Woodbury House has cared for my husband for 14 months. As his dementia has worsened and his behaviour has become more challenging, they have continued to treat him with respect and to demonstrate evident care for him, despite the very obvious difficulties they have faced. Under the manager's leadership
the staff are positive and keen to help. They have proved very supportive not just to my husband but also to my son and to me, treating us with sensitivity when his behaviour has been at its worst. This Home is highly recommended.

My grandmother's needs are looked after very well by the lovely care and domestic staff at Woodbury House. The Deputy Manager overseeing the clinical care is helpful and knowledgeable on the individual needs of the residents which I find very comforting. Due to various factors and location, I'm sometimes
not able to visit as often as I'd like, but feel confident that those looking after her are dedicated and compassionate. Communication around my grandmother's care needs is of a high standard and this is reassuring, particularly when I cannot be there in person.
Reply from Andrea Vinten, Head of Communications at Woodbury House Care Centre

We have been part of Woodbury House for over 3 years and Woodbury House has cared for 3 of our Elderly Family Members who have all had a variety of Health Needs. We have found Woodbury has treated all 3 with Kindness and Respect. Woodbury House has a homely feel and Everyone from the Management Team
to the Care, Kitchen, Maintenance and Domestic Team have always been friendly.
We have always been informed of any changes, GP visits and any in general to Care and Treatment.

Activities always took place on a regular basis and there was always a variety of food on offer.

Since arriving in February Mum is so much happier as she no longer has to worry about being able to look after herself which was becoming increasingly difficult.
She, as we are really appreciative of the way she is looked after and cared for.
Mum has never been very outgoing and finds it difficult
to mix but she is enjoying the company of the staff and residents once she has got to know them, something she was missing living on her own.

I came here a mess! I've been here for a year now and I am coming to terms with it. I recently got a power chair which has given me a lot more freedom. The staff are fair and understanding. I tend to be erratic sometimes and they are understanding. My son and daughter say I am safe here. I would still
like a bit more independence but guess it's not to be.

My wife and I were both born in 1930 and married in 1954. In early 2019 we came to Murdoch House for an interview and afterwards, my wife said to me "I could live here" which was good enough for me. We came here March 2019, selling our house, and unfortunately, my wife passed away 29th of May 2023.
The manager and staff have been very kind, understanding and supportive in the last horrible year for which I thank them very much.

My mother resides at Murdoch House. It's a very clean and happy home. Staff are very polite and take time with my mother, she can be challenging at times. They always treat her calmly and kindly. The food is lovely, I often see the lunches being put out and they look delicious. My mother loves the food.
There are afternoon games, morning quizzes etc. Plus they take time to take her for a walk, she loves that. Her medicines are delivered to her throughout the day on time. The doctor calls for any health issues on a weekly basis, they have sometimes called the doctor in and they will always see her. The manager is always on hand, very kind and helpful. I would recommend this home to anyone.

After a couple of hospital stays we decided our mother would be safer in a home. The staff at Murdoch House made it possible for her to move in very quickly and everyone has been so caring and friendly. Mum misses her home but she is so happy in Murdoch House, it has made life easier for the whole family.

Initial contact with manager was very encouraging. We were welcomed and shown around the care home and facilities on offer. A follow-up visit arranged and all answers given to our satisfaction. The meal menu is very good, healthy food and good portion sizes served. Mum has settled well and is making
use of the facilities on offer. She is well looked after by the care workers and Mum feels much better now.

Woodbury House has exceptional care for all residents. The staff are very friendly and caring. Any concerns are dealt with immediately. The level of meeting the resident's needs are always met. The staff work very hard. The home has also got activities which my mother has enjoyed and enjoys doing. There
are church services in the home now and then which she can attend. The food is of a good standard. The whole atmosphere at Woodbury is very homely and it has been kept at a high standard.

My mum has settled in really well and is being looked after with great care and consideration. She's not been here for very long, but it's a great relief for her family that we don't need to worry about her welfare.
Staff and manager are extremely kind and ready to help anytime.

The staff at Woodbury House looked after my mother very well. They are a wonderful staff, always professional with a caring approach. They understand my mother's needs very well. I had great confidence in their skill. Any questions I had were addressed sensitively and fully. I especially thank one member
of staff, in particular, who was a huge support to my mother, a wonderful professional. I have only praise for the way in which the staff managed my mother's final days. They treated her with great gentleness and did everything to make her last days as comfortable as possible. They also supported us, her close family very well too.
