The Village nursing home is a modern, purpose-built home providing residential and nursing care to up to 90 people with a variety of needs.

Set in a residential area of Bromley, West Midlands, the home is close to local amenities and beauty spots. There is a bus stop right outside where the Number 2 bus goes directly into Dudley town centre.

Each bedroom is single and has en-suite facilities, residents can also relax and socialise in communal areas.

This is a very well-managed care home. The standard of care and consideration to both residents and visitors/relatives is excellent. Nursing staff and carers are very supportive and informative. All staff are friendly, approachable and always polite.

I would like to say you are all very polite, very kind, welcoming always, can't do enough for you, if you need help with anything, if you have to telephone they always speak very nicely and are helpful and always find it very easy to oblige in any way they can to sort you out.

When we arrive at The Village we are always greeted with a smile and we are escorted onto the lift up to floor 2 where the nurses fetch my sister and we either go to her room or a quiet room. The nurses are always helpful and the rooms are nice, clean and tidy. Also, my sister is clean and dressed tidy
and appears to be very happy here, which makes us happy! So thanks to all the nurses and admin staff for looking after her so well.

Mum has been in The Village now for just over a year. She is well looked after and the staff treat her with dignity, respect and importantly affection. She is kept clean as is the home itself. When we visit we are made to feel welcome by all staff.

Mom has been in The Village Nursing Home for over 12 months. Have found them to be very professional and caring. They met all her needs which are quite demanding and keep her clean and tidy. In a previous care home she was in she had constant infections due to lack of bathing.

My husband was there just twelve months before he passed away and he and the family were treated in the most respectable manner, could not have wished for better care from all the staff on the Maples unit. I visited my husband most days, spent a lot of time there and I was treated with respect. All
the staff was very pleasant and always helpful and also very hard working. I have missed going to the home and seeing other residents and all staff, I wish to say a very big thank you to management and all staff, thank you again.

My father was previously in a home where his needs were not being met and in all honesty my family feared the worst for him. Having him at The Village Nursing Home has given him a new lease of life. Today is the first time I have been into visit my dad and I have to say it's the first time in months he has looked relaxed, so my dad obviously feels happy here. The decor and facilities are lovely and all the staff I have met have been helpful and friendly.

It has only been a week since my dad moved to The Village. The staff were so welcoming on his arrival. We have noticed a huge difference in my dad's appearance - very clean and clean-shaven. He seems calmer and happier than we have previously seen.

Great service for my brother who has, since been at the home, never been happier.
All of the staff are very friendly and answer any questions you have. Rooms are fantastic size and very homely.

My husband has dementia and is and is treated by staff with compassion and patience and respect. He is also a diabetic and the nurses treat him with care, keeping his diabetes under control. The office staff are always helpful, cheerful and positive. My husband is warm, clean, well fed and comfortable.

It has taken me a long time to write this review as I am now grieving the loss of my father. He was admitted into this home in November due to dementia and not managing at home, becoming extremely forgetful. This home was meant to care for him and do a better job than myself. He went in being able to
walk, talk, feed himself. The care he received was below standard that I had to contact safeguarding and CQC, they investigated the home. My dad was an insulin dependent diabetic that needed his blood sugars to be checked regularly and receive his insulin. He was admitted into hospital with unrecordable blood sugars and being unresponsive. The hospital doctors told us we needed to prepare ourselves as he wasn't going to survive. I am unable to state in-depth what occurred at this home, however what we have experienced in our opinion is very poor substandard care and poor management. The home does not warrant any stars

Our mom was placed at the village for 2 weeks post-hospital admission. I cannot thank all the staff enough for how they have looked after mom and us, as a family. Everyone is so friendly, caring and professional. Covid visits are easy to book and they try to be as accommodating as is possible. Nothing
is too much trouble for any of the staff, the girls in the office are brilliant and are always at hand for any information you need. The girls called me for Mom to talk to me when she first arrived and was a little confused, they really put our minds at rest and were very reassuring. Thank you to all the staff, you really are a credit to the health care profession.
