, pass them on to the Shipley Manor family.
The rooms are lovely and clean, and she has a lovely view of the canal, which needs to be visited to be appreciated.
Thanks to the manager and staff for caring for my mum so well.
Dear Jane, many thanks for taking the time to review our home. It is our pleasure to care for your Mum. Your kind words are greatly appreciated, and I will, of course, pass them on to the Shipley Manor family.
The home is new and has the feel of a hotel with modern furnishings and lovely en-suite rooms.
The staff are very friendly, and nothing is too much trouble for them.
Communication with staff regarding my husband was excellent, especially from the manager, who sent a reassuring email the first day to say my husband had settled in well.
My husband said, 'it was a nice place', which reassured me that he'd been happy there.
Residents are treated with respect, dignity and as individuals and given the care they require.
I would definitely recommend Shipley Manor and have already arranged further respite for my husband.
Dear Nadia, Many thanks for taking the time to review our home. It was our pleasure to care for your husband are delighted that he settled in so well, and his experience was such a positive one. Your kind words are greatly appreciated, and I will, of course, pass them on to the Shipley Manor family.
The home was spotless, the rooms are a perfect size, and I must say their chef cooks to perfection.
The staff even look after the visitors and are always smiling.
I wish I could give you ten stars!
The only thing I can't comment on is the activities because my friend doesn't like participating with other people, unfortunately.
Obviously, I can't comment on the value for money, but whatever it cost, I would definitely recommend Shipley Manor to anyone.
All I can say now is, thank You.

Shipley Manor is the perfect place. It is new, sparkling and clean, and the common areas have the feel of a hotel; it is beautiful, bright, airy and tastefully done.
The icing on the cake is people. The manager leads a fantastic team. It is a happy, jolly place where you can relax knowing your loved ones are in capable hands. The team, I feel, go beyond the call of duty.
The food looks delicious and is homemade and varied, with all tastes and diets catered for.
Father came on in leaps and bounds way beyond expectations. He actually thrived in the environment, likening it to a stay in a hotel.
I would highly recommend Shipley Manor.

Shipley Manor is a bright, modern, welcoming home, and the staff are amazing... every single one I've met knows my husband and cares. It's situated by the canal within distance of Saltaire. It's worth more than five stars - you have to visit to appreciate just how nice it actually is... and a big thank you from me for caring for my husband and helping me when I've needed a chat... just a fabulous care home.
Dear Sue, many thanks for taking the time to review our home. We are delighted that you have chosen Shipley Manor, and it is our pleasure to care for your husband. Your kind words are greatly appreciated, and I will, of course, pass them on to the Shipley Manor family.

Meet the Team (2)

I am a registered nurse and have worked within the healthcare sector for 35 years gaining valuable experience in all sectors including adult social care.
I have a strong record of achievements as a Director of Nursing and Governance in hospitals as well as in Care Home Commissioning. More recently I have successfully opened 4 new care homes building them into the thriving homes they are today.
I believe a significant part of my role is to develop the skills and knowledge of the care team to deliver the best possible care and bring the home Outstanding. Having an MBA and business experience ensures the home has a strong future, something that is extremely important in the current economic climate.
I have 2 sons and a grandson and I have a passion for 1950s vintage weekends. I also have a French bulldog called Eric who loves meeting the residents and visitors at the home

Monica has always been passionate about food, and as Head Chef, she uses that passion to bring happiness, comfort and dignity to residents every day. For her, there is nothing more rewarding than seeing a smile at mealtimes or knowing a favourite dish has made someone's day. She feels proud to be part of the Shipley Manor family, where residents always come first, and considers it a privilege to contribute to such a warm and supportive home.
