Caterham care home invites community to step back in time

Residents and staff at Buxton Lodge Care Home are inviting local people to enjoy a nostalgic trip down memory lane as they throw open their doors for a special 1960s-themed Open Day.

The Caterham care home, on Buxton Lane, will welcome visitors from 11am to 4pm on Friday, June 19 as part of National Care Home Open Week, with an afternoon of music, food, entertainment and community spirit.

Guests can enjoy refreshments and a barbecue while meeting residents and staff, taking a look around the home and finding out more about life at Buxton Lodge. The highlight of the day will be a live performance by Sizzling 60s at 2pm, bringing the sounds, style and energy of one of Britain's most iconic decades to life.

The event is open to everyone, including local residents, families, community groups and anyone interested in finding out more about care home life.
