When going into sister-in-law staff very pleasant offered drink with cake etc or melon. Got a call from nursing home to say doctor in to check over people, looked at sister-in-laws sore on leg, felt her tummy found to be tight ordered ambulance staff called asked to attend. Members of staff stayed with
her and made up over night bag. After all tests and stay over night returned next day to nursing home a member of staff rang to say she returned.

My sister was in Andrew Smith House with steadily declining mental and physical capacity for approximately 14 months.
She was kept as comfortable as possible, and whenever I phoned (as I live some distance away) the staff, usually Hazel or Bushra would always take the cordless phone to her, and had
up to date information about her condition.
I was impressed the catering staff baked her a birthday cake too, and pureed some to feed to her. Thank you everyone.

Visitors are always welcomed by a smile. Carers are all very pleasant and extremely easy to talk to. It is easy to see that they are dedicated to their jobs. Residents seem very calm in their surroundings, and the whole place is kept absolutely spotless. Couldn't wish for a nicer place.

The Staff at Stocks Hall are the Best! The home is well managed, there is always time for them to provide the right care and support for our Mum. Neither us or our Mum ever imagined being in a home, but after a tragic accident left us all no options, we looked into a number of placements for her. We
have made the right decision. The staff levels are not just higher than most homes, they are filled with the most caring, compassionate and supportive people who are full of time and empathy. Thank You for everything you are doing to make these difficult times the best they can be! (Also - the food is fantastic :) )

Mum went into Stocks Hall Burscough in December 2026 having suffered with clots on her brain. Mum also has dementia. She was very frail and had lost a lot of weight. We thought we may be losing Mum. Since then though the care and attention she has received from Stocks Hall has been fantastic. Mum is
now more alert which is remarkable from where she was. All the nurses and care staff are wonderful. It really does feel like her new home. Mum loves the food and we are kept informed.

My mother was admitted to Stocks Hall Burscough at the beginning of March 26 and spent 4 weeks in their care. During that time she was treated with genuine respect, kindness and compassion. Every member of staff involved in her care was warm and attentive, always treating her as a person first, rather
than just a patient. Mum was very private, traditional lady and her personal care was always carried out with the utmost dignity and sensitivity, which meant a great deal to us. The food was also excellent, well prepared, generous portions and clearly home-cooked. Not only did the team care for mum so thoughtfully but they also took the time to support me during a very difficult period.

My mum sadly passed away recently, Stocks Hall is such an amazing place, my mum had been on the Red Admiral unit for almost 3 years and from day one all the staff have been so caring. They made a very difficult decision so much easier, from the moment my mum moved in we felt such relief knowing that
she was being well cared for and was safe. Everyone is so friendly and couldn't do enough for both my mum and us as a family. Keep doing what you're doing, we will always be grateful for everything you did for us all. Xxx

Friendly, welcome attitued. It's home from home. Everybody introduced themselves, care staff, nurses and owner. You are worried, apprehensive when you move to a care home, scared even. My brother has rang his bell, always answered, night & day. Given a TV & radio. Personal hygeine excellent, he's clean.
In hospital appalling, no feet wash, no tooth brushing for 8 weeks.

A clean and pleasant environment. The facilities are excellent and the staff are in my experience friendly, helpful and very welcoming. They contribute massively to making each visit a pleasure. The activities team seem to be very enthusiastic and engaging without being 'pushy' in any way. The domestic
service is excellent. Never a problem with laundry or cleaning at all. All in all a nice place run by nice people.

My husband is in nursing care. He cannot speak, move and receives his meds and liquid diet through a peg. Staff are vigilant and alert the GP's if they have any concerns. Nursing staff and carers are respectful and thoughtful. I especially like the consistency of staff on the unit. They communicate
with me as my husbands spouse whenever I am in, and indeed phone me if they have any concerns at all.

My husband had to move homes as his previous care home closed down. From what was an extremely worrying time turned into a better than hoped for outcome. This home is in a rural setting is very modern and always well maintained, spotless, safe & secure! Its almost like a hotel! All the staff were extremely
welcoming, friendly and quickly set our minds at ease. The care my husband is receiving is first class and he has settled in well, its lovely to see him smiling and relaxed. They work very hard to ensure all his needs are met, there are plenty of activities going on and its so nice he has a full life again. I have no worries of him being there and know my husband is in good hands. I feel very much at home when i come to visit. I highly recommend this home, they definitely put the 'Care' in Care Home!

I have been visiting my sister for many years at Stocks Hall Care Home on the Peacock ward as she had dementia. I found it was a wonderful unit with lots of compassion and care it was always exceptionally clean and tidy and all the staff so friendly. My sister recently passed and the comfort they gave
me was more than anything I could have wished for in her last hours. I will be grateful to them for the rest of my life. Thank you, may god bless them and all the good work they do.

My mum was in Stocks Hall Care Home for over 6 months, until she passed away. The staff were kind, caring and patient with her from the start. They also welcomed Mum's visitors every time we came, including our dog. Nothing was ever too much trouble. We were all treated like family. I couldn't have
wished for a better care home for Mum and have no trouble in recommending this care home.

What a lovely care home. The staff are really friendly and always do amazing activities with them. Always keep updating the rooms and keep everything looking fresh and clean. They go above and beyond to resolve a problem. The manager has made so many improvements and is always available when you need
her! A family friend lives here and they look after him so well. Thank you so much.

I had spent months looking around the Northwest Area for a respite care home for my wife who has dementia. I was recommended to Stocks Hall Mawdesley by a friend. My first impression of Stocks Mawdesley is it looks like a five-star hotel, I called in, on the off chance one Sunday. I was given a quick
tour around and found the place very nice and the staff very friendly and helpful. I made arrangements over the next month or so to have further discussions with the management. I decided that Stocks was the ideal place for my wife and it would put my mind at rest on how she would be looked after, while I took my respite. I can only say that it was a great decision, my wife enjoyed it immensely, confirmed by all our family/friends who visited her. I would like to thank again the management cares, and the staff who are behind the scenes that were involved in my wife's care, thus making it easier for me to leave her for the first time in our 54 years of marriage.

I am very pleased that my father-in-law was looked after in this home. The staff were welcoming and kind. They treat my relative and all the family with great kindness, respect and dignity. Areas were clean and tidy. The food was excellent. My father-in-law regained his appetite and put in weight whilst
at the home, recommend this place highly.

Fantastic friendly and caring staff make this care home the perfect place for my dad. My dad is treated with respect, dignity and love. The staff seem to know him and understand him. He has settled brilliantly after struggling in a different care home. what is also amazing is how lovely everyone is
to us, his family. For example, they encouraged my 90-year-old mum to eat with my dad. This has made her day. She's so happy she can share a meal with my dad and it helps her as she doesn't need to make her own meal on those days. Thank you for everything!
