My Mum has been at Holy Cross for 18 months. I am constantly impressed and humbled by the quality of care, dedication and professionalism of all of the staff I have met. It is very comforting to know I am leaving my Mum in a fun loving, safe environment which she is very happy to call her home.
The care staff at Bradeney House are kind, compassionate and thoughtful to my mom, they are very friendly and meet all my mom's needs, they do a difficult job and we are very grateful for all they do
Our grandma receives excellent care at Bradeney house, the staff are attentive and welcoming when you arrive for visits also. They listen to our grandmas wishes and keep us updated. We haven't had to worry about communication once. All staff are great but two members of staff, in particular, really go the extra mile when it comes to our grandmas care. We are so grateful and have peace of mind since her moving to Bradeney house. Thank you.
Bradeney House is a brilliant place to be as a patient/resident and as caring family. Our recent experience of palliative care for my 88yr old Aunt was exceptional. The staff are wonderful at all levels..caring, kind, thoughtful and discreet. My Aunt received exemplary care and so did we! They just couldn't have done more had she/we been royalty. Their care of us as a family was incredible. At meals times family were offered food - and as many drinks as we wanted. I don't give such accolades lightly having gone through a tough time with my father in another local care home that was supposedly rated highly. If only I'd had the knowledge at the time to have placed him in Bradeney' care. I can only give a 5 star review here but if I could I'd give them 10 stars! Thank you to all at Bradeney - although we were there for nursing you certainly lived up to the name of 'care home' in every way possible.
Our dad stayed in the care home for approximately two years until his recent passing. Much loved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather. During that time, we cannot fault the care and attention he received. All the staff treated him fully with respect, love and support and that was extended towards our family. Nothing was too much trouble. We would like to say a very big thank you to all the staff at Bradeney House Nursing Home.
My mother was placed temporarily in the care home after a period in hospital whilst being assessed for a return to her home. I was anxious that she would be unhappy at not being able to return straight home. However, on visiting her several times I was reassured that she was being very well looked after and was enjoying the experience. I have met many members of staff at Holy Cross and all were friendly, attentive and hard-working. There is a friendly atmosphere in the home, the food is good and many enjoyable events for the residents are put on.
Very nice home staff are very friendly and always spend time talking to the residents. My mother is happy here and that is a big relief. The manager is lovely and staff are amazing with caring for my mum.
I wish to say thank you to each member of staff at Bradeney House Nursing Home for the wonderful care of my husband in his stay at Bradeney House. Every single member of staff at every level of position there always showed enormous care and consideration. My husband was made to feel that not a single thing was too much of an effort for him to be given the medical and personal care he needed. I was so grateful for my husband to be at Bradeney House to receive the care that I was unable to give him at home. I was confident in the management that the home was run to a high standard. His nursing care was given with professionalism along with gentleness and uplifting chatting. The caregivers were marvellous each had their own individual personality in the way they treated him which my husband loved. No matter what personal care my husband needed it was attended to straight away. The well kept en-suite room my husband was in was large, light and had a lovely view over the grounds.
My Aunt needed respite for a month and I phoned around a number of settings. I immediately was impressed with the Manager, whose attitude was professional and caring. She was supportive and said that she would firstly ensure by speaking to the GP, that she could address my Aunts needs. She was prompt in doing that and accepted my Aunt. My Aunt who is a fierce critic said that she thought that the care and the food was excellent. Most importantly, if she needed care again, she would go back there again, which I think is the best review a setting can receive.
My Father was in Bradeney House for just over a week on the Windsor wing. The staff are absolutely amazing and really looked after my Dad during his short stay. We had one blunder where a nurse left a dementia medication patch on when putting a new patch on and I did complain to the Care Home Manager, Council and CQC because my father is affected badly by medication, this was swiflty dealt with though. The care home is such a big house that my Dad felt like he was in a hotel in Spain, which made the stay so much easier. I would have no problem with my father returning back to Bradeney House and would thoroughly recommend. Just a little point though, make sure you have names on all items (sewn into clothes is best) because things go adrift, not because of the home but some of the other residents don't realise that they do not belong to them, but if you do lose anything the Care Home Manager is amazing and finds these for you as best she can.
My husband was in this care home. Staff are brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble, and when I went to visit; they made drinks, it was like a home from home.
My partner passed away in this place. There is insufficient staff to serve a home of this size. I witnessed several incidents where a carer was needed. I dealt with one of them and a domestic dealt with another and this was because there was no carer or nurse on the floor due to being short staffed as they were needed elsewhere on other floors. It looks so good on paper, sorry it is not.
Very friendly and professional staff and management with a homely feel. Rooms very clean and well decorated to a high standard.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Holy Cross to anyone and everyone. It is in my view first class and extremely good value for money.
Friendly staff, nothing too much trouble for them.
Extremely pleased with most aspects of the home. Staff are kind, considerate and knowledgeable about individuals. There is always someone to listen to any issues or worries relatives may have. Carers show empathy and patience even when under time pressures and great demand. Good range of activities. Would like to see 'easy' availability of books/games/art, maybe on a trolley system. Love to see bowls of fruit and flowers which they all seem to like. Some upset over items of named clothing going astray in the laundry.
Thank you so much for taking the time to complete a review for us! Thank you for your kind words, we always try to make our home a friendly and approachable environment. Just so you are aware, there are books available in our blue lounge as part of our mini library, these are readily available to...
It has been my experience that all members of staff have always been friendly and approachable. They are always available to discuss any concerns that crop up from time to time. In addition, there is now an annual formal review in which my brother and I are invited to a one to one meeting with the manager, where a two way exchange of views and information can take place. We found this very positive. Most importantly our mother is happy at Holy Cross and feels secure in her surroundings.
Holy Cross Care home is very clean. The staff are very caring. Plenty of Activities.
Holy Cross has been wonderful in caring for my mother. The care and support have been excellent and staff are always on hand to help if it is needed. The home is both friendly and homely, giving it a great sense of community and family feel. I know my mother is well cared for and loved. Thank you to all the fantastic staff members.
I feel that Holy Cross provides all the care my mother needs and am happy to call it her home.
