Review of

Southside Older People's Services

from Jacqueline H (Daughter of Resident) published on 18 December 2024
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Our mum lived in Southside Older People's Services for 5 years but sadly passed away on April 5th this year. We just wanted to say how well she was looked after.
She loved Southside Older People's Services and everyone in it. It was her home!
But it was the hardest thing in our life's to actually
put our own Mother in strange place and leave her there. As it turned out it was the best thing we ever done. The manager and all the staff are absolutely outstanding. They showed her love, compassion, care and lots of patience. She had Alzheimer's and could be very difficult as the years went on but was still given the best care and all the love possible. We had asked if our mum deteriorated quickly that she would go peacefully in Southside Older People's Services with everyone she knew and loved and that's exactly what happened. She would have been terrified to have been taken to hospital and a strange place. We cannot recommend Southside Older People's Services, The manager and staff enough. They gave the best end-of-life care possible - the manager is a diamond. They are special people.

Review of

Crannog Care Home

from Patricia M (Sister of Resident) published on 14 July 2021
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My sister became a resident at Crannog Care Home in May of this year. At first, I was a bit concerned by the lack of information and photos of the care home on the Mungo Foundation website. I need not have worried, the staff are fantastic and have taken time to get to know my sister and planned her
care to suit. The facilities, including an enclosed garden, are superb. I have in the past had a really bad experience with a relative in a different home and I wish this home had been available at that time. I hope that in the near future videos and photos are put on the website.
