Residents and staff at Hillcrest Care Home in Frodsham are inviting local people to join them for a day of fun, friendship and entertainment as part of Care Home Open Week.
The home, on Manley Road, will host its Open Day from 10am to 3pm on Wednesday, 17 June, welcoming families, neighbours and members of the wider community to come along and experience life at the home.
Visitors can enjoy a packed programme of activities including live music, dancing, games, raffles, a tombola, homemade cakes and refreshments, with plenty of opportunities to meet residents and staff.
Care Home Open Week is a national initiative designed to connect care homes with their local communities, showcase the vital role they play, and celebrate the people who live and work within them.
The Hillcrest team hopes the event will not only provide a memorable day for residents but also help break down misconceptions about care home life by giving people the chance to see first-hand the welcoming and vibrant environment.
Nicola Vernon, home manager at Hillcrest Care Home, said: "Care Home Open Week is a wonderful opportunity for us to open our doors and welcome the local community into our home. We are proud of the warm, caring and vibrant environment we have created for our residents, and this event gives people the chance to see that for themselves."
She added: "We have planned a fantastic day filled with music, entertainment, games and plenty of opportunities to meet our residents and team members. Whether you're considering care for a loved one, have a family member living with us, or simply want to come along and enjoy the atmosphere, everyone is welcome."
