My dad Tony Hirst stayed with you from March 2025 to October 2025. He was very happy living with you. He had alzheimers and dementia. All the carers I met were absolutely lovely, always sp kind to my dad even when he could be very challenging. Food always smelt nice and dad enjoyed it. Dad always looked
clean and well presented when we visited. Care home was clean and tidy. Catherine the manager was extremely nice and always kept us upto date with dad welfare. Dad only left as he had to return to hosp and then needed a nursing home so could no longer stay at Acorn. I would highly recommend

Very good. Comparing with my aunt's care home in 2019, I feel that these staff care for both the residents and the residents and visitors.
The staff use my name to ask me how I am and offer us a hot drink.
The residents seem very happy, relaxed and well cared for. I would put my relatives there.

My aunt was well cared for by Homelands. It had a friendly welcoming atmosphere. We enjoyed joining Auntie for the activities and the church servce which she really appreciated.
Food was good and choices made by residents when able. We attended many parites with entertainmnet which was very popular
with residnets and their families.

The manager & management team were always approachable and totally professional. The entire care team were kind, caring and skilled in managing my aunt's difficult moments.


It truly felt like home away from home for my aunt from the very start. She felt welcomed and safe.


Her individual needs,

promoting independence while providing necessary support was paramount.


Regular, transparent communication between staff and family ensured that we were all involved in the decision making process.

My Darling 93-year-old Dad lived in Morven House for just over a year, sadly he passed away a few weeks ago. Mum and I cannot emphasise enough what a wonderful home this is; Dad was treated with respect, care and loved by all the staff. Even though Dad had Alzheimer's he always seemed relaxed and content.
We were and still are, always made to feel welcome. When the time did come for Dad to pass, Mum and I were given our own private space in his room so that we could be with him alone for a few hours. The staff then washed him and put him in his finest clothes. Thankyou so much, everyone at Morven House.

Graham only uses other peoples clothes, why?
I have you a pair of trousers, I have only seen them once.

Initially, due to a change in his size, some clothing provided through charitable donations within the home was used temporarily to ensure his comfort and dignity. Once suitable clothing in the correct size was provided by the family, this was discontinued, and he has been wearing his own clothes.
We will continue to monitor and review this to ensure his clothing is clearly organised and managed appropriately at all times. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and value your feedback.

Since Richard arrived here in the middle of June 2025 he has been well cared for the staff have been very kind and caring and take good care of him. He is relaxed and happy and gets on well with all the residents. Richard seems to enjoy the activities and loves all the parties.

Always receive a lovely welcome when I come to see my grandmother. My grandmother is always clean and tidy. The staff are wonderful, and nan's bedroom is always kept clean and tidy. Cannot fault nothing about the care that my grandmother receives.

The care provided for my Mum by the whole team at Morvern House has been outstanding. There is a happy, relaxed atmosphere which is created by the professionalism and dedication of the staff. It's reassuring to know that Mum is safe and happy.

The main staff are very good with the patients. They engage with them and regularly check on them to make sure they are okay. It is a very challenging environment to work in but I feel they do their best.

Sadly our Mum recently passed away after 10 years at Homelands. She received excellent care throughout her stay. The nurses, carers and other staff were always friendly and welcoming making Mum and her visitors feel at home. Mum very much enjoyed the variety of activities especially Linley on a Thursday.
Mum received professional and personalised care. My brother and I can't thank enough, all at Homelands, for the way they looked after Mum.
