My mother-in-law was a resident in Nicholas House for 32 months and in that time all the staff showed love, care and kindness to her at all times My mother-in-law was on end of life in the last month and sadly passed away on 7th December 2024 age 99 and I was touched by their kindness not just to her
but myself as well nothing ever seemed too much trouble for them.
We had visited other care homes in surrounding areas but were impressed with how clean Nicholas House smelt so decided that's where she would be.
In my opinion, Nicholas House is an outstanding care home. All staff including carers, chefs and cleaners are superb. I would recommend this care home to everyone.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your care and love given to my MIL

Staff were caring, helpful and respectful.
The home had a homely, cheerful and calm feeling.
Dad was sent from hospital to the care home for end-of-life care.
Staff made a very difficult time more bearable.

Always made welcome. Staff are very friendly, always clean and tidy. Most times when we visit we are offered a hot drink. Staff always have time to stop and chat with you.

An outstanding care home that showers each resident with dignity, love and respect. Every one of the carers, chefs and cleaners is superb. My mum was able to keep her pride and dignity until her last day. We will be forever grateful to the home and were delighted to call them our friends.

We were very satisfied with the level of care Mother received for her three-week respite care. The staff were kind and knowledgeable and treated Mother with dignity. The home was very well run and nothing was too much trouble.

My brother-in-law after having brain surgery in November came to the care home shortly after and was made very welcome. The staff and management are absolutely brilliant and can not do enough for him. Thank you Holly House.

The home was very nice and clean. I was recovering from having steel rods fitted in my leg and arm and was initially not very mobile. I was very well looked after and the staff were friendly and attentive.
The food was nice and varied and nothing was too much trouble.
I was glad to leave after spending
the month in the hospital and then three weeks there but that was more the call of my home not the experience there.
I would have no hesitation in recommending the home for elderly or infirm family and friends.

I find Holly House a very nice, friendly place. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The atmosphere is very relaxed. It is very light and airy. Having the animals outside just adds more character to the home and relaxing to watch. The rooms are clean and tidy and ensure, which is a bonus.

My aunt has been well cared for and the staff have been really good with her. She likes to stay in her room and they allow her to do as she wishes. The staff always have a cheerful natter with her which she appreciates. I am very happy with the care and the improvement in her generally.

Mum came to Holly House following a three-week hospital stay. She was made to feel very welcome immediately and even though she arrived at 7pm in the evening, the staff were very patient and understanding with her as she adjusted to the change. All the staff are very cheerful, sympathetic and understanding
and Mum was able to settle quickly. Holly House has a very homely feel and we know Mum has been in safe hands.

Over the two years, my wife has been in the care home, I have seen improvements when they changed the manager. The staff from management through all departments are absolutely wonderful. The care they give to the residents is the best. I can go home not worrying about my wife because I know she couldn't

Firstly my aunt feels ok here, she is happy. I find the staff very approachable and helpful and very kind. I also like the fact that whenever we visit at any time it is no problem. They always inform us if anything has changed with her. We know she is safe and looked after. All the ladies are so kind

My father was discharged from the hospital to Holly House after an operation until he was able to go back home. There was uncertainty about how long he would be resident at Holly House due to circumstances beyond anyone's control but that didn't matter to the staff at all.
I visited dad on a number
of occasions between 21st January and 25th February and I have to say I was immensely impressed. The rooms were comfortable, all areas were very clean, security was spot on and the staff were all great! Communication was also key and Holly House's staff were on point.
Thank you for caring so much! Dad wasn't ill but had to stay in residential care regardless, you all made him so welcome and my brothers and I appreciate it, as does dad who told me to mark as excellent!
