My mother has received only high quality care with regular check ins with the family, looking after the regime of medicines, eye tests etc and also dealing with all the occasional exceptional stuff - my mum has had two falls over the two years she has been at Avenue House both of which were managed
highly professionally. The building, facilities and gardens are all good. Residents have regular entertainments and a varied menu. Avenue House is also exceptionally affordable. Its also great that the place has a Quaker ethos - my mother is a Quaker and the Sunday Meeting for Worship is an important part of her week.

Mum moved here in February this year after an unsuccessful stay in sheltered accommodation where she had been very lonely. Immediately she felt welcomed and at home here, and has been very happy the whole time. She has a lovely room, she enjoys her food and has found a good balance of community and
personal space. The staff couldn't be more caring and have always treated her with kindness and respect. They also monitor any health needs well and respond quickly to them. It is a great relief to me to know that she is so happy and well cared for.

Avenue House is a great care home with caring, respectful and kind staff. My mother has been a resident for nearly 4 years and the staff have been responsive to her changing needs over this time as she has become more frail and has more difficulty understanding the world.
There has been fantastic continuity
in the staff at the home along with a strong caring ethos.

My mother has settled in extremely well. The staff are caring, respectful and responsive to her and me. There is a nice atmosphere in the home even though some of the residents can occasionally demonstrate challenging behaviour. Mum is pleased she has moved into this care home

My mother is the oldest resident at Avenue House and has lived there for over 12 years. This gives her, and us as her family, a long view of the excellent continuing care offered by all the staff and management.
They have helped her through the changing years with skill and commitment and she is still
very much part of the community, participating in activities and enjoying visits from family and friends who are always made very welcome. As a relative, I work with the staff to support my mother, and they are open to suggestions that might help. A good partnership.

I find all the staff from management down very help and friendly. My farther enjoys living there and can enjoy activities with others or find quite time on his own in the lovely new conservatory, his room or one of the large lounges with great views of the garden.
He likes his food and is always looking
forward to meal times as the food is so good.
I would highly recommend Avenue house.

Mum has made friends at Avenue House - both of the residents and carers. Carriers are genuinely pleased to see mum and care for her. The new Conservatory space has enabled more quiet spaces 2 gather and chat especially for relatives visiting residents. Residents are caring towards each other to.

Avenue House is a wonderful and caring home. My mother has been a resident for just over a year and during this time we have experienced a big improvement to her mental health. The staff are marvellous and the daily activity list on offer is varied and fun. My Mum loves living at Avenue House and as
a family member, it is so reassuring that she gets excellent care and attention. The management are friendly and approachable and I would highly recommend Avenue House to anyone looking for a safe and welcoming residential home for a loved one.

Excellent care home. My Father is very happy living at the home. His needs are always looked after with great care. The staff are always very friendly and extremely helpful on all matters. The care and management of resident's needs are carefully considered and very well supported.
Highly recommend
this care home.
The new conservatory area has added great value to the home, providing a very comfortable and aesthetically pleasing area for residents to sit and enjoy. It has opened up the garden area from the outside, allowing residents to enjoy the garden when sitting inside.
Thank you.

My mother initially booked in for a week's respite care and after a few days of enjoying her experience, elected to stay permanently.
It’s clear that she feels listened to and has her needs catered for. The staff are so friendly and always have time for a chat, which she appreciates. When we visit,
we feel welcomed into the warm and friendly atmosphere too.
The home’s Quaker ethos seems to present itself particularly through the attention given to providing both residents and relatives with opportunities to give feedback to trustees. Also, the weekly meeting including members from local meetings provides a lovely way for Mum to keep in touch with her local community.
Mum’s move into Avenue House was both a surprise and a relief and we feel so grateful knowing that she has such a good quality of life for her final years.
