My dad has had very good care here. The staff have gradually got to know and understand him and treat him as an individual. They have always acted in his best interest and when necessary have contacted GPs, paramedics and other members of the MOT. Some initial teething problems have been addressed and carers and other staff are always available when I need to talk to them. Two staff members in particular need thanking for all they do.
Thank you for leaving your review for Tallington Lodge Care Home. We appreciate you taking the time to leave your comments regarding the care your dad is receiving here in our home. Your kind words will be passed on to the staff team.
We visited a number of care homes to find short-term respite care for my mother-in-law. While we were waiting for our tour of Tallington, we witnessed the care and respect given to a resident by one of the staff which made us feel that this was the place for us. A fiercely independent woman, my mother-in-law was very unhappy to be going into a care home but after a month, she was sad to be leaving. All the staff were kind caring and sensitive; not only to my mother-in-law's needs but also to all the family.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review for Tallington Lodge Care Home. Your positive words and kind comments will be shared with the staff team.
We cannot fault the exceptional standard of care he received from all staff, and the support and guidance given to us as a family were very much appreciated.
The kindness and experience of the staff are beyond measure and we could not have made a better choice in residential care.
Thank you all.
Thank you for leaving a review for Tallington Lodge Care Home, especially at this sad time. Your kind words and feedback will be shared with the staff team. Warmest regards to you and your family.
Mum has been in care at Tallington Lodge for nearly 10 years, suffering from dementia. The care throughout, from carers and management has been excellent. Although the dementia got increasingly bad, Mum was always happy there, even when she was bed-bound. Management has always been ultra helpful in all circumstances.
Thank you for taking the time to write your review. Your kind words and feedback are appreciated and will be shared with the staff team. It is our pleasure to care for your mum. Warm regards.
My mother has been at Tallington for 3 years this year and has received the best care I could have wished for. The staff are empathetic to both residents and their families and my mother has always been treated with the utmost dignity and care. Moving Mum into a nursing home was heartbreaking for me as I had been caring for her - however Tallington was a godsend and showed me that Mum needed the care of professionals. Mum, when she was able, took part in many of the activities that are provided for the residents, and even during lockdown when times were tough and spirits low the team always had a gentle word, a kind ear to listen, and a smile to brighten up the residents. I truly cannot thank the team at Tallington enough for everything they have done.

The atmosphere is warm, friendly and inviting and everyone is dedicated to creating an environment that is as close to "home" as possible when also coping with some very difficult circumstances when dealing with dementia.
We recommend Tallington and all the staff very highly and are so thankful that our mother is getting the best care that we are no longer able to provide for her at home due to her worsening condition.

My relative (high dependency dementia) was in Tallington for respite care for one week - an excellent experience from start to finish. Easy to organise with a very helpful manager reassuming me that my relative would be well looked after and actually took an interest in my relative and what she liked. Easy drop off and handover, able to see the room and care home. The manager offered us lunch with my relative if we so wished. No issues during her stay, she said she had a lovely time, everyone was friendly and the food was good. All her belongings were returned in a freshly laundered and neatly packed manner. Excellent handover back to us. Followed up by a courtesy call the following day to see if my relative had settled back home and anything else they could assist with. Overall, the best respite experience we’ve had. We would definitely use this home again. Thank you.
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave a review for Tallington Lodge, we are delighted to hear that your relative enjoyed their respite stay with us and that you and your family had such a positive experience. This is an exceptional home for your loved ones. The staff are wonderful, so caring and kind -it’s as if they are looking after their own family. The food is so very good. It is presented as if you were in a restaurant and is delicious. The hair salon is glamorous and such a lovely place to go for a pamper. Since my Mother moved here from another home, her health and well-being has improved in leaps and bounds. She is a different person from the one she was 8 months ago. The management is excellent and nothing is too much trouble. I can’t thank the staff enough for the care they have given my Mum.

I cannot praise all the staff enough for what they are doing and have done for both of my parents. My mother is on End of Life care. The attention she gets is second to none and I know that without all the help from the staff, Mum would be suffering. It is a tough time for our family but Tallington Lodge staff make it just a little easier for us, especially as they have had it really tough themselves during this pandemic. The biggest thank you isn't enough.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a lovely review for Tallington Lodge at such a difficult time for your family. Your mother is a much-loved part of our Tallington family and our staff team greatly appreciate your kind words at this time.
Tallington Lodge Care Home is like a 5-star hotel. Beautiful decor, spotlessly clean, excellent facilities and fantastic staff who always go the extra inch. Managed superbly by the manager who knows all the residents and their relatives, personally.

