Silver Birch Care Home provides residential, dementia, respite and nursing care in a luxurious and beautiful setting.

Staff are hand picked and fully trained to provide care with empathy and respect. There are private dining facilities to celebrate your special days with your friends and family and the chef will prepare anything you fancy.

Private dining is part of the all inclusive fee and therefore there are no extras for this service. Fair use policy applies.

They also have their own pub/bar - The Railway Tavern, to enjoy a drink or two on the house.

My husband's care at Silver Birch Care Home has been exemplary from day one. Management and care staff are welcoming and cheerful. Surroundings are modern and well thought through with emphasis on residents' well-being. I would not hesitate in recommending this home to anyone.

My sister first went into Silver Birch as an emergency, but after assessment, we were told she needed full-time care. She settled really well. She loves the place. So much to do with little trips out. She loves the food and entertainment they lay on. As her sister, I find nothing is too much trouble,
and they keep me informed at all times. I often hear laughter on my visits to see her, and that's from residents and staff, everyone is friendly, and they do their utmost to care for the clients, going the extra mile. Well done to all the staff. Keep it up.

After a painful stay in the hospital, I jokingly suggested to the ambulance nurse, that I was hoping for a glass of red wine on arrival - and it was a full bottle! So I was thrilled to see my room - quite a palace. On settling in, I was so pleased to be in a quiet, peaceful and friendly atmosphere.
Now that I am feeling almost pain-free and I've tried extremely hard not to be over-demanding, but having survived 92-years, I know how I like to live and enter a world which matches this. So I have been very positive in my simple requests, and everybody has been kind.

I cannot thank Silver Birch Care Home enough for the instant and professional help they gave to both my mother and father in their time of distress. The nursing staff for my mother's injuries and the dementia care for my father. I would not hesitate to recommend this caring home to anyone.

My mother is receiving end of life care at the Silver Birch. The staff are so caring, compassionate and treating her with dignity. Everything I wish for at this stage of her life. When speaking to them, I feel they are my friends, which is very comforting. My mum is so, so comfortable there, and I would

Fortunately for my elderly nanna, who was struggling with dementia, and isolation in her supported housing, she was able to go into this lovely care home when it was opened up for Covid patients and she tested positive. Finally, she was looked after, and given the attentive care that she deserved in
her last few days. The place is welcoming, calm and clean with a happy atmosphere. On my visit, I thought the staff were incredible, busy yet friendly, attentive and caring. I was so grateful to see Nanna in a lovely airy room, clean and fresh with sun flooding in and her photos by her bed. I had lovely chats with the nurses and left feeling thankful. However, unfortunately, her son later received news of her death in a very abrupt way, which is a shame, as he was left angered and upset. Rather than a lack of care, I suspect this may be due to a cultural difference/language barrier, and such news needs to be delivered very sensitively. Apart from this, I speak very highly of the place.

I had the pleasure of enjoying a short stay here in January 2021. It was more like a room in a 4-star hotel than my expectation of a care home. Lovely staff and excellent food. I have no hesitation in recommending this lovely home.

Sophie has worked within the social care sector for the past 21 years, working as a Registered Nurse in different homes across Suffolk and Essex. She began her employment with Silver Birch in early 2021, as a Night Nurse and then progressed to Clinical Lead, Deputy Manager and finally onto Home Manager. Caring for everyone who comes to Silver Birch is Sophie's main focus and passion, to ensure all our residents are made to feel cared for and safe.
