We were very impressed by the staff who were very friendly and helpful. The food was so very much better than the meals that the hospital had been serving for the previous two months.
The accommodation was excellent- the room had plenty of space. We were impressed by the external services, the chiropodist
and the hair dresser were an added bonus!
Thank you so much for helping out for the three week respite. - it really made a difference

Unfortunately my dad's stay was a short one as he moved there on end of life care. From the very first moment we walked in I knew my dad was going to be extremely happy and at home there as it was like one big happy family. The staff go above and beyond everyday they showed my dad so much love, care
and support in his final months and was also his safe space when everything got too much for him. I'm honestly in awe of every single member of team at the green Dronfield as they treat every person as an individual they always have time for a chat or just to pop in and make sure everything is ok. Not only did every member of staff make sure that my dad kept onto his dignity to the end they treated him with respect and compassion and made sure that his final home was full of warmth and laughter and love. The support we received as a family was amazing nothing was too much trouble everyone spoke everyday we visited and we were greeted with a warm welcome.

My dad came to live at The Green in February of this year, after leaving hospital on end of life. When he arrived he was very poorly. Over the weeks that he has been there he has really improved. The Green is a lovely, friendly place to visit, we like to see dad as much as is possible. There are daily
activities like keep fit, armchair sports which dad loves. Dad loves music and sing songs are a weekly thing. Music is very important to dad it help calm him and make him happier. Tracey regularly puts his favourite rock and roll on for him. The staff are really approachable and deal with any questions that I have about dad. The Manager is always on hand if I want to discuss dad. Overall it really is a pleasure to visit and is peace of mind for me that dad is being cared for so well.

My husband was a resident in the Callywhite for five and a half years until his death in March 2026. He went there during COVID.
Throughout this time I cannot express how wonderfully he was cared for. The beautiful immaculately clean rooms, the lovely meals, the amount of care and attention put
into the activities to the wonderful care staff. Everyone has always gone the extra step to make his life as fulfilled and comfortable as was possible.
If there were any concerns senior management were always available.
Our family will be eternally grateful

The Callywhite is an excellent care home which benefits from being designed for dementia patients.so that it is a safe environment for residents at all times. I had good experience of another home where my mother- in- law was resident for her final years so I had no hesitation in trusting The Callywhite
to care for my wife'when due to her dementia she needed the care that I was no longer able to provide. I wish to praise all staff who are so cheerful, kind and welcoming and this is across the spectrum from the manager and administrator to all the carers. I never cease to be impressed with the love and care they provide to all residents and the endless patience that doing so requires. I know my wife is safe and well cared for and I could ask for no more.

The Callywhite is an excellent care home with high quality accommodation, a good location and, most importantly, wonderful staff. The level of care combined with respect, compassion and good humour is truly impressive. Communications with relatives are excellent, and I experienced many instances of
flexibility and responsiveness to individual needs or requests. A wide range of entertainments and activities is organised to cater for all tastes. My mother particularly loved the visits of various animals including owls and a miniature pony. There are countless examples of where staff went above and beyond their duties; just one example is the caring and imaginative way they organised Christmas Day celebrations and carried them out with such good humour despite missing their own day at home. I am truly in awe of their dedication and kindness.

I am always reassured by the caring and kind attitude of the staff at the Callywhite. My mum is well cared for and is allowed to wander in a safe manner around the home. All the staff from house keepers, maintenance staff, carers and social organisers are always friendly and welcoming.
I am very impressed
by the contribution of the social activities staff who are exceptional in their loving and gentle approach to the residents. They work hard to arrange a programme of activities for the residents and the Christmas events programme was amazing! Mum is often unable to access the social activities in a meaningful way but is still welcomed and encouraged to take part.
The administrator is always welcoming to visitors and readily available for any queries.
Thank you to all the staff at the Callywhite for all your hard work and care.