My mother had a 6 weeks respite care after a hospital stay. She received excellent care and is now well and fit to go home. She was very happy with everything and if a similar situation comes up, she will choose Tallington Lodge Care Home to stay again.

Such a nice place, the quality of the home is excellent. The staff are always attentive and helpful. From the small amount of time I have spent there seeing my nan, I am so happy that I know she is being looked after so well.
Thank you for your review of Tallington Lodge Care Home, we are delighted that you are so pleased with our care of your nan; it's a pleasure to care for her as part of our Tallington Lodge family.
My review refers to the whole period of my mother's residence, almost 18-months, and continuing.
Our mother has been most happy from the outset and continues to enjoy living at this attractive and well-designed home, providing a stimulating and cheerful atmosphere to all and a broad range of important facilities and amenities for living in later life.
It truly benefits from a most dedicated team of staff who each day demonstrate their commitment to the varying personal requirements and individual wishes of residents, and who also work together to provide a complete and restful 'home-life to all living there. Some qualified medical staff are on hand too as an important part of the care and medical regime. This all gives confidence to our mother and our family, who know she is well looked after.
The home is to be congratulated for its robust and successful efforts in managing the well being of residents during the ongoing pandemic.

Beautiful home with a very caring staff. My mum has been very happy here over the last 6-years. Lots of activities for the resident's, something new every week. It is a very friendly but very professional home and always greeted by the staff with a smile. As my mum is now 94, she has become a little unwell recently, but the care she has received is second to none, and if I need an update on my mum's wellbeing, a senior carer is always available. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this home, if my mum is happy, then her family are.
Thank you for leaving a review for Tallington Lodge Care Home; we are delighted that you are so pleased with our care for your mother. It is a pleasure to care for her as part of our family here at Tallington Lodge.
General care, cleanliness, food and support is excellent with very caring staff. It's the little things. For example, servicing of wheeled walker found to be in an unsafe condition, lack of checking that Mum has her hearing aids and glasses (she has dementia and cannot remember that she needs to wear them).
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for Tallington Lodge Care Home; we appreciate all comments and feedback. We have noted your concerns and will address them immediately. Please do speak to the staff at the home or myself if you ever have any questions, you can call me on 01780 740314 to discuss any issues or speak to me when you next visit.
Excellent, luxury surroundings with very friendly, helpful staff who seem to genuinely care about their residents.
Thank you for writing a review for Tallington Lodge Care Home; we are pleased that you are so happy with our care for your loved one.
Mum was concerned and worried when told she was to be transferred to Tallington Lodge. She had images of sad old people, bad food and impatient carers in her head - her preconception of a 'care home'. Those images were dispelled immediately on arrival. The building is modern with a cared-for exterior - a good first impression - but ultimately it's what's on the inside that counts. She was welcomed upon arrival by staff, then shown to the room that would be her temporary home for the next few weeks. A beautiful room, tastefully decorated and homely. She settled in to begin her convalescence. The most important element in a care home is the staff - definitely the jewel in Tallington's crown; so caring and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Managers, daily care staff, kitchen and laundry staff, they were all lovely, even when Mum got a bit snappy due to pain, side effects of strong medication or not quite getting to the toilet in time, she was always made to feel it was okay - the staff were always kind and caring. I'm pleased to say Mum is well on the way to getting back to full functional capacity but we will always be grateful for the wonderful care she received at Tallington Lodge. Thank you.
I cannot praise all the staff enough. Big thank you.
Tallington Lodge is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. I really don’t know what I would have done without them. A big thank you to all carers and staff who are taking great care of my mother who has been a resident since March 2019. They have all been outstanding, especially throughout this awful pandemic. Thank you to all of you.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for Tallington Lodge Care Home, we appreciate all comments and feedback. It's wonderful to hear that you are pleased with the care of your Mother; it is a pleasure to care for her as part of our Tallington Lodge family.
