I can't speak highly enough of the care my much loved sister received whilst at Kingsway View. The love & care given to her by her Kingsway View 'family' during her 3+ years there has been exceptional. Everyone is always so welcoming that it makes us feel part of that family too.
Mixed dementia
is a highly challenging illness to deal with at times but management & care staff alike are always cheerful & have done everything they could to make my sister happy, clean & comfortable. It is hard to leave someone you love in the care of others but the last couple of years in particular showed that we made the right choice.
For those wishing to take part there is always something to do. Lots of entertainment & music. Bringing in living creatures is a lovely touch. I never thought that I would see my sister holding a lizard.
Thank you so very much to everyone involved in my sisters care. We are lucky to have known such lovely people.
Reply from Claire Van Wyk, Front of House Manager at Kingsway ViewThank you so much for the amazing review. We are so happy we could help and make such a big difference in your sisters life.

After a traumatic fall which badly affected my mother's mobility and confidence leaving her unable to live independently I selected Kingsway View as the care home that would fulfil her needs. The staff were very welcoming and allowed her to select the room she wanted as well as encouraging her to bring
pictures and ornaments to surround herself with familiar objects to make it feel more like home.
The facilities are excellent with lots of activities and entertainment to break up the day. The food is excellent with my mother's only complaint being there's too much of it. Tea at three on a Wednesday afternoon is a particular delight with homemade sandwiches and cakes served on the best china for both residents and family to enjoy!
Pets are encouraged to visit as well and my mother's dog Oscar is made especially welcome and looks forward to his doggy treats kept at reception.
I know it will never be the same as her home for her, but she is kept safe and well in 5 star luxury
Reply from Claire Van Wyk, Front of House Manager at Kingsway ViewThank you Michael for the amazing review. We truly appreciate it

My aunty has been a resident at Goldwell Manor for the last 9 months. She had been moved twice from care homes because of closure and as you can imagine she just would not settle or mix with other residents. However with much coaching and care given by all the staff who are absolutely amazing she is
joining in everything and that beautiful smile has returned. We cannot thank the manager and all her staff for what they are doing, always a smile and hello from everyone. Goldwell is just an amazing place I would recommend to anyone.
Reply from Eleanor Middleton, Front of House manager at Goldwell ManorThank you so much for your kind words and positive feedback about Goldwell Manor. Mum moved to Goldwell Manor, in June 2025 when the council run home she was in, was repurposed. She has struggled to accept that she needs support, from having carers in her home and then needing residential care. She is a fiercely independent lady and it really upset her, that she needed help.
The
first few weeks at Goldwell were rocky, she wouldnt eat or socialise, but then she moved to a different floor which suited her needs better. She then began to flourish and settle. She has improved so much, its lovely to see. Goldwell Manor has a lovely atmosphere, is spotlessly clean and is decorated beautifully. Nothing is too much trouble and the staff from ALL departments, seem to genuinely care about their residents. Everyone is approachable. I now feel that I can relax a little, knowing that my Mum is settled and joining in. The place is credit to manager Karen and her team. Based on my experience, I recommend Goldwell Manor to anyone seeking residential care for their loved one
Reply from Eleanor Middleton, Front of House manager at Goldwell ManorThank you for your glowing review of us here at Goldwell Manor. We always strive to provide the very best in person-centred care, so it truly means a great deal to receive such positive feedback. It is always lovely to see your mum, whether she is sitting in the hallway enjoying a cuppa or in the reception area greeting us with her lovely smile. It's wonderful to see how well she has settled in on her chosen floor. We will certainly pass your kind comments on to the team, who will be delighted to hear them

Goldwell Manor is a caring and safe community. The friendly staff are long term and you see the same faces daily. I have seen first hand how kind and respectful they are towards my mother in law. When you visit you are included in the Goldwell family and you are made to feel very welcome.
My mother
in law has established a new routine and is generally comfortable and happy. I'm impressed with how much effort is made to get to know my mother in law. Communication from the home is appropriate and immediate when it needs to be.
It was a difficult decision to put my mother in law in a home but since the first day we have never questioned that decision.
One piece of advice - label the clothes!!

We tried so hard to care at home for our 91 year old mum but her our deteriorating health meant we had to find an assisted living alternative to meet all our needs. Mum suggested respite care for 3 weeks which after a professional and thorough assessment resulted in her move to Goldwell Manor which
we knew had an excellent reputation. Within 5 days there, mum still missed her own home of over 60 years but she is sensible and told us that she would be happy to stay permanently in her 'new home', all the carers and staff being very helpful and available when she required care. The home is wonderful, the environment is stunning, lots of activities and facilities of the person centred care, in my opinion, could not be better!
Reply from Eleanor Middleton, Front of House manager at Goldwell ManorThank you for your lovely review for Goldwell Manor. It is a pleasure to care for mum and was wonderful to hear that she wanted to stay with us permanently. I will certainly pass on your amazing comments to our team.

My mother has been at Kingsway View since Feb 2025. her care has been wonderful, she said she was content and happy there. The staff are friendly and caring. They go above and beyond in making my mum comfortable. My only drawback is sending a patient with DEMENTIA to A&E without someone to answer all
the questions the staff there need to know. All the care homes need to improve this area of patient care.

We are delighted with the care my mum receives from the staff at Kingsway View. The home is lovely, very clean and modern, and there is always plenty for the residents to do if they want to get involved. But the main plus for me is the dignity and respect that the staff show to the residents. I know
the care sector as a whole is struggling to find good people, but without exception the staff at Kingsway View are all pleasant in what can often be very demanding circumstances.
Reply from claire Van Wyk, Front of House Manager at Kingsway ViewThank you for your kind words, I will be sure to pass this onto all the staff.

I cannot speak highly enough of Kingsway View, where my mum spent the last 6 months of her life struggling with advanced dementia. She was always treated kindly, with dignity, and her individual needs were taken into account. The staff are incredible in the way they all care for residents and remain
cheerful and positive. I wish I had found Kingway View sooner, and I would highly recommend it.

Extremely caring staff, with positive interactions with all residents. As a family member who doesn't live locally, I am fully informed of all circumstances ongoing and have built up excellent relationships with reception who keeps my fully informed, carers, seniors & management alike. Nothing is too
much trouble. My aunt is treated with dignity and is a "family member" to all staff, which is incredibly comforting.
I cannot thank you enough.

My dad was starting to struggle at home with looking after himself, we discussed carers & residence homes; however, he was very reluctant. We heard about Kindway View from a friend and made an appointment, It is a very nice nursing establishment with very friendly staff, a lovely room, and lots to do.
My dad at first was uneasy about the change to his lifestyle however, he has settled in and is very well looked after. We can now relax, knowing he is in excellent hands.

After much soul searching, we made the decision that mum needed more care than we could provide for her. Just over a year ago, with extensive research, we moved her into Goldwell Manor and from that moment, we relaxed in the knowledge that she was being cared for by staff who always put residents'
needs first and foremost. From reception to maintenance and floor staff, we are always met with smiles and positivity, and mum is always clean, happy and cared for.
There are always a good range of activities (again run by caring and dedicated staff members) which suits mum as she is always one for being around people and joining in with whatever is going on. Her room is beautifully kept and whenever we visit, there is always a buzz around the building, and it is obvious that the high standards we see aren't achieved without a lot of hard work.
I would not hesitate to recommend Goldwell Manor to anyone looking for peace of mind.
