Croft Avenue Care Home Receives Glowing CQC Feedback (July 2025)

We are delighted to share that Croft Avenue Care Home in Penrith has received highly positive feedback following its latest Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection in June 2025.

Inspectors praised our “positive person-centred culture”, highlighting that permanent staff “knew people well” and “built up a good rapport with residents, involving them and their relatives in care planning.” The report noted that “medicines were managed safely”, “people felt safe at the service”, and “care pathways, assessments and transitions were managed well.”

Residents themselves shared warm words about life at Croft Avenue, describing staff as “always caring, kind and taking things at the right pace” and “marvellous… they can’t do enough for you.”

The CQC also recognised our commitment to promoting independence, listening to staff, and maintaining “robust governance systems” that ensure high standards are met every day.
