The care for my elderly mum was first class, right from the first assessment to sad recent passing. My mother welfare, care and happiness was always their first concern. The staff are extremely kind and efficient; a pleasure to go and spend time with mum in their last days.

Communication between different members of staff could be improved. It depends who is on duty. The idea of walkie talkies is very noisy and upsets my family member. Could they be used more sensitively with thoughtfulness shows how they affect the elderly. But she also accepts that because of the geographical
nature of the building, walkie talkies need to be used. Could there be better training in more sensitive use of them please?

An excellent carehome.
Everyone is so kind, caring and smiley! This is a very happy environment. My mother has been very content here and, through too many health hiccups, extremely well cared for. I always feel she is safe. Communication with relatives is regular and clear.
All staff work so
hard, cheerfully and efficiently. I couldn't ask for more for my mother.

I have been visiting my friend on a regular basis after she moved into Rockdale, the home is fabulous and she is very happy, moving from your own home is a hard transition and the team have made this a smooth and enjoyable process for her I highly recommend this home.

We can't thank the team at Rockdale enough for the incredible care and kindness they showed my aunt during her recent stay. From the moment she arrived, the staff made her feel welcome, supported, and genuinely cared for.
After her respite stay, she returned home looking and feeling like a completely
new person - truly 10 years younger! It's a testament to the exceptional environment, the attention to detail, and the warmth of everyone who works there.
The staff went above and beyond every single day, not just meeting her needs but making her feel part of a real community. The quality of care, the uplifting atmosphere, and the genuine compassion shown have made such a positive impact on her wellbeing.
We are incredibly grateful to Rockdale for giving her the time, care, and encouragement she needed. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for outstanding respite care.

My family and I thought the loving care given to my husband was excellent. The staff were all kind, loving and efficient not only to my husband, but to all the visiting family. Nothing was too much trouble. Care staff, cleaners, laundry people and management all deserve our grateful thanks.

I came to visit my sister and I am very happy with the support she is receiving from all. The staff helped when I went to leave I found I had lost my purse, and without the help of the senior support worker, I would not have coped with the phone call to cancel my phone card as I am very deaf.

you to two members of staff in particular who went beyond their duty and helped me no end.

I visited my friend today about ten days after his admission to Rockdale House. I arrived unannounced and the reception were friendly and helpful. I was shown to my friend's room and I was impressed with the atmosphere and environment of the home. My friend said he was well settled in his new home.
He praised the home's catering and the care given to him by the staff. I left the home feeling reassured that my friend is in good hands!

My relation has been a resident in Rockdale House for nearly two years. The care is excellent and nothing seems too much trouble. Recently she fell and broke her elbow so she has required more personal care which has been provided by all the members of staff so willingly.

Following a sudden but very debilitating illness, we moved my frail elderly aunt into Rockdale House, initially for respite care but became a permanent stay. The staff could not have been kinder or more caring towards her, they were so attentive, monitoring and encourging her to become well. Sadly this
was not to be and their support became end-of-life care. Throughout the staff were wonderful, not just to my aunt, but to myself and my family too. We couldn't have wished for a better place for her to be.

Rockdale House is a warm and friendly place. My dad has been there for nearly two and a half years and is very happy. He is benefitting from the varied, freshly cooked meals and numerous cakes, biscuits and cups of tea, coffee etc. throughout each day. He is kept busy with exercises, activities, entertainment
and outings offered. His room is spacious, clean and comfortable and the decor, generally, is fresh and homely. Staff are kind, friendly and supportive.

Rockdale House Care Home is a very caring and well-managed cared home. Everywhere is kept very clean. Staff are dedicated and welcoming and friendly always.
The weekly quiz was a favourite for Mum, as were the poetry and music events.
There are many activities, including a gardening club.
The terrace
on level one was a lovely place for visits. Many happy times there. Many thanks to all at Rockdale.

Mum is 101. She found the concept of a care home difficult. She could no longer manage in her bungalow and had been to hospital after a fall. She took persuading but even after two months of visits (I live over 200 miles away) her face has filled out, her hair is managed and well cared for, her legs
are being looked after and her mind is mostly occupied with what's going on. She part of the community. Well done!

The staff are warm and friendly. They let me know when mum needs anything or has taken a tumble. The senior nursing staff always discuss health care issues promptly and don't mind if I bring something to their attention. Everyone is so kind even the reception and administrative staff. Mum says she feels
safe and secure. Thank you for all those 'cups of tea' that you bring her.
