My mother continues to receive excellent care and attention at Stratton Court. She is very happy, secure and her needs are met by very caring staff. As a family we feel we could not have made a better choice as we know she is in good hands and her health is well maintained and attended to. She is encouraged to be mobile and join in activities and enjoy the company, food and comfortable environment.
Thank you for your lovely feedback. We're delighted to hear your mother feels happy, secure and well cared for at Stratton Court. It's wonderful to know she enjoys staying active, socialising and the comfortable environment. Your kind words mean a lot to our team and we're honoured to support your family. Please let us know if there's anything more we can do.
Genuinely excellent. Sometimes a long wait after the alarm button is used.
Thank you for your feedback! We're delighted to hear you found the service excellent. We apologise for any delays you've experienced after using the alarm button. Your safety and comfort are our top priorities and we'll review our response times to ensure we're always providing prompt assistance. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any concerns or suggestions.
Very good for most options. But for residents can be confusing - Am I a ground floor or 1st floor resident? I need info from both floors if possible as I want to join in. Up-to-date info would be nice. No criticism of the activity lady but activities could be increased? Excellent help from staff.
Thank you for your thoughtful review! We're glad to hear you've received excellent help from our staff. We understand how important it is to have clear and up-to-date information about activities. We'll work on improving communication about which floor activities are taking place and ensure that...
My only complaint is the return of her own clothes. I have raised this on numerous occasions. All her tops and other clothing are labelled.
Thank you for your positive feedback and for trusting us with your mother's care. We're so glad to hear she is content and enjoying the entertainment and activities. We truly appreciate your ongoing support. We apologise for the issue regarding her clothing, and we understand your concern. Please...
The help I had from my carers getting me back to good health was second to none. They are now friends for life, their love and devotion to their job was and is admirable.
It's heartwarming to hear about the exceptional care you received. The dedication and compassion your carers showed in helping you regain your health is truly admirable. It's wonderful that they've become lifelong friends. Their commitment to their work and to your well-being speaks volumes about their character and professionalism.
My mum stayed here for nine weeks at the beginning of the year, the security was appalling - the first few weeks she was there none of the keypads worked to get onto the floors - anyone could have accessed her room/other residents. Within a week of being there she developed the most horrendous ulcer on her back - she simply wasn't turned - no one checked on her. The carers did their best, the management is very top-heavy - lots of suits, not enough people doing the jobs that need to be done. The carers aren't just carers, which is why they can't care properly, they are the kitchen staff, cleaners etc. as well.
We take all comments very seriously and apologise for any distress caused. Rest assured, we are taking steps to address all concerns raised. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us improve our services. Please feel free to contact us directly if you have any further concerns or suggestions. If you are dissatisfied with our services, we encourage you to get in touch with us as soon as possible.
Firstly and most importantly the home smells great! Plenty of light and positivity upon entering the reception area. My father's room was easily accessible although not big. Some of the fixtures could do with a bit of attention (wardrobe door) but by far the most important thing was the care that he is receiving - it has been exemplary so far. All the caring staff cannot do enough for my father and he has felt cared for through what has been a difficult time in these past few weeks. Very many thanks.
Thank you for your kind words. We are delighted to hear that your experience has been positive, particularly regarding the care your father has received. Ensuring a welcoming and positive atmosphere is important to us and we're pleased that you found the reception area to be light and uplifting. We...
My wife is content and appears to get on well with all the staff.
Thank you so much for trusting us to look after your wife.
I would like to thank everyone for their outstanding love and care the nursing they gave to Mum.
You truly made it her home. We were overwhelmed by all your support.
On behalf of everyone at Stratton Court Care Home, we extend our heartfelt condolences for the loss of your beloved mum. We are deeply moved by your kind words and grateful for the opportunity to have cared for her during her time with us. It was our privilege to honour her wishes and provide a...
Very well decorated home right from the reception all the way to the residents' bedrooms and bathrooms.
Nothing is ever too much trouble!

