I was very shaky when I arrived but was soon feeling better as all the staff made me feel at home. I have felt as if I have been cared for with great kindness all the time I stayed. Good food, entertainment and company. What more do you want! Thank you to you all.

My father moved into Silver Birch care home 10 days ago. The difference in my father is nothing short of amazing. The care he receives 24 hours a day is excellent. The care home itself is not only spotless it is also of the highest standard. Each staff member goes over and above to ensure everyone
including visitors feels at home. The other residents I have spoken to are very content, this is a joy to see. Special mention to the manager for all her help and support. Also the ladies for constantly supplying him with Latte! (his absolute favourite) This is without a doubt the Buckingham Palace of care homes.

My father arrived at Silver Birch Care Home at the end of February 2023. He was made very welcome and with the help of all staff settled in well. Unfortunately he had to go to hospital for three weeks in June 2023 with an infected gall bladder. He became very poorly and we asked for him to return home
to Silver Birch Care Home for end of life care, where he had exceptional care.

Father-in-law moved to Silver Birch Care Home in February 2023 from hospital. He was made very welcome and soon settled into the home on the second floor. At the beginning of June he complained of stomach pains and was taken to hospital where he stayed for three weeks. On his release to Silver Birch
Care Home he was again welcomed and his care has been exemplary. All the staff are most carting and friendly.

My dad is currently in Silver Birches. The facilities are good, and everything is clean and well looked after. The staff are kind and caring and have built up a good relationship with my dad. He has been in previous care homes, and this one is the best he has been in. He is comfortable and well cared
for. The area where residents can get coffee and cake and the lounge where they can receive guests are lovely. Both areas are good for residents to meet. There seems to be a good range of activities to keep the residents interested. Thank you to all the staff for their kindness and professionalism.

My reception from admin staff has been very lacking. When I was visiting my husband, I was not treated with respect. I was told my visitors and myself need to make an appointment.
The caring staff were excellent.
My husband called me on Saturday 1st April to say the receptionist staff in the office
were absent and person who I have managed a few words from was absent too. No newspaper. My husband hadn't been shaved, and carers were running around not knowing what was happening. A safeguarding issue needs looking into.

I reluctantly went to Silver Birch for rehab post-pneumonia and found it hard to settle for the first couple of days. I found the staff friendly and helpful; I soon settled in. My health has improved, I am walking more, and I enjoyed the spa bath facilities. The room was smart and comfortable. My clothes
were laundered, and I enjoyed the spa bath hairdresser. Thank you.

My father had pneumonia and had been very poorly. He was keen to still love independently but needed respite care to continue his recovery. We looked at a few homes, but Silver Birch came across well, and we visited - accommodation, care team friendly and delicious cake.
Eight weeks later, Dad has
come home. He is better than before he fought pneumonia.
The care he received was excellent, and the staff are friendly and kind.

My husband and myself were admitted for emergency respite care on the 22nd of December 2022. We received a warm welcome from the assistant manager and reception staff. Most of the staff provided good care. The activities "girls" were excellent - providing a range of interests for the residents and assisting
with care and personal hygiene. We felt the supper served at 1700 hours was rather early, as breakfast was 0830 the following day. A bedtime drink wasn't always offered. However, we understand staff have to put all residents to bed.

Mum went into Silver Birch for two weeks of respite and enjoyed it so much that she decided to stay permanently. All paperwork was arranged, I collected her belongings, and we made her room her own personal space. The staff are all welcoming and professional.

My mother-in-law arrived at Silver Birch from the hospital in October 22 to have palliative care. We don't know how long she has left, but she has been treated with kindness, friendliness and dignity. The staff are so welcoming to us as we visit from Dorest every weekend and cannot do enough for us.
They are all so kind. I cannot praise them enough. We feel confident she is being cared for and have no concerns.

I doubt we could have found a more helpful, caring home to spend her respite time. From cleaners to management, everyone did their job as a professional with a smile, and when I visited, drop-off and pick-up, the staff were great. If the situation comes up and we need respite, you will be the one we

I cannot speak highly enough of Silver Birch. All the staff are lovely, very friendly and helpful. I will forever feel grateful, especially to all the carers and nurses who nursed my 83-year-old mother back to health last year when she was recovering from a fall and unfortunately, very poor treatment
at the hospital. We were desperate as she couldn't walk and was in such a state. The next day I visited her at Silver Birch, and she already looked so much better and more like her old self. It was such a relief. After a few weeks, she returned home having made a brilliant recovery. We then admitted my father towards the end of last year as he has Alzheimer's. All the staff are wonderful. He has certainly put them to the test in many ways! I can't praise them highly enough. Silver Birch seems really more like a good hotel with wonderful carers and nurses. It is spotlessly clean, doesn't smell, and although it is in very sad circumstances, it is actually a nice place to visit! Thank you to all the staff.

I had the pleasure of attending the Silver Birch Care Homes team and resident's celebrations of the Queen's Jubilee. It was a wonderful experience, full of professional team members, all delivering a day to remember for their residents and visitors. Everyone was looked after tirelessly by the manager
and her team. The entertainment was fantastic and the food superb. Well done, Silver Birch team.

I was invited by my friend to attend the Queen's Jubilee celebration at Silver Birch. I/we had a lovely time. The staff were amazing and very attentive. It was a beautiful sunny day, and the garden was decorated with memorabilia. The food was lovely, and the celebration cake was incredible. I was delighted
to find out a few days later that they had won the competition for all their efforts. This is a beautiful care home. It’s like a five-star hotel, only better. Everyone is pleasant, and the staff all appear to love what they do.

Absolutely amazed by the whole team, the kindness, atmosphere and facilities. I could go on, but you must go and have a tour. They have excelled in everything they have been asked to do for my father. This is the second time for respite care as he really enjoyed his time the first time. I have recommended
it to friends who have also booked as they also felt it was the best they had ever seen. It's more like a six-star hotel with all the facilities to match. I highly recommend staying there.

Sophie Brown

Job Title: Registered Home Manager Joined: 2021

Sophie has worked within the social care sector for the past 21 years, working as a Registered Nurse in different homes across Suffolk and Essex. She began her employment with Silver Birch in early 2021, as a Night Nurse and then progressed to Clinical Lead, Deputy Manager and finally onto Home Manager. Caring for everyone who comes to Silver Birch is Sophie's main focus and passion, to ensure all our residents are made to feel cared for and safe.

Craig Avery

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2021

Craig worked as a Carer for 8 years supporting vulnerable people with challenging behaviours. He was promoted to Senior Carer with responsibility for the residents’ safety and welfare. He then joined Silver Birch as a Senior Carer and have since advanced to Deputy Manager sharing the focus and values within our home.

Job Title: Customer Services Officer Joined: 2024

Emma has worked in the Care Sector for over 20 years with a background of office management and customer facing roles. She is focussed on supporting residents to enjoy life at Silver Birch and to embrace every opportunity to deliver quality person-centred care.
