My Mum has been in Oakdale for almost 2 years and our family are very happy with the way she has been looked after in there.
My Dad has also now become a resident here too, which is confirmation of our satisfaction of this Carehome.
When we visit we are treated as family or old friends by all of the
staff, they are very respectful.
Reply from Melanie Tucknott, Registered Manager at Oakdale Care HomeThank you so much for your lovely words, its a pleasure to look after both Mum and Dad, you are an amazingly supportive family.

It was a very difficult decision putting my mum into care, I had looked after her since Lockdown and could no longer cope as her altzeimers got increasingly worse. With the help of my family we found Oakdale and have been relieved and pleased that she has settled in well and is being well cared for
by all the staff. Many thanks to all the team for their professionalism, dedication and wonderful work they all do.

My father has been staying at this care home for some time now, and as a family, we couldn't be more grateful for the care he receives. From the very beginning, the staff have been kind, compassionate, and incredibly attentive.
Every member of the team treats my father with dignity and respect. They
take the time to get to know him as a person - his preferences, his routines, It's clear that they genuinely care, and that means everything to us.
The communication with our family has also been excellent. We're always kept informed, and any questions or concerns are handled quickly and professionally. It gives us real peace of mind knowing he is in such capable and caring hands.
The home itself is warm, welcoming, and always clean, creating a comfortable and safe environment. Most importantly, my father feels happy and secure there - and that speaks volumes.
Thank you to the entire team for the wonderful work you do every day.

My dad has lived at Oakdale for six years now and I am so pleased he is there. From the moment I first visited and spoke with Melanie I knew dad would be well cared for and happy. The staff are amazing and work very hard, nothing seems to be too much trouble. His care and medical needs have increased
over the years but this has not been a problem for Oakdale. The food is good and there's plenty of it, his room is clean and tidy and dad is always well dressed.
The best part of Oakdale is that it's a real family. The residents are happy, visitors always welcome and management very helpful and knowledgeable. Oakdale has not only looked after my dad but have helped me through tough times with dad.

We moved Mum here a year ago from another home she had been in for 3 years. We searched and visited many back in 2022 but somehow Oakdale slipped through the net or she would have been here 4 years ago. We cant fault it one jot and would highly recommend it.

I've always found the staff and managers at Oakdale to be caring, professional and open to discussing mum's care.
They work hard to tailor their care to what my mum wanted and to accommodate her medical needs.
All of mum's visitors are always welcomed warmly by the team. I am confident my mum is well
cared for and Oakdale seems a happy place

I can't express the highest of care for my husband over a year and a half. The nurses, the care staff and management were second to none in every possible way. They were caring and made our visits easy . We can't praise them enough. My husband thought of everyone as family , which made it easier for
us. Well done Acacia for making my husband dementia journey easier to manage too.

When my partners mother entered Creedy House in March I was very sceptical RE care homes, but I find it a lovely experience visiting on a regular basis. Everybody from senior management down to carers, cooks, cleaners etc are so well trained, compassionate and look after their service users in an impeccable
way. Also the input into activities for the clients is second to none. Well done to all at Creedy House.

Earlier this year, my brother, sister and I arranged respite care at Oakdale for our mum, Sally. Mum was there for eight weeks and was looked after very well. The food was plentiful and there were indoor and outdoor activities for the residents. The staff are lovely (and some have been there for
years, which speaks volumes). Oakdale has a very 'family' feel to it and we were always made to feel very welcome when visiting. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Oakdale to others.

Acacia House has welcomed my mum, who has a range of needs related to dementia and frailty, and given her a happy and safe place to be. There are so many staff who are always welcoming and supportive to my mum and to myself. The home has lovely rooms and space for visiting or spending time. The nurses
are always available to talk to for support and information. My mum has already made some good friends and is being cared for incredibly well.

My dad was in Creedy House for about 7 weeks before he passed. The manageress, Nesta, and all her staff supported dad with dignity, respect and empathy for the entire time he was there, the care was excellent. There was plenty of social stimulation for him in the lounge when he was able to be with others,
and the music and singing were especially appreciated as dad loved music and dancing. The staff did their utmost to support dad with his eating and general care, and provided excellent empathic nursing care throughout. Nesta is lovely, and was a huge support for me while dad was at the Creedy, and along with all her staff made me, my mum and family feel supported and welcome whenever we visited dad. A lovely care home and highly recommended!
