My mum has been in Northwood for over a year now and is enjoying life again after being widowed. She loves her walks and all the activities put on for their entertainment and stimulation. The food, cleanliness, comfort and happy family atmosphere is amazing. The staff are very professional and extremely helpful and friendly, not only to mum but to family visiting as well. A great team effort, thank you all for treating our loved ones with such care and dignity.

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all the staff at Westlea Care Home, Barrhead, for the life-changing impact you have had on my mum and our whole family. After my mum's dementia diagnosis, I struggled with the standard care package and felt I was failing her. I visited Westlea unsure whether a care home was right, but from the moment I walked in, my view completely changed. The setting felt warm, welcoming, and far from the clinical environment I had imagined. It gave me the confidence to try a temporary placement, and the transformation has been remarkable. My mum has gone from lonely and struggling at home to cheerful, vibrant, and genuinely loving life again. I have never seen her this happy. We now share quality time filled with laughter, and it feels like we have our family back. Every member of staff is exceptional. Their kindness, patience, respect, and genuine care shine through in everything they do, and the activities bring so much joy.

Can't fault the care home or staff one bit ,everyone from the carers cleaners and management interact with the residents,,food is all Cooked from scratch no packet stuff,,one of my main things is it's all full time staff not run with agency staff so they know my mother n law and her needs at all times having worked myself in other care homes this is night and day myself and my family are at ease knowing she is being well cared for Thanks to all the staff x

Prior to finding a suitable care home for my elderly father (Oct 2025) I visited many care homes within the area. Rosehall Manor in Shotts immediately stood out from the rest. It was clean, welcoming and safe. Every member of staff was approachable, always having time to discuss my father's care. I have watched staff interact with the residents in challenging situations with sensitivity, compassion and professionalism. I am reassured by the empathy shown to my father and to those family members who visit. I can't thank the staff enough for making this difficult journey much easier for all involved.

I would highly recommend this Care Home to anyone who is looking for that secure, safe and supported environment

my mother went into the home in 2020 during covid which was a difficult time for everyone visiting was restricted for everyone the staff went above and beyond during this time and still do its not just a care home its the residents home always made welcome when visiting and my mother is well cared for and comfortable

Mum has been a resident here for just over 5 weeks and has settled in very well. This is in no small part to the efforts of management and staff who are professional, sensitive and caring. The home is maintained and equipped to a very high standard. Each resident is encouraged to make it "their home" and to this end we have been able to make mum's room very personal to her. We have been very impressed with the friendliness of all staff who go out of their way to provide a relaxed welcoming atmosphere encouraging participation in a wide range of activities both in and outwith the home. We have no reservations about her safety and security and receive frequent updates on mum as the staff have clearly taken the time to get to know her. Overall we are more than happy that this is now mum's new home.

Plenty of activities. Decoration of corridors and main rooms - looks brighter. Garden needs tidying.

My mother has been in Northwood for the past 18 months. She has dementia. I cannot praise Northwood highly enough. I live two hours away and it gives me real peace of mind to know that she is safe and well looked after. The manager is very welcoming and approachable. Always happy to listen to any concerns. Most of the carers have been there since my mum went into the home. They all know me really well and make me feel part of a big family. They are absolutely amazing. So kind and caring towards my mother ( and me!) . Very professional. Mum really enjoys the home cooking and cake. The home always smells fresh. Lovely garden. I highly recommend Northwood and am so grateful that they had a space for Mum when she needed it.

Buildings staff gardens food quality activities cleanliness are ver good and the manager Annette is exceptional.

I cannot praise Northwood highly enough for the compassionate care they show towards my father. He is treated respectfully and feels he is listened to. The meals are home cooked and eaten together with the other residents. Northwood involve family and friends in the decision making processes and organise superb events of which we are made welcome to join in. The fact that so many staff have been there for many years speaks volumes about the place. Very well run, clean and homely. Thank you.

Birthdays and anniversaries are celebrated in style with wonderful cakes made by the staff! I can't praise the staff enough!

Our Mum lived at Rosehall for 18 months before she passed away. From the moment she arrived the staff supported her to remain as independent as possible. The staff always went the extra mile to maintain her health and spirit and genuinely cared about her and us. Our Mum was always treated with dignity and respect. Rosehall is how a care home should be and we are eternally grateful to them.

I feel at home when I come to visit my mum, the staff go above and beyond. My mum has a great experience living here . There is plenty activities to keep my mums mind working, and it is a very happy place. Management, Staff and residents are always happy and smiling. It is a warm and welcoming place all together. If I could give stars above 5 I really would.

We can't thank the staff and residents enough for welcoming Mum to Rosehall. The staff are kind, patient and build strong relationships with residents. They took the time to understand Mum, her life, things that are important to her, her likes and dislikes, and got to know us as a family too.

Rosehall truly changed our perception of care home life. Mum was engaged in various activities including balloon badminton, making a memory box, enjoyed a tea dance, karaoke, and church service, and had her hair and nails done. She always raved about how great the staff were.

Mum came into the care home as a younger resident. She likes 'a blether' and to feel useful. Staff adapted to her needs, often chatting and having banter throughout the home, and involving her simple tasks to give her purpose.

The care home itself is lovely; bright, welcoming, with beautiful gardens, large bedrooms and a great day room with lots of natural light. Thank you for your kindness and taking great care of Mum.
