On the positive side, the staff are very pleasant although they seemed stretched when dealing with the majority of residents with moderate to advanced dementia.
The home advertises that all rooms are en suite and they are not. The toilet near my Mum's room was very narrow (zimmer frame unfriendly)
and cold and unwelcoming.
Her room was awful. Scuffed walls, curtains half hanging off, no home comforts such as chair, radio, tv, hospital bed but locked in the flat position. The bedding was awful. It was clearly very cheap bedding that had beef washed 100s of times. It had not seen an iron and looked grey. The pillows were full of lumps. There was nothing homely about the bedroom or the living area.
I've raised 3 safeguarding issues with them.
Think very carefully about sending someone you know there. Make sure you inspect it first.

They are a lovely home, the staff went well beyond looking after my dad. They made him comfortable till the end even with the abuse he gave them they still cared for him. I'm glad his final weeks were spent in their care. The staff are so lovely.
