My father has been attending Victoria House since the summer and now goes three days a week. He is always eagerly waiting for the bus to collect him, which tells me how keen he is to go. My impression is that the staff are all so friendly and caring - they seem very involved and appear to treat each visitor as an individual. The attention to detail that has gone into the decoration and comfort at the home was a big surprise - it's an instant indication of a facility and staff that really do go the extra mile to make the service users feel at home and comfortable. My father has been taken on a day trip and a Christmas lunch - and it's just so good that he has these opportunities. I feel it's given him back a sense of purpose, independence and new social interaction at a time he really needed it. It's so reassuring to know that in the hours he's there he's being well cared for and I can rely fully on the staff. I really do appreciate Victoria House in every way. Thanks to you all.

Victoria House is run by a caring manager who has the service users needs at the forefront of all the decisions she makes. My mum has attended this day centre for several years now, three days a week. She may be feeling low and unmotivated at home but when she gets there she is engaged and stimulated in so many ways that when she gets home her mood has been lifted. It truly is a fantastic help in keeping my mum healthy and allowing my dad to have a break when she’s at Victoria House.

My husband has attended Victoria House for the past year. He arrives confused and grumpy but comes out smiling.
I leave him there with complete confidence. There is always a happy atmosphere there.

The staff are wonderful.

Since Mum has been going to the Victoria Day Centre, it has taken a great weight off my mind, knowing that she is in a caring, safe and friendly environment run by a team who expertly manage her needs. It is spotlessly clean, provides delicious meals and a variety of activities in an attractive and comfortable setting. The staff are lovely; so patient and flexible. They treat everyone as an individual. The Manager is outstanding. She is passionate about her job and regularly goes the extra mile. My Mum is in very good hands.

My wife, who was at first nervous and doubtful with the idea of attending Victoria House, is now looking forward each week and now attends two days. The first morning she went my wife came home like a different person because she had been stimulated and given first class attention.

I cannot speak too highly of the manager, the assistant manager and the staff. They are caring and aware of the needs of each of the attendees.

I have already recommended Victoria House to a friend whose husband has greatly appreciated his first visit and came out a different person. This is a place where you can leave your loved one with confidence and you will welcome them home later happy and content. Of course, people who attend are at different levels of need but for my wife, it has been a wonderful and fulfilling experience and I leave her there each week with a happy heart and collect her later knowing that she will be happy too.

Thank you to all who do such a good job there, you are getting it right!

The daycare centre is run by dedicated and caring staff who were always kind and pleasant to mum. My only criticism is the parent company Runwood Homes insisting on payment by monthly cheque. Wake up Runwood, our generation is used to internet banking!

My wife has attended day centre for a number of months and was reluctant to stay at first but the staff have been great and could not do enough to help her and me to get her settled and she is more settled and is eating and drinking well.

Activities are pleasant and varied. Staff seem very caring, building nice and clean and airy. Grounds are pleasant.

Meals are nice, you get a choice in case someone is vegetarian. I am so far very happy at going there and intend to continue.

My mother attends Victoria House six days a week. I think this day centre is exceptionally well run, the care my mother receives is fantastic. The manager and staff really go above and beyond the norm. The facilities are great with a lot of thought about extras provided a hairdresser and chiropodist on a regular basis. Communication with me is regular and relevant, for which I am grateful it is a great weight off my shoulders when I know my mother is at Victoria Day Centre as I know she is getting a very high level of care.

My mother visits this day centre Monday - Friday and is well looked after by the manager and her staff on a daily basis. The day centre caters for my mother's needs and she is also picked up and brought home. A very good day centre with plenty going on for the clients.

The staff at the centre are always helpful and caring. The centre has always been clean and tidy each time I have been to the care centre and to the home. The management and staff are always helpful. You couldn't wish for a better centre or home where you have Respite from your partner. I would recommend Victoria Day Centre/home as the staff look after my partner very well.

Making the decision to send a loved one into day care is a difficult step; one I am happy to say was the best for my husband. He feels safe and secure and comes home in a relaxed happy mood, although he has no idea where he's been or what he's been doing. I cannot thank the staff enough. This helped us both on this difficult journey, thank you.

My Mum who uses the day centre has Alzheimer's so cannot comment, but we as a family are very impressed with the care and attention given to her. Also, the patience of the staff towards her; their understanding of her needs which is different on each visit is reassuring. The communication from the staff and manager is excellent at all times. As a day centre, they work hard for their clients which in turn brings satisfaction to families including us.

Victoria Day Centre is a very welcoming place to all who attend. I always feel that when my father is at the day centre he is safe, well cared for. He always comes home in a joyous mood after his experience at this day centre due to the fact he is less isolated and mixing with a variety of people which he likes.
