I am so so grateful to the wonderful team at The Lawns. My husband lived with them for the last 12 months of his life. He had Parkinsons and Dementia. They made it his 'home' from the very start, getting to know him, finding out his likes and his dislikes in terms of food, activities, hobbies, passions in life etc. They took a very personal interest in him and always went out of their way to go above and beyond to make him happy and feel secure. Staff members treated him as part of the family and they treated our family the same too. They became my friends too and it was always a pleasure to visit. As his condition deteriorated and he became more challenging, their professionalism, kindness and compassion towards him was amazing. Sam, Lucie and the wonderful team gave him the best care ever. A number of medical practitioners I dealt with over the last few months told me that they regularly heard great things about the Lawns and I was lucky he was there. I highly recommend the Lawns.

The management were supportive, helpful and understanding when I needed help or information about her needs and her end of life care.

I cannot praise the staff highly enough for the care and compassion shown to my husband who was under their care for two years until his passing in January of this year.
Having Dementia made him suffer from anxiety and at times he could be a little aggressive, however their professionalism and experience supported him to feel safe and cared for. The staff took the time to really get to know him and his needs and thus were able to meet them.
It was one of the hardest things having to admit that I could not longer care for my husband at home and at first, if I am honest, it did feel difficult watching others care for the man I loved so much. However, I learnt that their professionalism, experience and abundance of compassion was what he needed.
The staff were also very kind to myself and my sons as the illness progressed and were very supportive of the next stages that we witnessed as the illness progressed.
I would have not hesitation in recommending The Lawns,
Sam
An experience I never want to value again the home it's self was fitting but the care was disrespectful in my grandads last few weeks I wouldn't rate this home I think another inspection is needed there was a forum of neglect how they treated my grandad the care side just wasn't there and the respect. Plus side there are some lovely care workers there got to say my grandad had a lovely room to have his final moments in the food was also acceptable he was a resident for over a year.
The care and support provided at the manor is excellent both to the residents and the relatives with welcoming and helpful service support. The Manor not only provides excellent personal and nursing care, it also provides the opportunities for social interaction via different organised activities for the residents. Very hard working and conscientious staff. Thank you.
I find the manor a great and save place for residents from what I have seen all the staff are very patient and understanding of the residents and there different needs the staff always seem happy and talk to visitors and residents with respect the manor itself is always clean as so are the rooms can't fault it at all would recommend it to everyone.
After being given the news that my sister (who has learing differculties) needs end of life care,i feel very lucky that my sister was given the chance to come here at the manor for her end of life care. The staff are very caring, supportive not just to my sister but us as a family. i can't fault anything the food is great, she is always well dressed and was made to feel part of the family by the other residents as well as all the staff. We have no concerns she is treated with respect as are we and we can come and go anytime we wish no restrictions.
Overall this makes my twice weekly visits a pleasure, and very much enjoy my interaction with all of the staff.
Shannon
