My uncle came to live here following an extended hospital stay in February 2025. When discharged from hospital he was in very poor health and spirits, thin depressed and suffering from a chest infection that the hospital had failed to manage. He has now been living at Offington Park for 4 months he
is healthy and happy and looks so much better. He receives 1st class care from the doctor who attends the home on a regular basis, the physio who gets him doing his exercises the staff who constantly pop in to say hello, his foot care, his haircuts and his nails are all carried out on a regular basis and the manager is always available if you have any queries. I am extremely happy with the level of care and service here. I can now relax knowing that my uncle is safe, happy, no longer lonely and well cared fo, after years of worrying about him, as he lived alone since his wife's passing 1.5 hours away from me.

Our father entered Offington Park in October 2024 and as soon as we arrived the atmosphere in the care home was warm and friendly - we were made to feel very welcome from the outset which is testament to the entire care home team who have proved themselves to our family to be very professional, kind,
sensitive, caring and patient. They have all taken the time to get to know our father and make him feel at home treating him with dignity, giving him encouragement, independence and privacy when needed and most importantly keeping him safe while ensuring that his needs are met. The staff show a high level of understanding of dementia and are experts in diffusing any challenging situation that may arise. With activities each day, residents birthday celebrations and parties for the residents families to enjoy plus good homemade food, great cakes and a nice outdoor space to enjoy the sunshine we would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone looking for care for their loved one.

Despite efforts to look after our mother at home after she returned from hospital showing signs of advanced dementia, it soon became obvious that the amount of care she required was beyond anything we could provide & led us to seek residential care for her.

We visited numerous homes locally & happily

found Offington Park. We were given a tour, shown all available rooms & had all our questions answered. The difference in care, accommodation & general atmosphere between previous homes we had seen & that clearly on display at Offington was like night & day, prompting us to register my mother immediately.

Since that day we have experienced nothing but a friendly, professional, caring environment that we are happy for our mother to be part of & which extends to the whole family during our visits.

Offington Park deserves plentiful recognition for the first class service they offer and we are grateful for the care our mother is receiving.

Being from a family with a majority working in care, myself included, we were incredibly lucky to find this home for my mum.
We spoke with the manager and explained our needs for mum. The manager made us all feel very welcome, with a cup of tea. She explained how everything works and the financial
aspect.
The manager is a new manager and from the times we have spoken I can honestly say that she is so lovely, very informative and considerate.
The home is going through some refurbishment, so does at the moment look a little untidy, but if you are able to look pass that you can see a really lovely little home
(about 23 residents I believe)
Mum has been there about 5 weeks now and she tells me that every member of staff are lovely too, not a normal response for mum.
I cannot speak highly enough for this little home and I want to thank all the staff for looking after mum so well

My Dad has been at Offington Park Rest Home for 2 and a half years. He has dementia, but has been well looked after by all the staff. In January 2024 Dad had a stroke and lost the mobility in his right side so is now wheelchair bound. The staff have adapted to this so well. We are very lucky that
his room has a hoist which enables him to be lifted from bed to wheelchair and back at the end of the day so that he can enjoy activities in the lounge with the other residents and not feel stuck in his room the whole time. I think Dad is happy there, and I feel that he is safe and well cared for.

My father has settled in very well in this home, much quicker and better than I expected.. The staff are excellent and have been very responsive to any queries that we have had, and very welcoming. He enjoys the company of the staff and residents. Also the entertainment provided - particularly the musician
who pays guitar/violin and sings. The home is very clean and the garden sheltered and well maintained. We are very satisfied.

My Mum was a resident at Offington Park for 2 1/2 years. I looked into moving her closer to us, but I was reluctant to take her away from the superb care she got there. The staff are so caring and committed: they went over and above for Mum. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Offington Park - particularly
for dementia care. I can never thank the staff enough for making my Mum feel safe, secure and cared-for in her final years.

I consider Sunhill Court to be an excellent, caring home, dealing with vulnerable often challenging people. The environment is spacious, the staff hardworking and my mother is treated with patience and dignity while having a comfortable room, painted to her individual taste. I am able to visit/take
her out freely, while the manager is receptive and supportive. The lounge has a glorious view, which my mother is able to appreciate with her good sight. I only wish access to the garden was easier for her so she could breathe fresh air more regularly, though the staff do their best to give her access to the outside, as do I.

