My mother moved into Sycamore Heights in the middle of March. Even though she's only lived there a month, she has settled in so quickly. All the staff are very welcoming, approachable and have helped out in every way that we have asked. The food staff have been very accommodating for individually adapting the meals to suit my mother's preferences. My mother is very happy living there and we are delighted with the homely feel of the care home.
Its wonderful to know that our team has been welcoming, approachable, and supportive during this important...
What a lovely place Sycamore Heights is! The rooms and facilities are all great, but what really makes this such a special place is the extra effort all members of staff put into making the residents feel seen, heard, valued, welcomed and part of the family.
The home is modern, bright and well maintained. The food is excellent and the staff caring and gentle. The activities are varied and stimulating. The room is comfortable, with a pleasant view.
Although my mother finds the respite breaks difficult, she does enjoy the company and the activities especially the chair yoga. I am vey happy with the care and support she gets the staff are great with her.
The food is varied and excellent quality and will always accommodate the residents.
We often go back to visit and join in the activities in the afternoons and made very welcome when I like to keep mum acquainted.
I have nothing negative to say .

Your comments mean a great deal to our team, who are committed every day to providing compassionate, high-quality care and a welcoming...
Having previously submitted a revue saying how happy I was with the Care for my husband at Sycamore Heights, I was totally devastated to be told that he would have to move elsewhere. because of his dementia. The support workers were also devastated to lose him. Not so, the management (new manager). I was told it would be in his best interests! I don't accept that. BE CAUTIOUS!
We are sorry that your husband has had to move from our care home, as we know you wanted him to remain at Sycamore Heights. A decision was made by a multi-disciplinary team, that it was in his best interest to be relocated, where his needs could be better met. Any decision for a resident to leave...
Mum has been a resident since late November, and seems happy, calm, and settled. The staff are lovely and seem to genuinely care about her. I get regular feedback about her health and happiness, and feel good about her new home.
Thank you for sharing your feedback, we appreciate any opportunity to improve if there is anything we can do better and the team is happy to know the feedback you have shared.

He needed assistance with showering which they did on request by him.
The home is immaculate. Its like a good quality hotel . The rooms are well furnished with a lovely ensuite wetroom .
The staff are all friendly and helpful
Hannah was great at sorting out anything

The food is excellent with a varied choice on the menu each day, my mother has been enjoying the meals and has gained weight since being here.
The transition for mum moving here has been smooth and she has settled in extremely well, being in Sycamore Heights has improved her quality of life and it's reassuring to know she is in safe, caring hands.

Dad has been very well looked after during his two weeks stay. I have visited many times and each staff member I have observed has been polite, supportive and lovely with dad. Dad has enjoyed the food and interaction from staff. The home has been a lovely environment to visit, very welcoming and a homely feel. I would not hesitate to recommend the home. The activities I only marked as satisfactory as Dad would have enjoyed more musical activities but that is a personal thing for him. Thank you all.

The home is extremely well maintained and always presented to a high standard of cleanliness. Staff are consistently kind, patient, and supportive towards both residents and their families, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Before admission, my mother had experienced significant weight loss due to a reduced appetite. Since staying at Sycamore Heights, she has rediscovered her enjoyment of food and has already begun to gain weight. The menu is varied and appealing, which has had a very positive impact on her health and wellbeing.
Overall, the standard of care has been excellent, and we have complete confidence in the support she is receiving.

My first impression of Sycamore Heights Care Home was that it is extremely well run and that the atmosphere is very caring. It is attractive from a funishing and decorative point of view and the overriding atmosphere is of both kindness and competence. I was in there for respite care at the end of July 2025. I was well looked after and one of the most important things for me was that I was treated as a person and not just an "old person". Both staff and residents were kind and welcoming and I felt confident that had I needed more nursing care it would have been provided.
Thank you so much for taking your time to review Sycamore Heights. All the team pride themselves an providing personalised care and we are so please that you feel were treated as an individual during your stay with us. I will share your kind words with the team.
Oh and did I mention how good the food is! - again it is excellent
So many other care homes, in our experience, do not meet the claims made in their brochures but here is one that truly does!