My mother-in-law has been a resident at Stratton Court for just over a year. My wife and our family feel very confident that she is being given exemplary care and attention in every way. It is so obvious during our regular visits that she feels completely safe, 'at home' and happy. Mum has built up a great rapport with all of the caring team and established some good friends there since she came in initially last January. This stimulation and social interaction with people of all ages plus the medical care she receives has improved her quality of life dramatically. The staff at Stratton Court have proven to work as an efficient team, with nurses on hand, alongside the local GP surgery and Social Services. This level of care would have been impossible had she stayed in her own home alone, even with carers as she lived 80 miles away from us. Mum loves the activities and she lights up with the musical sessions, visiting dogs, miniature ponies etc. The courtyard is wonderful during warm days.
A lot of time and effort goes into creating an active, fun and diverse activity plan for all of our residents to enjoy.
We are so happy to receive your positive feedback and will continue to do our best looking after your mother-in-law.

Stratton Court Care Home
Staff and management are fantastic - they really provide person-centred care to all residents. I pop into the home at various times and see this across all teams. Management is open to all new ideas and really works as part of the team. The care team is dedicated and well-skilled. It’s a delight to visit and hear how comfortable and happy the residents are.
All the best.
My mother has been attending Stratton Court Care Home one day a week as a daycare user. The home has been very flexible in the daycare arrangement that we have (usually one day each week), and she very much enjoys her time there. There are a wide variety of activities provided throughout the week, and my mum has particularly enjoyed joining in these. The staff have been wonderful with her - caring and supportive, and I always feel that I am leaving her in a caring, safe environment. I can't really comment on the food and drink as I have not eaten at the home and my mum does not have her own room.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, and we have passed this on to the team. We are really pleased we can accommodate the daycare needs, and love welcoming your mum to our home!
Bright, spacious rooms and the food is lovely.
The effort and thought that goes into the activities and entertainment are amazing.
Couldn’t think of a better home for mum to be.
Thank you.
We are so grateful for your lovely review and have passed this on to the team. We look forward to many more wonderful activities and days with your mum, and thank you for choosing Stratton Court!
The facilities are of a high quality and kept nice and clean.
Activities are varied and I have been encouraged to continue my gardening.
We are always improving our activity planner with different daily activities, and we have also welcomed a fantastic new clinical manager to the team who has a wealth of experience in care.

Since being on oxygen 24/7, life at times has been very difficult to cope with. The care and support I receive from compassionate staff who work with me and my family helps me to get through those difficult times.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are pleased we are able to assist and support you and your family and will pass your feedback on to the team.
I am happy. The staff are very caring, they want the best for the residents.
Thank you for taking the time to review Stratton Court Care Home. We will pass this on to the team and are so grateful for such positive feedback!
I couldn't ask for better care for Mum. The staff care with love and understanding. I feel Mum is safe and well looked after, especially as she is now room-bound.
I would like to thank all staff for the support they give mum.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are thrilled with such constructive and positive feedback. We will ensure to pass this on to the team, and wish you a Merry Christmas!
My mum was very nervous going into a care home, but a family wedding abroad made it a necessity. She braced herself for a two-week stay with increased anxiety. I chose Stratton Court Home as it was the opposite of what she imagined a care home would be like; it was bright, modern and somewhat quirky (there’s a Rolls Royce in the entrance!). The staff were all very attentive and friendly during our initial visit and drop-off, but I couldn’t imagine they’d keep up their positivity for her whole stay. I am very pleased to say that I was completely wrong. The staff were absolutely amazing! They were all lovely people who genuinely seemed to care for my mum's welfare and happiness. When I picked her up, she was relaxed and happy, expressing sadness at having to say goodbye to them. We will definitely be using Stratton Care Home for respite care in future, and if a permanent placement becomes necessary, it will be our first choice.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a kind and wonderful review. It was a pleasure to look after your mother, and we are glad we could support you so you could enjoy some family time!
I stayed in Stratton Court in August/September 2023 after a fall at home and subsequent operation. From the moment I got there, I was surrounded by very loving/caring staff - nothing was too much trouble for them, providing much needed support/care and encouragement. Absolutely wonderful. The surroundings/rooms were spacious and homely - everything was of the highest standard. Food great and of a consistent very high standard. The entertainment/activities programme had been carefully thought out, being very varied and pitched correctly to meet all the residents'/patients' needs. There was always someone on hand for that, sometimes, very reassuring chat. I cannot thank everybody enough for all the consistent loving care I received, which has enabled me to get back on track.
Thank you for taking the time to review our care home. We are thrilled to hear of your experience and will pass this onto our team who will be delighted. We hope you keep in touch!
