Our first Baking Club at Waterside Court was a wonderful success. Residents enjoyed making butterfly cupcakes from scratch with guidance from the talented Carol, while sharing happy memories of baking at school and with family. A particularly touching moment came when resident Val became emotional with pride and excitement, saying, "I feel like a real baker." Activities like Baking Club provide much more than a tasty treat. They help stimulate memories, build confidence, encourage independence, and promote meaningful social interaction. It was heartwarming to see residents reconnect with past experiences and enjoy such a strong sense of achievement. A special thank you to Carol for sharing her baking expertise, patience, and enthusiasm. We are already looking forward to our next session.
