Most importantly the staff really do care and they are very kind.

Dad has been living at Florence House since 2023. His lifelong hobbies and interests are actively supported. He goes to a local choir, and a local drama and arts group once a week. The care staff give him person centred care, and because the team is mainly permanent, long term, staff, they have become his family. The care team know Dad as an individual and encourage his participation in the varied activities offered by the dedicated activity coordinator. The senior staff are approachable and professional and available at any time.

I have been visiting my friend for a few years. She is happy to see me. The Staff are welcoming.

Since my mum arrived she seem very comfortable. She his eating well and seems to be well looked after. The food is really nice. The staff are always looking after my mum. Rooms are always very clean.

Very kind Staff seem to understand what is Required to look after the older generation and people with ill health.

Since mum has been resident here we have been impressed with how she has settled in the staff have all been excellent the activities they have keep them entertained well and she is really happy at the home the manager is really good and listens to every one the whole team at the home are very caring and I would recommend this home to anybody who needs a place to come here

My mother in law has settled in so well, She thinks as its her home now. Made loads of friends with other residents and the lovely staff. All the staff are helpful and friendly to all our family. We no most staff by name we have no issues or Concerns as far as my mother in law is Concerned.

My Aunt has been at the home for a few weeks, initially immobile, and has regained her mobility through the support of a fantastic team. She has settled well, and more relaxed since being at Agnes and Arthur. The staff are so kind and supportive, and have made my aunt feel happy and a part of the home. The facilities and rooms are lovely, plenty of space, and the decoration and extra touches in her room are very welcoming. She has really enjoyed the activities, bingo, having her hair done by the hairdresser and having her nails painted. Plenty to do, which is a huge reassurance for the family knowing she is in safe hands and well looked after. Would recommend for anyone looking for a a care home that truly views and cares for your loved one to an outstanding standard.

My nan has been living here a while and I've seen a big change in her mood and how she is with us all, it's great to see how well she's doing. The home is always clean and smells nice and the staff are always helpful for us and my Nan.

My mum was a resident at The Place for the last four years. She was treated with kindness, dignity and respect at all times. She was able to take part in the many activities that are organised, she was able to sit outside in the garden at any time of the day or she could stay in her room if that was what she chose to do. When the time came last week for Mum to finally leave us the staff were still with her to talk to her and give her, and us, comfort, right up to the last second. For two years before Mum went to The Place she was in one of an expensive, well known chain of care homes. She never had this level of love and care while she was there. Thank you everyone.

My aunt seems content well looked after. Very clean always welcome.

Everywhere is clean and tidy, and staff are very pleasant. My brother- in-law has now become a permanent resident and seems to have settled in very nicely.....................

My grandad has been at the home since March 2026 and I really can't fault it. The staff are always so friendly and helpful. He goes on more days out than I do. If they aren't going on a day trip then they're doing something at home such as baking, animal or music therapy. It's clean, the food is fresh and even regular tea and snack trolleys going around. Definitely the best care home in Stoke-On-Trent. We feel more at ease knowing he's somewhere being taken care of and safe.

Amazing facility with dedicated & caring staff. The environment is spot on & all the activities/outings definitely keep them occupied & entertained. Definitely one of the better care homes in the area in comparison to others. Highly recommended!

My Mum has been at the Place Up Hanley for 2 years. I can not fault the care, compassion and friendship shown to my Mum and myself. I wouldn't want her to be anywhere else

This residential home has made my life complete. I have to say that it should be 10 because it is the jewel home of all homes probably in the world. It is spotlessly clean. The food is excellent hence 41" waistline. All the staff are amazing. My bedroom is like a f* hotel. I have all my own special photo's and personal possesions in my room. My clothes and bedding are washed regularly. I can't fault one thing in this lovely home. Wonderful activities and outings.

The facilities are really good, the garden is lovely. All in all very happy.

When you first moved the dining area to the sitting area and vice verse with the lounge there was plenty of room to move about and sit comfortable but now all the chairs seem so close together you feel as if when talking everybody knows your business, and also since putting the red & blue chair under T.V. in two circles there no room to move about, everyone to close together would it not be better to include a sitting area by windows in dining area so more room for visitors or residents to sit in comfort.
