My dad has now been resident at Welby Croft now for over 5 years. From the onset, as a resident he has always been made to feel at home, respected with individual care being directed to his personal needs and requirements. As time has gone on, these requirements have changed but the management, staff
and support functions have compensated to still meet these needs. The local home management are always at hand to discuss and give input into care need and personal care plans. There is always an experienced senior carer on site, and readily contactable if visiting. Updates are given directly and discussed openly. Activities are geared to residents needs and requests. Recently, my dad has become more reliant on personal care and staff input, all of which has been discussed into care plans, and implemented with no fuss. Welby Croft, specifically the local management and staff that provide care, activities and support functions are without doubt some of the best I have ever come accross.

Our lovely mum came to Welby Croft September 2020 and sadly passed away March 2026. The care, love and attention all the staff have shown my mum has been amazing. It wasn't an easy decision to put my mum in a care home and I am so so glad we chose Welby!
The home itself has a really warm welcoming
feel, just like you are at home....All the staff are lovely and you can see they really enjoy what they do as it's reflected in their care. We have spent 5 and a half years visiting mum and have always been made to feel welcome....
I will miss seeing the staff and have promised to visit! Take care all and carry on doing what you do!
Lots of love Emma x

My mum has dementia, with respite in mind I visited Welby Croft. The home is secure as the main entrance is locked at all times so residents can't wander off and visitors must sign in. The rooms we saw were newly decorated, one had a view of the garden and the other a view across the countryside. I
appreciated the consideration and time that must have gone into developing their "Memory Lane" which was excellent. The amount of activities they do with residents is impressive, they were preparing an "al fresco" dining experience, and monthly they also organise a day out. The most important thing was seeing how the staff interacted with the residents and it was wonderful to see the attention, care and respect shown. When the time comes, I'm sure my mum would be happy here.

We cannot thank the Argyle staff enough for the care and kindness given to Mum. It has been a great comfort to the family knowing she is so well looked after. She has a lovely room and has made some good friends. Mum particularly enjoys the programme of live music performances in the lounge. The facilities
are always clean and staff retention seems very good which means there are always familiar faces on hand who have come to know Mum well. We would highly recommend this home.
Reply from Chelsey Mazari, Manager at ArgyleThank you for your kind words. I will pass it onto everyone's. Mum is a ray of sunshine to us all.Thank you for the review

From the first time we arrived at Welby the staff welcomed us with open arms and warm smiles, and that kindness has never wavered. Every team member treat the residents with kindness, respect, and compassion.
What sets Welby apart is the sense of family. They don't just provide care; they create
a home. My brother has found not only safety and comfort here, but also friendship, laughter, and joy. The activities are thoughtfully planned, the meals are delicious and nutritious, and the environment is always clean, cheerful, and full of life.
We are endlessly grateful to the wonderful team who go above and beyond every day. Knowing our brother is happy, well-cared for, and valued brings us peace that words can't fully express. Thank you for everything you do, you are amazing!

Our Mum has been at the Argyle for around 7.5 years. We are very happy with the care Mum gets, the staff are very warm, helpful and friendly and she has known some of them a long time. The care home is very clean, tidy and decorated nicely. Mum's room is lovely and she has a view of the park. The location
couldn't be nicer.
Mum's privacy is respected, and she has the opportunity to chat with other residents, particularly at meal times. I understand there are activities and entertainment, for those that wish to join in.
We are so glad that we chose the Argyle for Mum. Thankyou for everything you do for her.
Reply from Chelsey Mazari, Manager at ArgyleThank you so much for this lovely review. It means a lot to the staff at the Argyle. Mum is a pleasure to care for. She is part of the family.

My mother suffers from dementia as well as many other issues. She has been in Welby Croft since December 24. It has a warm, family environment and all are wonderful who work there. The food is excellent and they have an ongoing activities programme. A hairdressers salon in house is a luxury with a quiet
lounge, lounge with a television and a lovely conservatory looking over the hills. I don't think people know how hard it is to run a home catering for so many people all with individual needs and personalities. I and my family visit my mum regularly and I know not all people can't do that but I see all the hard work that goes into making the home so special.

My mum was a resident at Welby Croft for over 2 years sadly passing away December 2024. I cannot recommend Welby highly enough. The staff are amazing. So caring and provide a wonderful atmosphere for all residents and their families. They have been supportive during some difficult times and have always
shown care and dignity. The activities available are varied and non-condescending to patrons and seem to be well-liked. Food is homemade, looks delicious and of an excellent quality - extra was always available if needed. I sincerely cannot thank them enough for the care shown to my beautiful mum. The laughter and love at Welby Croft is present each and every day. The residents are respected and cared for as I would have only better as 24/7. Nothing was too much for them in relation to the care of my mum and my family during her final weeks and for which I will always be grateful.

My mum has been in The Argyle for a couple of years and myself and three siblings could not be happier. The home is spotless and always smells clean. The staff are wonderful and so caring. Another bonus is the lack of staff turnover so my mum knows all her carers well. The food is delicious and there
is often entertainment in the lounge. Nothing is too much trouble for the Argyle staff and I can't recommend it highly enough.

Whenever I visit Argyle the staff are always friendly and helpful. I know that care home staff - anywhere - are kept busy with their work, but at the Argyle, it doesn't stop them from being positive when I see them.
I also notice how patient they are with my relative.
The manager too is a positive