The Callywhite was recommended to us as the perfect place for Mum to live, after independent living was no longer an option due to frailty and decreased mobility. She needed help with day to day living but also plenty of company, conversation, television, laughter, puzzles, jigsaws and frequent
cups of tea!
We made a preliminary visit and with the availability of a room overlooking the park and a very positive first impression of the staff, building and facilities, the decision was made.
We didn't look anywhere else.
She's been in her home from home for about three months now....settled, happy, well cared for and with peace of mind for the family.

From the beginning to the end of my mum's time at The Green we found it to be the perfect place for her.
From her arrival all the staff were very welcoming & supportive of mum & the family. She was always included in all aspects of life at the Green & although mum wasn't very responsive the staff were
always patient, kind & responded to my mum's health needs quickly whilst keeping the family informed.
After mum was placed onto end of life care I couldn't fault the staff for their professionalism, compassion & willingness to go the extra mile; they treated mum with great dignity & respect. Their flexibility with visiting hours especially towards the end allowed family members to visit when they could & the respect shown was greatly appreciated. During this time the staff checked on the welfare of the family, providing comfort and a welcome cup of tea and snacks at all hours.
I would recommend this care home to anyone who wants a high standard of specialist care for their loved ones.

I live overseas, and can only talk with my mother by phone at certain times. The team at GreenCare always make it so easy for me to connect and speak with my mother providing the necessary support and guidance. This makes the value of such calls and time so worthwhile.
Equally, it is always a joy
to see my mums delight at the food served by the home, especially her breakfast
Thank you all at GreenCare

My wife has been here for 18 months. I would definately not have my wife who has Lewybody dementia and Parkinsons anywhere else. I would love to take my wife home but of course I can't. It's hard for her but, the carers, domestics, nurses and all other staff and management are second to non. No care/nursing
home is perfect, but the Green comes close. A big hug and thankyou to you all x

I cannot recommend 'The Green' enough. The staff are extremely caring for my mother in law and nothing is too much trouble. They also do activities like singalongs which she loves. If there are any health issues, we are contacted immediately and kept updated all the time.

Unfortunately Mum's stay at The Green was only very short as she moved there for end of life care. From the moment she arrived she was treated with the utmost care and respect, as was I during my visits. I was kept informed of all changes in her health and all my wishes were taken into consideration.
On the morning that mum passed away everyone we had contact with were superb - incredibly kind, compassionate and respectful. I really cannot recommend The Green highly enough.

On first impressions we were very impressed with the cleanliness and variety of public rooms. The residents room are comfortable and can made personal to them. An important feature for us was there was no unpleasant odour. The staff we initially met were informative and easy to talk to.
My relative
has been in this CH since Dec 2024. She has received wonderful care throughout. Initially she was very weak following quite a long hospital stay unable to feed herself properly and immobile but mentally very astute.
Almost 12 months on she has overcome all of this thanks to the care she has received.
The staff are kind attentive and understanding. There is a constant varied program of events and activities.
A recent new addition of a salon for the residents to be pampered is well liked.
The menus look amazing varying over a 2 week period.
Staff ratio to residents is very good.
My relative is happy and settled now she is her usual self.

Our mother initially went into The Green Care Home for respite care following a fall and inability to care for herself safely at home. She was initially reluctant to leave her home of many years and uncertain if this was the right place for her, and understandably it took a good few weeks for her to
settle. She now considers The Green to be her home and describes it as "like one big family". The staff have all been very supportive of her and communicative with us; they are friendly, patient and kind and take our mother's health and care needs seriously. We are enormously grateful to them. I would not hesitate to recommend The Green to anyone looking for residential care for their loved ones.

Reply from T Jaiswal, The Green Team at The Green Care HomeThank you so much for your lovely review and for sharing your family's experience. It means a great deal to us to know that your mum has felt happy, content, and well cared for during her three and a half years at The Green.
Our team work incredibly hard to provide consistent, compassionate support, so your kind words about both the staff and management will be truly appreciated by everyone here.
Thank you for your trust, your continued support, and for allowing us to be part of your mum's life and home.
