My husband has been at Lakelands Lodge now for 12 months after a few weeks he settled down and now feels part of Lakelands family.
The staff are very caring + nothing's too much trouble for them.
The events coordinator team are excellent in organising parties-sing a long - entertainment by outside
groups. Always something to keep the residents entertained. I would recommend Lakelands Lodge to friends.

Mum has been made welcome and comfortable from day 1, all staff have made her transition very easy and she loves being here, which has really surprised all of us. Staff are always available to ask if any questions regarding mums welfare.
Mum loves all the activities this makes her time living here
all the more special.

We came to visit and Lakelands Lodges had arranged a birthday party for our resident.
We all sat outside and had a lovely time as the residents had a nice sing-a-long . A cake was made and our resident had a lovely time.

My Mum couldn't have spent her final days in the most amazing place with the love and care from all staff. They are amazing people whom clearly are committed to make Windmill Lodge a 5 star care home and clearly deserve the 5 star rating. From the management team to the nursing staff nothing was ever
a problem that they couldn't sort out. Bright has been amazing whom nursed Mum mainly and always had time to chat and discuss her medical issues. The Deputy manager has been a rock to me and with her experience of nursing terminally ill people in her past roles to now in a management role she is a definite asset to the future and Windmill Lodge.

The home is lovely and staff go above and beyond. Dad is very settled and happy which makes everyone happy as originally dad didn't like the idea of going in a home. The rooms are homely and all the food excellent. The entertainment has been fantastic getting him involved. A big thank you to management

In the beginning, my aunt wasn't too sure as she was living independently and found it hard to accept help from strangers. As time went by she became to realise the staff were here to help her and make her stronger, and they certainly did. The once strangers have become family. Not only to Aunty, also
to her extended family. Brilliant staff, unfortunately I can't use names, however, they will know who they are.

The care that my sister received whilst being really poorly with a badly infected leg. Whoever I put my concern to was very 'up' with the situation. Always helpful to me with many of my questions.
I much appreciate all the care that she received by the 2nd floor staff.

Windmill Lodge Residential. This is run as a business to make profit, that is the bottom line. The management is uncaring and unprofessional. When you see behind the facade, it's a different story. The only positive we can mention are the carers who are employed. Would not recommend this place. The

My mum isn't well at the moment, her care has been wonderful and my sister and I have been visiting daily for hours and have been visiting daily for hours and have been looked after by the staff. Well done to all of them, such lovely caring people.

After a very difficult 9 months at the start of 2024 with a lot of staff turnover and poor communication the lodge manager and the team are making great improvements and Mum is much more involved in activities which is so important for her. Please keep up all the good work.

When the resident arrived from hospital he was unable to communicate and feel himself and I was preparing for the worst. After a short time is able to speak again, eat independently and has a renewed vigour. This has been the result lf the dedication and professionalism of the staff, their excellent
care and dedication. I cannot thank them enough for their hard work.

This day, at lunchtime, has been one of the best experiences I've had with my brother since Windmill Lodge opened last year. Residents were in the lounge having lunch and enjoying the social aspect of eating with other people. The chef's assistant helped to serve lunch which was good because it relieved
the care staff whilst they helped some residents. This needs to happen more often as it makes the place feel more like home for them all.
