Always friendly staff who are eager to help. Care Home is always clean to the highest standards.
Rooms, including bedrooms, are lovely with nice views of the surrounding courtyards and gardens.
Regular activities for residents, including games, quizes, and excursions.

Warm & welcoming atmosphere. The staff are all kind & caring. There is an understanding of individual needs so that the residents are still people, cared for. There is an enhanced understanding of dementia so that those who have it are given time & space to do things their way. My husband is very settled
and comfortable. I am very grateful to Birdston for all that they do for my husband.

Birdston have supported my mum fully in a transition which many families would find challenging.
The staff have listened and responded to her needs and interests.
My mum is healthy, and happy and well looked after, as a consequence our family has peace of mind.

Since my mum was diagnosed with dementia we were recommended to try Birdston & we have certainly not been disappointed. My mum looks forward to going & always says what a wonderful day she's had. She can't always remember what they have done, but staff keep you updated & it's great to see the pictures
on their social media page. All the staff are so lovely and patient with my mum & she is very fond of them. They have a range of different activities & days out to keep them stimulated and engaged. It gives my family great peace of mind on the days that she attends as we know she is being well looked after & well fed.
Would highly recommend

My mum has been in Lillyburn for almost a year, she couldn't walk when she arrived and was incontinent. The deterioration was as a result of spending a lengthy time in an NHS hospital progressively deteriorating. She will be 90 in July and is a different woman, she is now walking, eating, continent
and engaging in activities. The progress was due to the care she received from the day she became a resident in Lillyburn and I am truly grateful.

The carers are very helpful and supportive on arrival at the day care centre . when I pick my wife up she comes out with a smile and tells me she had a lovely time. I am very comfortable leaving my wife in the care of Birdston although she never remembers exactly what activities she took part in or
what she had for lunch she tells me she had a lovely time . It is a comfort to me knowing she is well cared for and I thank the staff for their kindness. Thank you for all that you do ,

Our initial interview with the manager helped us to become aware of how the day care works, which was very helpful as this was all new to us. We were made to feel very welcome. Every single member of staff has been kind and caring. There are many activities to keep my husband stimulated. He always comes
home settled having had a good day even though he is never able to tell me what he did!

Since the day my Mum was welcomed to Lillyburn all of the staff have made so much effort to get to know her and our family. How they remember all our names is tremendous. The nursing care and calls regarding changes in mums health are reassuring. Every time I visit I am impressed with the meals, cleanliness
and that my mum is treated with respect. On a fun side the activities are varied, and family are welcome which has given me more happy memories. Thank you to all the staff that have taken the time to get to know my Mum

I really feel that the staff have got to know and understand my husband in the three months he has been here. They are caring and knowledgeable and always prepared to listen to my questions and concerns.
He is always clean and smart and the staff have tried hard to provide a diet that he enjoys.
I
have great confidence too in the links with the local surgery.
He is always treated with dignity and respect.

We have had an excellent experience here. My mother-in-law has been here for twenty-nine months. The staff are caring and kind. Nothing has been "too much trouble". The home is clean and tidy. There is outside space to sit in when the Scotland weather permits. The activity side has improved as we have
been here.
We have been so impressed by the caring and kind attitude of the staff in this lovely home. I would be happy here if I had to go into 'long-term care'.
