Booked relative in for a Respite for 2 weeks. Noel the Manager, with very little notice period, made him self available to carry out an assessment and subsequent entry into the Care home.
Nothing was too much trouble, all the staff were supportive at all times, encouraging and motivating when required.
Always plenty of staff, confident that our relative would receive the correct attention.
We could always get updates on our relative from the staff, which were concise and detailed.
Pleased to confirm although the building is old, well used, it performs to the best of its ability. Importantly, for our relative and ourselves, no bad smells in any of the areas.

The care that my mother received at Ashtonleigh was amazing. The staff were very professional but also so caring and loving.
The time that my mother was in the home was not easy to start with but as she and we got used to her being there she became happier and quite content. My father and I consider
the staff to be angels who have hearts of gold.

After coming out of hospital, my family felt that going straight home, was not an option. So we decided a six week respite at a care home would be the right course of action to take. We decided that Ashton Leigh would be the right choice. My daughter and son-in-law went to visit, and was met by the
manager who was very quick to make them welcome, and gave them a guided tour, frequently asking them if they had any questions.
After the visit, they spoke to me and said, we have found you a care home for your respite.
When I arrived, the staff made me feel very welcome and encouraged to join in with the activities on offer. To which I have enjoyed immensely. I have also made several friends, which has made my stay even more enjoyable.
Week on week my family noticed my confidence returning, and getting back to my old self.
I would like to thank the staff for the way I have been looked after, and the care I have received. I would not hesitate to recommend Ashtonleigh to any family and friends.
Reply from Noel Ravela, Manager at AshtonleighDear Pauline, Thank you so much for your kind words! I will be sure to share your feedback with the entire team.

My 98-year-old mother-in-law has only been in Ashtonleigh for just over 6 weeks, but she says she's happier than she's been in a long time. She sees so many more people (carers, staff, etc.) than when living alone, and more importantly, now feels safe! Despite her age, she still has all her mental facilities,
it was just her frailty and another serious fall that resulted in her going into care. Ashtonleigh has an extensive activities calendar, including exercises, baking, crafting and many more, including singing and a visiting therapy dog.
All the staff are friendly and welcoming. Always smiling, I was dreading 'mum' going into Ashtonleigh, but I needn't have worried. Knowing she is well looked after has taken the weight off my mind. Thank you.

My uncle was admitted to the nursing home, but it was only for a few days unfortunately. But his time there was lovely. He was cared for so well and had a wonderful team of nurses looking after him. They were all very caring and so lovely, not just to my uncle, but to us all. They couldn't do enough
for us, very attentive and helpful, and so supportive at a very sad time. We as a family just wish he had come to stay with you back last year when he had to go to a home, 100% things would have been so different; he would still be with us today.

Dad was transferred here for palliative care. The staff were beyond amazing, the care they provided and showed dad was exceptional from day 1. Everyone knew Dad's needs, especially as they changed along his final journey. I cannot fault them in any way. Plenty of staff on duty at all times, friendly,
caring, helpful. All with a smile. 100% recommend Aston House - I have viewed a lot of homes, which are disgraceful. Well done to all at Ashton House.

Our relative has been at Ashton Grange about 3 months now. There has been a very positive change for the better since then. They appear much happier in themselves and with the care that they have received from the staff. They have been engaged in a number of activities that are laid on for them on a
day-by-day basis. The staff appear to be very patient with the residents, and we are always made to feel welcome when we visit.

The whole team at Ashton Grange have just made such an unexpected effort to ensure my mother had a wonderful birthday in their care. They went above and beyond to make her feel special on her day, from decorating her room, ensuring she looked especially pretty ( for all the photos ) and making sure
that the family had time with her and her care team which included the most wonderful birthday cake for the celebration.
Mum has only been in the care home for 3 months, she is enjoying the company and care, during a time when she has felt extremely disoriented due to the change in her circumstances.
I must say a big thank you, for all the photos I received of Mum enjoying the activities.

We moved Mum here due to her previous carehome not giving her the individually tailored care she needed which resulted in Mum becoming more and more isolated, frightened and becoming aggressive as a result. The staff at Ashton Grange are wonderful and quickly recognised what Mum needed and how to approach
her. She is now very settled, seems much happier and we know she is safe. Communication is excellent here and the management are keen to work with families to find out what works best for their loved one both in the care of them and to tailor activities to suit. The staff appear to work well as a team and provide a family atmosphere. So pleased we found them!

I just want to say a massive thanks for giving my father in his last month of life such an lovely place with amazing staff who not only looked after him but also us, constantly checking if we were OK asking if we wanted refreshments of seats every time we was there, but also even saying hi or good morning
as well just being nice on a human touch.

A special praise to a few I want to mention

1) The 2 reception staff, a big smile every time we visited, profession but compassionate as well and could not do enough to help with anything we needed, a real credit to your company
2) Deepak the head nurse so approachable a genuine nice person who again always seemed to be around when we needed including today the day after my father sadly passed away, a real credit to your company

All in all a lovely place who I would highly recommend.

My husband has only been in the home for a few weeks and I was worried he would not settle down. However, due to the care provided and friendliness of the staff I did not need to worry.
The only comment I have is that I would prefer dinner to be more substantial than sandwiches and soup.

Ashton House provided excellent care for Dad for the brief last 6 weeks of his life. Every staff member was kind and courteous with us and dad.
He was looked after extremely well, with his personal care and feeding him good quality meals.
