My mum has been in your care home for 6 weeks at first she was very quiet and not joining in very much, now she seems really happy and is enjoying herself. The staff are lovely and caring. The activities you have every day are really doing her good. The photos you take my mum didn't look very happy on them at first, now she's smiling all the time. Thank you for being so caring and looking after my mum

My nan has been staying at Castle Grange for the past 6 weeks. She has dementia and other health issues. This was a massive change for her as she's very much stuck in her ways and doesn't understand the level of care she actually needs. The carers and nurses have been great with my nan, very attentive, friendly and always encouraging her to join in with activities. My nan is now settling in well, smiling and making friends with the residents. The care home is always immaculate and the staff are quick to attend to her if she's ill and get the right help. I have full trust in Castle Grange that they meet my nans needs well.

Overall Experience
The staff at Castle Grange are fantastic. Each one showed so much love and support towards my father who was in their care, and all my family members who visited him during his end of life treatment.

They regularly checked-in on him (he wasn't left alone like you hear about in other care homes) and they constantly offered our family tea and biscuits to help us through a difficult time. They also provided advice and support whilst giving my father respect and dignity as he passed away. I'll never forget what they did for our family - it truly was outstanding. Thank you x

Cambridge Court is welcoming, inclusive and has a comforting homely feeling from the moment you walk through the door and are greeted by the friendly reception staff or the manager and deputy and all the lovely care team. My Mum has been made to feel welcome since moving from another home which was preceded by a long hospital stay. Facilities are good, care is excellent from the Registered Nurses and care staff and there are plenty of activities on offer. Today the team organised a lovely Christmas party with a great singer, fabulous buffet and most importantly all of the team made residents and families so welcome and created a lovely atmosphere. Thank you Alena and team for all your hard work.

The staff have been lovely and helpful.
The communication could be improved.

The rooms and services have been lovely and the staff have included him in all activities which he has enjoyed. The food options could be improved but they are nutritious and healthy. Overall, the experience has been good and helpful.

Excellent care home, very friendly staff and plenty going on with the activities daily. Lovely managers, nurses and staff really get involved with the residents, making it very nice to see this. Either just chatting or through activities/conversation. I would recommend this home and feel at ease that my mum is being cared for here. Very happy.

Review of Castle Grange from E H (Sister of Resident) published on 2 December 2025 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My sister has been at Castle Grange since the beginning of September 2025. She looks so much better now, happier and more relaxed than she was before her admittance. All of my interactions with the staff have been very positive. I live abroad and can't visit as often as I'd like, but after my last visit, I left feeling reassured that she is being well cared for and treated with respect.

Cambridge Court is an excellent care home and takes great care of all its residents. Staff are always pleasant, helpful and usually smiling even when taking care of my father in law when he's in a cantacarus mood. A wide range of activities are arranged and we can watch videos of him, along with the other residents, on social media. Everyone enjoying themselves. The team are well led by Alena and Michelle. I wouldn't want him anywhere else. Would highly recommend 10/10. I've scored 4 for the food and drink as I don't know what it's like as the care home has protected meal times but they do come round with drinks and biscuits when I've been there

Review of Cambridge Court Care Home from A P (Daughter of Resident) published on 21 November 2025 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
Cambridge Court is a true home from home for my Mum filled with an amazing team who always provide compassionate, dignified care and do it with a smile, providing hugs or kind words when reassurance is needed. Visitors are welcomed and made to feel part of the family.
Residents socialise and take part in a fabulous programme of activities with something provided to suit everyone's tastes or abilities. Trips out, entertainment in the lounge, firework displays, bucket lists, alpaca visits, pamper days, hairdressing in the salon, afternoon tea and lots and lots of singing and dancing to name but a few of the many many lovely things the residents participate in.
The home is spotlessly clean and the food is good, always enjoyed by Mum. The menus are varied with all needs catered for superbly.

As a family we found it extremely difficult to place Mum into a care home but with hindsight it was the best decision we could have made for her. She is settled, loved and cared for. Thank you.

Our mum recently moved into Cambridge Court and I feel compelled to write a review, even after this short period, to commend the whole team at this wonderful home. It has been a warm, reassuring welcome for us (all) as it can be an unsettling time for residents (and family!). I have been so impressed at the care and attention of all the staff. Everybody smiles and acknowledges you, and how so many of the team across the various rooms already know our mum's name amazes me. The home is kept spotlessly clean and the care from all of the staff is evident. There is an open door policy with the managers and communication has been excellent. Thank you so much to all of the team.

I cannot praise this care home enough, yes in one or 2 communal areas a lick of paint would not go amiss but that is being addressed, what you cannot fault is the homely, friendly, happy environment that hits you when you walk into Cambridge Court Care Home, all created by a dedicated team of carers and their leaders, who go about their day with a smile on their faces, creating this magical feeling.
Obviously not all residents are able to demonstrate happiness to the same degree but those who can, certainly do, enjoying all the fun, singing and other magical activities that take place.
I cannot believe the transformation in my mother in law (92 years) diagnosed with dementia.

Well done all.

My mum came to stay at Cambridge Court Care Home in September of last year, this was a massive decision for us as a family placing my mum in a care home but unfortunately my mum needed 24 hours expert care. We did look around at many homes across the area and Cambridge Court had come highly recommended.
Sadly, my mum was only at Cambridge Court for 4 weeks and passed away at the start of October. But during those 4 weeks the care and compassion that was shown to my mum was truly wonderful.
My mum passed away very suddenly and we will never forget how lovely and personal the staff made my mum's final hours. She passed away with great dignity just how she would have wanted it.

We will never forgot this. Thank you all to everyone at Cambridge Court, and if you are with any doubt placing a family member here, please don't worry they will be looked after like a member of there own family.

Mum has been at Cambridge Court Care Home for 4 years and she is still as content as the moment she first walked through the doors! Her Alzheimer's has progressed and is very debilitating but the care and attention she gets from management and staff has not changed! All the staff are absolutely amazing and go above and beyond to make sure my mum is happy and comfortable. When mum had a bad chest infection and was on end of life care, the Cambridge Court family looked after us as a family with the same love they gave mum. And when mum recovered they were there with hugs of happiness and relief! Christmas Day is a joy to share with them all. The chef's cooking is delicious and staff go to great lengths to make sure we all enjoyed our lunch and the day.

All the staff are amazing. No matter what gets thrown at them (Covid, chest infections, sickness bugs) they deal with it all in a very friendly and professional way. Activities most days for the residents are indoor as well as taking them out on trips. Would definitely recommend Cambridge Court Care Home to everyone looking for a care home for their loved ones.

Mum lived there for 3 years. She was well looked after and cared for. The activities arranged included llama visits, singers and afternoon tea out. I would highly recommend this home to anyone. I had reservations at first, as we wanted her to stay at home but it was the best move for her.
