I have been incredibly impressed by the excellent care provided at Victoria House. My mother absolutely loves going there not only because of the mental and physical stimulation, it provides but also because the staff are so incredibly kind and caring. I would especially like to mention the dedication
to the cause shown by a very special woman who's cared deeply for all her patients. She has gone above and beyond the call of duty often and I can't say enough positive things about her.

Victoria care centre was referred to us by a hospital in Watford when I developed diabetes and dementia. I attend three days a week and travel in the bus provided by the centre. They collect me approx 9.00am and deliver me back home at 4.00pm.

My wife has been attending Victoria House regularly for the pt 8 years during which time her dementia has advanced considerably. I have always found the staff and manager to be very caring and have coped excellently with her growing needs. She is at a stage now where she is unable to join in with many
activities provided but staff do all they can to stimulate and occupy her. It is a great comfort to me to know she is being well cared for on the occasion she attended the day centre.

My mother started at the day centre back in September 2015 because she was isolated in her own home. Her time at the day centre is appreciated. She moans if they are late to pick her up, which is rare. She loves going and the staff are very friendly, helpful and she sees them as her extended family.
They ensure the agenda is busy and encourage everyone to join in. Without this team my mother would have deteriorated, now she is as close to her old self as much as is mentally possible, and we see this as the perfect place for her.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Adult Day Care Centre is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.985 for Victoria House Day Centre is calculated as follows: ( (64 Excellents x 5) + (1 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 65 Ratings = 4.985

The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Victoria House Day Centre is based on 6 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.5 = 5
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Adult Day Care Centre does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
