My Brother in Law was in College Hill Care Home for around 10 and a half years. Sadly, he recently passed away after a short illness. However, I must say that the care and treatment that he received in College Hill was exemplary throughout his time there. My wife and I used to visit him very regularly and we never had any cause to question his care. He was always smiling and well kept and the staff and management there were, in our opinion, first class. Recently, my wife became ill with dementia and I myself was forced to seek care for her. I placed in into 2 very highly rated (according to online reviews) nursing homes in turn. Both proved to be absolutely useless and provided nowhere near the level of care that my wife requires and so I was forced to remove her from each in turn. This only brought home to me how well cared for James had been over the years and, if I could have obtained that level of care for my wife, then I would have been absolutely delighted.

One of my relatives has been at this wonderful Care Home for almost a year. We are incredibly grateful knowing our relative is in such professional hands. The staff genuinely care about the residents and treat them like family. Their kindness and compassion to help have made a massive impact on our peace of mind. We feel incredibly fortunate to have found this Care Home.

The manager and all the staff at College Hill Care Home are fantastic and take great care of my mother. It's really reassuring knowing that she is well looked after and my family and I are very grateful for their professionalism and hard work.

College Hill Care Home is a professionally run and excellent caring environment. My relative has complex physical and mental needs and we're very happy to have found a place that caters and cares so well to such an impressive standard. Would highly recommend. A huge thanks to the manager and all the lovely staff.

My mother stayed at Honister for just over a year and a half. I have nothing but praise for the staff and manager there. It was so reassuring to know she was in such good hands. I live a fair distance from the home so being kept informed by phone was excellent.

My brother-in-law has been in Honister for about eighteen months. When I have visited he always seemed happy the staff were always friendly and polite the manager would always keep me informed of what was going on. Unfortunately due to the fact that my relative's health has declined and he now needs nursing care we have to find a more suitable place for him. Thank you to all the staff at Honister for their care.

I had a dear friend in Honister for a short time recently. The circumstances for his family were particularly difficult and I was very grateful for the care and understanding shown by the Honister staff. In particular, I'd like to thank the manager, who was always prepared to take time to discuss the situation and was clearly trying to do his very best for my friend.

My mum suffers with advanced dementia, she has just spent 3 weeks in respite and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the care she received, the staff are lovely and the care home itself is very clean, I had mixed feelings of leaving my mum in respite, but the minute I walked in I felt at ease and both Mum and I were welcomed with open arms, the staff were happy and well presented, I was given regular updates on things Mum was doing via email which was a lovely idea and when I went to collect her noticed she had put a little weight on and had such rosy cheeks, she looked so well and happy. It’s just a shame I’ve had to bring her closer to me otherwise I would have loved her to be a permanent resident. What a lovely place. She even made some friends during her short stay. Thank you to everyone for caring for my mum.

My uncle has been living at Honister for many years and has always seemed happy and well cared for. The staff seem to be friendly and caring. The environment is nice and my uncle particularly enjoys the activities.

My auntie wished to stay at Honister due to their care and compassion. I personally couldn’t thank them enough for all their support for my aunt and us as a family from the manager and his amazing staff.

This home has been great for my nan, and they have been great in helping her rehab her hip to the point she is now walking and doing stairs with confidence. All the staff treat her with the utmost care and dignity. The staff always keep me informed about my nan's care and health. Whenever I visit the home, I get a warm welcome and it really feels like a home. It is always spotless and always nicely decorated for various occasions, like Christmas or a birthday. The home made my nan's 90th so very special. The home always strives to keep its residents entertained, organising various activities and outings, including a trip to the panto. My nan is very happy here and will be sad to leave when her house is fully ready for her.

My brother resides at College Hill and is very happy there. He has been in care most of his adult life due to mental health issues and he has never seemed happier in any of the previous places that he has stayed so we are very satisfied with the care he is receiving there.

I have been visiting my close friend at this care home for 10 years and have always been impressed with the care provided by the management and staff. Very friendly atmosphere and the premises are extremely clean and well kept. If I was having to go into a care home, this is the one I would choose and I know my relatives would feel secure in the knowledge that I am being cared for in a lovely home.

I would not hesitate having any family member of mine in this care home with the manager and her team, they are all amazing and do amazing work to a very high standard.

Visiting a member of my faith who has dementia and has been well looked after and cared for by excellent loving staff. She is always in good spirits and happy with the care that she receives and good food. The manager is doing an excellent job and is very helpful and pleasant person to converse with.
