This care home has loads of members of staff so it's always a relaxed atmosphere which is pleasing.

When we go to visit our mother it's just like visiting our mother's house before she had dementia. Her physical health is fantastic. We are glad that our mother is being looked after at the place.

that life seems a little shallow to the staff. There were 2 carers that were very informative. But the rest, I would recommend they need further training in medication and cleanliness. I am sorry for this complaint but feel there could be much improvement.

The home is kept spotless and all of the staff are very friendly and have been exceptionally helpful and caring towards Dad since he arrived. We are very pleased that we chose Cherry Lodge and would have no hesitation in recommending this home to anyone else.

Covid has hit all parts of our lives over the last two years but care homes and the NHS has had the main pressure. The staff have worked so hard here and, with so many problems going on around them, have done an amazing job. We would like to thank them all for the wonderful care they gave and the help they gave us with visiting and communication and information. A special thanks to the deputy manager and senior care assistant who went over and above the call of duty.

is dated but rooms are clean and bright and the furniture is of good quality. At no time was there ever any lingering odours associated with care homes.

Staff are all very caring and attentive to the residents' needs. In particular, one lovely staff member who goes above and beyond her normal duties.

My mother was resident for four weeks for assessment, if the travelling distance had not been an issue I would have been happy for my mother to have remained at Cherry Lodge on a full-time basis.
