Dad has lived in Cornerways for three years and I continue to be very happy with his care. The staff have gone to great lengths to care for him as his health has changed over time. The staff look at each residents' individual needs and interests. I would recommend Cornerways to anyone.

Review of Plymbridge House from Clare M (Daughter of Resident) published on 13 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My lovely mum, who is now 87, has been a resident at Plymbridge House for just over a year. Following the loss of most of her sight, regular falls, and dementia, she reached a stage where she needed a level of care that as a family, we could not provide. From the moment she arrived, the staff have been incredibly caring, patient, and compassionate. Every time I visit, I can see that Mum is well looked after.
The home offers a wide variety of daily activities, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to take part. There is a genuine family atmosphere throughout the home, which is very reassuring for both residents and their loved ones.

Knowing that Mum is safe, cared for, and supported gives me and my brothers real peace of mind. We are extremely grateful to the wonderful team at Plymbridge House for the exceptional care they provide at this stage of her life.

Review of Plymbridge House from Peter F (Son of Resident) published on 16 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
Well, where can I start....what a positive experience, lovely caring staff, a safe and homely environment, the list goes on.
Mum has spent the last three months at Plymbridge on a respite plan, following a traumatic time with the loss of her husband followed by a trip to the hospital, so was well in need of time to rebuild her confidence and strength.
From my first phone contact with the staff at Plymbridge through our initial visit and planning for Mum's stay everyone has been kind, friendly and professional ensuring a potentially difficult situation was made easy for Mum and our family.
Through visits to see Mum we could clearly see that the care continued each and every day with activities and a general 'vibe' of kindness and understanding for the residents present at all times.

A big thank you to everyone at Plymbridge House for helping us through a tricky time, I would have no hesitation in recommending your services.

Reply from Louise Arnold, Managing Director at Plymbridge House

Thank you so much for your positive review of Plymbridge House. We wish you and your mum all the best and of course would welcome you back should you ever need more support.

Review of Bramble Down Nursing Home from Danielle M (Daughter of Resident) published on 4 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
I honestly cannot thank the team at Bramble Down Nursing Home enough for the care, dignity and compassion they showed my mum in her final days.
From the moment she arrived, she was treated with kindness, patience and genuine warmth - not just as a resident, but as a person who mattered. The staff always made us feel welcome and supported during one of the hardest times of our lives.
In her final moments, they ensured she was comfortable, peaceful and surrounded with dignity and respect. As her daughter, that means more to me than words could ever explain.
I'd also really like to show some extra love and appreciation for Steph, the night nurse, who was always there whenever we needed support, reassurance or simply someone to talk to during the long difficult nights. Her kindness and calmness meant so much to us.

Every single member of staff we met showed compassion, understanding and humanity. The atmosphere never felt cold or clinical - it felt caring, calm and safe.

Review of Plymbridge House from Sarah C (Daughter of Resident) published on 11 May 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
Our lovely mum has been a resident in Plymbridge House Care Home for about 8 months now and has settled well. It was a very difficult decision to make, relinquishing our caring role but a necessary one.
The home is a happy place and the staff wonderful, caring and compassionate. It is very busy at times but the staff are available and communication is excellent.
We leave after a visit, feeling content that mum is looked after well and her care needs are met.
There is so much to say about Plymbridge House, but the little things such as a chat, readily available tea, coffee, cake, treats for residents (sometimes for the visitor), mum's little dog Meg able to visit and of course the inclusive activities lovely Geri provides all make it a special place.

This has helped our mum to settle surprisingly quicker than we thought and ourselves to feel part of the 'bigger' family and a home.

Review of Bramble Down Nursing Home from J S (Daughter-in-law of Resident) published on 5 May 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My mother-in-law spent 16 months at Brambledown, before she sadly passed away in March. This place is a wonderful, peaceful home, filled with warmth, a welcoming atmosphere and joy. We cannot thank all the staff enough for their care of my mother-in-law. Brambledown is very special. The staff are wonderful. The time, patience, consideration and sheer hard work, they all collectively put in to the care given, is second to none.
During our family members time there, we
attended a mothers day gathering, Christmas parties, the summer fête, and a wonderful ball. The staff put so much
effort in to creating special times and
activities, to enhance the days of all their
residents. We were so impressed with
Brambledown and grateful for the
wonderful care and time, given to my

mother-in-law. So many of the staff bring their own kind of magic to this place every day. Our family member was very happy there and became very much part of the family and community, that Brambledown is.

Review of Parkland House from J S (Daughter of Resident) published on 1 May 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

When Mum arrived at Parklands in Dec 24 she was wheelchair bound and had made the huge decision to move into care and sell her home of 57 years. Mum has settled in wonderfully with the help of some wonderful and caring staff who understand her needs which are mostly physical. They have encouraged Mum to walk again and now with help she can walk short distances on her frame. The main reason we and Mum like Parklands is the variety of activities and spaciousness of the Lounge and dinning areas. The activities staff have been so creative and there is always something for Mum to join in. There are also outings on occasions. The garden is lovely. The only less favourable comment I would make is that several key members of the care and activity team have left recently. However many members of the care and activity team are exceptionally experienced, dedicated, and kind.

Reply from Felicity Shaw, Business Support Manager at Parkland House

Review of Parkland House from Tony S (Son of Resident) published on 24 April 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My mother has been at Parkland House for 3.5 years and gradually integrated into the environment. She seems happy & jokes around with the staff who treat her with dignity and respect. The care is of the highest quality. Parkland often arrange a variety of entertainment for the residents to keep things interactive. The residents are given regular food and drinks and the staff are very friendly whenever I visit the home.

Review of Parkland House from A S (Daughter of Resident) published on 22 April 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Mum became a resident 8 months ago, in an anxious state, having become overwhelmed with living alone and trying to run her house. Her confidence was low and she was angry and frustrated.

The staff at Parkland house scooped her into their arms and welcomed her into their family. They were patient, and listened to Mums and our wishes, putting into place simple things that helped her adjust, like only having a female carer at night time.

She took a few months to settle, during which she learnt everyone's names and got used to her room and the home practices. She turned a significant corner in her adjustment to her independence after about 4 months, which was great to see.

This was all ably supported by the staff, who have, and continue to take great care of her. They provide such an enormous sense of relief to my Sister and I, regularly keeping us informed and checking in, even though they are very busy!
