I think it's a good place, quiet and clean. The staff is very polite and attentive. My grandmother in particular, seemed pretty well. That means she receives good care.

My mother (age 97), who has been a resident at Homelands for several years, continues to receive excellent care and support. The staff are attentive to resident's needs and the nursing team is very experienced. Where needed doctor visits are promptly arranged with the local surgery. In my mother's case
a recent urinary tract infection was quickly diagnosed and treated.
Group and individual activities are provided. Also, regular religious visits, entertainment, musical exercise/movement, hairdressing and chiropody are provided. Food is good, including menu choices. Relatives/visitors are welcome with very little restrictions.
Personally, based upon the care my mother has previously and continues to receive, I would have no reservations in recommending Homelands Nursing Home.

My 91-year-old stepfather has been bed-bound since December 2024 and the staff have been so thoughtful and kind in making him as comfortable and as happy as possible.
He enjoys chatting to them and wouldn't want to be anywhere else. I've noticed there is a gentle understanding between the carers and
the patients, and I've witnessed how quickly they respond to everyone's needs; their experience shows in every way. I am truly grateful to them all.

My father is currently a resident at Morven house. I chose Morven as previously my mother was a resident there. The staff and management are what makes this care home special I feel.
They have got to know my father and his likes and dislikes really quickly and are always super kind to him. The staff
get to know the relations of the residents also and always have time to discuss anything that's on your mind, which is really helpful if you're worried about your relative. Whenever I visit there's always a good atmosphere and there's also lots of genuine kindness and compassion for all the residents.


Some residents can be very awkward but I have only ever seen residents looked after incredibly well and with great patience and understanding. I have no hesitation in recommending this care home.
There are some lovely rooms here and staff are willing to help you make your relatives room feel homely and personal.

The care that is given to my mum is excellent. The staff are amazing, compassionate and very attentive to my mum's needs. I always feel very welcomed when I visit and the staff and management are always available to have discussions regarding my mum's needs. I cannot find any negatives about this residential
care home.

Acorn House has exceeded all my hopes and expectations of my mother's care. All of the staff are so kind, attentive, cheerful, helpful and show unique relationships with each resident. They have taken time and care to understand Mum's religious celebrations and the kitchen staff are happy to learn new
recipes to cater for Mum's limited diet. The management listen carefully to any of our family concerns and have prompt problem-solving attitude. My mum doesn't want to leave to live anywhere else. They are her family.

I visit my uncle once a week at random times. I usually phone the home to let them know I'm coming, sometimes it might only be 30 minutes notice, but my uncle is always well turned out and ready to go out. The staff treat my uncle with a lot of respect and dignity. They are very kind and patient with
him. They always make me welcome too. Thank you.
(This is all a new experience for me and the staff at Avon Lodge have made me feel confident that my uncle is in the right place).

Acorn Lodge has taken care of my mother's wellbeing since 2021. I am very happy with the care she is receiving. All the staff are very polite, nice and very capable of taking care of her.

My dad has been a resident here since 30th January 2025. I noticed on my last visit that he is happy there. He is still singing and happy go lucky. Dad's complex condition is healthier. The staff members are always cheerful and caring. Dad's leg sores are getting better. I would like to say a big thank

Acorn Lodge. Looks after and cares for my cousin, so well, The carers are so caring and always have the time to discuss anything that needs to be discussed whether it's health, or well being.
The home itself is kept clean at all times, maybe Just need to be a re-paint in the rooms, I do appreciate
this is difficult as residents are living in.
