Little Heaton feels like a second family, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a caring, respectful, and nurturing environment for their loved ones. I can't thank the team enough for the peace of mind they provide.

Heaton staff give 100% care and dignity they also are very friendly and understanding as when my husband's dementia is at a high level and makes me cry, they always have a shoulder to cry on. Anyone thinking of having to place a loved one into a care home then consider Little Heaton, it is like one big happy family, from the cleaners, laundry staff, kitchen staff, carers, team leaders and the manager. They all make you feel welcome a massive heartfelt thank you to the manager and all her staff.

I honestly could never thank them all enough, the staff care very much for the residents under their care. I would never want my mum to be placed elsewhere ever.

Dad's life we as a family were made very welcome and comfortable and nothing seemed too much trouble for the staff. Dad died peacefully knowing Mum was in good hands. Having spent so much time ourselves in the care home, we can see how comfortable Mum is with the staff and how well she responds to their calm care and endless patience. Mum was in a bad way when she was discharged from hospital to Mapleford, but during her time there she has gained weight, looks much better cared for and her pressure areas have healed. When visiting it is a pleasure to be made so welcome by the staff and they have always been willing to have a chat with us when needed.

Mum particularly enjoys keeping busy and it would really help if the activities team was increased to allow more of activities which are tailored to the needs of the residents. She particularly enjoys crafts, pet therapy with the lovely Theo (a dog) and occasional visits out. We particularly enjoy the Facebook posts which allow us to see what mum is up to between our visits and it is comforting to know that she is happy when we are not there. When we visit we always receive a warm welcome from the staff - plus coffee and biscuits! At these times Mum is always clean and well dressed and looks well cared for.
