Care Homes Owned by MacLeod Pinsent Care Homes Ltd in East Sussex

Our relative has lived here over 20yrs. Family has visited every single week. We've seen a huge decline in transparency since the current owners arrived.
Since 21 Jan '26 we've exchanged 106 emails. We raised communication concerns 31 times. We asked to speak/meet with owners/directors 8 times. They repeatedly refused. The nominated individual stated in writing we are not permitted to speak with carers on duty giving direct care to our loved one.
We expressed serious concerns about the registered manager in a formal complaint. The formal reply didn't even mention her name; our concerns were minimised/ignored.
I spent 8 hrs reviewing the care plan with the assistant manager. Numerous factual inaccuracies + omissions by registered manager. The assistant manager acknowledged our concerns were justified. It used to be a happy home with family meetings. Now family are actively prevented from telling the truth about the internal workings there.