At Sycamore Heights we pride ourselves on committing to provide a homely welcoming environment to all that stay and visit, i am so please that you and your mother felt that we have met you expectations in providing excellent care.
Dad has been here three months now and the transition has not been easy for him. Sycamore staff have always been exemplary in their treatment of and patience with my father. The setting itself is spotless and a safe and welcoming environment for residents and visitors.
Thank you for your kind wards and taking the time to share your review of Sycamore Heights. We pride ourself on ensuring all that visit or stay at Sycamore Heights feels welcomed and we are please that this is your experience. I will share your review with the team.
We visited 3 different care homes with my mother and decided Sycamore Heights Care Home was the best. I am generally very happy with our decision. My mother's dementia has worsened considerably since her admission and although I have found the staff to be friendly and caring I know she doesn't agree. Hopefully this situation will improve. My ony issue is the time it takes staff to answer the front door. My sister once waited 15 minutes and gave up in the end.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with Sycamore Heights Care Home. We're pleased to hear that you found the staff to be friendly and caring, and that you felt confident in your choice after visiting several homes. We understand how challenging it can be to watch a loved one's...
My dad came for respite care 3 months ago after a two week stay in hospital. He was very frail, extremely low in himself and has severely ulcerated legs. He also has an open wound on his head. The staff and the nursing care has been beyond our expectations. They have shown endless patience and compassion with my dad. They have been there at all times helping him to settle. His health has improved immensely. He has now decided to stay for the foreseeable future.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review Sycamore Heights. We are so pleased that your dad has chosen to stay with us. The team pride themselves on providing compassionate care. I will ensure your kind words are shared with the team.
The team at Sycamore a super, they look after Dad really well. They have adjusted to his requirements really well and apart from losing his independence he is very happy there. They call me with updates and keep me informed when he has had a fever or needs a hospital visit. Great place, great team. Thoroughly recommend.
Thank you so much for taking your time to review Sycamore Heights Care Home, i will share your kind words with the team. We are so please that your Dad is happy here with us. I am a motivated, committed, and adaptable nurse and leader with over two years’ experience in the private healthcare sector and more than 20 years of NHS nursing experience.
My nursing values are rooted in compassion, kindness, dignity, and respect. I am committed to delivering safe, person-centred care and to treating residents, families, and colleagues with empathy and professionalism.
I value teamwork, integrity, and continuous learning, and I strive to support and empower others while maintaining the highest standards of care. I was awarded the British Empire Medal (BEM) in the 2020 Queen’s Birthday Honours in recognition of my service to nursing during the COVID-19 pandemic.
From the very first moment I walked through the doors of Sycamore Heights Care Home and began my journey as part of the team, I felt a warmth that is difficult to put into words. There was an immediate sense of belonging, as if I had been welcomed into a family rather than just starting a new role.
The staff are extraordinary — kind beyond measure, endlessly supportive, and full of genuine compassion. From day one, they made me feel accepted, encouraged, and never alone. Every smile, every gentle word, and every act of care comes straight from the heart. You can feel the love, respect, and dignity in everything they do, not only for the residents but for one another as well.
Sycamore Heights Care Home is a place where kindness is lived, not just spoken about. Being part of this team is more than a job — it is an honour and a privilege.

She is also skilled in training, supervision, service improvement and ensuring compliance within healthcare regulation and best practices.

My work history has been quite varied. After acquiring a degree in fashion and textiles and working in various freelancing fashion-related roles, I moved into Sales and Customer services working for the Bedfordshire Times and Citizens Newspaper team. From this role, I progressed through Telecommunications and the recruitment sectors from Sales Representative to Business Development. I was working as a care assistant for the next 10 years. It was in care that I found a real purpose in life and absolutely love giving back and helping others through their lives. The last two years of my time at my previous job (in care) were spent as an administrator which I enjoyed immensely and that is how I came to join the Kingsley family and look forward to my continued commitment and passion within the care sector as Sycamore Heights administrator.
