Holly House may not have crystal chandeliers or thick Axminster carpets but what it DOES have is its residents best interests at the heart of everything and that's what GENUINE CARE is all about.

My wife Patricia was the resident, but she is unable to fill in this review. She went in to give me respite to recover from a fall. The staff were very kind and considerate to her.

Always made welcome. Staff are very friendly, always clean and tidy. Most times when we visit we are offered a hot drink. Staff always have time to stop and chat with you.

An outstanding care home that showers each resident with dignity, love and respect. Every one of the carers, chefs and cleaners is superb. My mum was able to keep her pride and dignity until her last day. We will be forever grateful to the home and were delighted to call them our friends.

I find Holly House a very nice, friendly place. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The atmosphere is very relaxed. It is very light and airy. Having the animals outside just adds more character to the home and relaxing to watch. The rooms are clean and tidy and ensure, which is a bonus.

Very happy with the care my mum received. She said the staff used to come within minutes of being buzzed.

From the very beginning of Mum's stay, the staff have been brilliant in every aspect of care and protection. As well as the management, who also have been most helpful with everything.

They also keep her happy when she does not settle at night with drinks and company.

My aunt has been well cared for and the staff have been really good with her. She likes to stay in her room and they allow her to do as she wishes. The staff always have a cheerful natter with her which she appreciates. I am very happy with the care and the improvement in her generally.

Nicholas House Care Home always feels like a proper home. The staff are always friendly and smiling. I feel happy that my mum is being well cared for and looked after.

Mum came to Holly House following a three-week hospital stay. She was made to feel very welcome immediately and even though she arrived at 7pm in the evening, the staff were very patient and understanding with her as she adjusted to the change. All the staff are very cheerful, sympathetic and understanding and Mum was able to settle quickly. Holly House has a very homely feel and we know Mum has been in safe hands.

Over the two years, my wife has been in the care home, I have seen improvements when they changed the manager. The staff from management through all departments are absolutely wonderful. The care they give to the residents is the best. I can go home not worrying about my wife because I know she couldn't be in safer hands. Top marks to Nicholas House Care Home.