My brother, who has learning difficulties, has been in the care system for most of his adult life. He was placed in Sunhill after the specialist home where he had been living for 19 years was due to close. He had been diagnosed with dementia and also has complex medical needs. Both his previous long-term
carers and I were worried about how he would deal with the transition and we were all amazed at how quickly he settled in.
Since he arrived he has been treated with kindness, gentleness and respect.
On my first visit, I was very moved to see how much care had been taken to arrange his bedroom with his beloved toy car collection and his Only Fools and Horses memorabilia.
A lot of work is being undertaken to improve the facilities in the building which is the only reason why I have not yet awarded five stars.
I live overseas and am only able to visit on an irregular basis. It has been a great relief to know that he is happy and cared for and the staff seem to be genuinely fond of him.

My wife has lived with the community at Sunhill Court for a little over a year. She has settled in well if difficult at first. The staff and management have been incredible, showing warmth, patience and dedication in supporting her with her dementia affliction. Nothing appears to be too demanding for
the staff who always speak to her with total consideration.
When I visit I am always made to feel welcome by every member of staff, who are there supporting totally the needs of every resident.
I would recommend Sunhill Court to anybody requiring care and support.

My Mum has lived at Sunhill Court for over a year now and from the beginning, the staff and management have done all they can to help my Mum settle in. Incredibly friendly and full of laughter environment, nothing is too much trouble. Food, drinks and chairs are organized as soon as you walk through
the door to visit, always getting updates on how my Mum has been and any concerns. It doesn't matter who answers the door, they always know exactly where my Mum is and where to find her in the building!
Loads of entertainment for the residents on a daily basis which family and friends are always welcome to join in. The staff and management are more like family to Mum and myself, very kind and approachable - any requests are dealt with straight away and with a smile. I would highly recommend Sunhill Court Nursing Home for your loved ones' care and support.

I recently spent a few months visiting my dad at Sunhill Court. My experience was very positive. The manager and staff go above and beyond to care for my dad and all the residents. They are compassionate, engaging, patient, and always have a smile. The rooms are light, spacious, and clean, and the gardens
are wonderful. We had lovely picnics in the garden, and each time we were provided with tea and biscuits. The residents are encouraged to spend time in the lounge area where there are various activities, and some receive individual care according to their needs. What struck me most was the consistent compassion and warmth of all the staff, even in trying moments. This was evident as I visited often. The manager was always available to chat, and it is clear that her approachable nature is genuine. I interacted with many of the staff members, and I was thoroughly impressed with each one. Sunhill provides exceptional care and a warm, friendly environment for its residents.

Having been in the unfortunate position of requiring, within the past year, residential dementia care for two family members, has led me to have firsthand experience of the daily workings of four different homes and Sunhill has been, by far, the most accommodating and genuinely caring of those establishments.
Nothing I have asked for, or my Mother-in-law has required, has ever been the slightest of inconvenience to the home. The level of care given is first class and is testament to the quality of the caring staff selected for this difficult and challenging roll and is an excellent reflection on the management/leadership team. The level of my Mother-in-law's care has provided many extreme situations for the home, all of which have been managed with the utmost professionalism. I can highly recommend Sunhill for residential dementia care.

Friendly staff. My brother is comfortable, lovely gardens - but a great pity we could not use them on the 2 sunny days we visited. Apparently, they were not 'safe', but I feel we two visitors could have taken care of my brother.
Reply from Cassie Wills, Marketing and Wellbeing Manager at Sunhill Court

Thank you for your review. We're pleased to hear your brother is comfortable with us as that is our aim, to ensure our residents feel as at home as possible. We're sorry to hear about your experience when attempting to access the gardens. We have now rectified the access issues and as always we are encouraging our residents to make use of the outside space, with residents also being escorted to the local coffee shop for a break from the home, and also to meet family at times. We are sorry to hear that this wasn't made clear at the time of your visit, and we hope your next visit can include some much-needed fresh air outside of the home.
