We will never be able to thank everyone at St. Benedicts for what they have done for our mum, and all of us. You have nurtured, loved and cared for Mum, showing her dignity, kindness and respect. You have become a 'family' for our Mum and us. When we have needed guidance and support your staff have
always been there. During the last few days of our precious Mum's life your nursing home has become our home. You have not just loved and cared for Mum but for all of us too and for this we will always be grateful.
Reply from Philip White, Owner at St Benedicts Nursing Home LtdThank you for writing such a lovely review. We aim to not only care for our residents too and I'm so pleased to read we did exactly this with your family.

The care everyone has given our lovely Mum has been incredible. All members of staff are caring, kind and respectful. Not only has our mum been nurtured, but so has our dad during his visits to Mum. The staff have taken time to get to know them both which has meant the world. In the last days of Mum's
life the home has become our home and the staff our extended family. We have no words to explain how grateful and thankful we are for all of your love.
Reply from Philip White, Owner at St Benedicts Nursing Home LtdThank you so much for your lovely review. It was a pleasure to care for your Mum.

Would highly recommend St Benedicts Nursing Home in Glastonbury to everybody. My dad Robbie was only with them from October to when he sadly passed away in December as it was end of life care. From the moment my dad arrived the kindness, compassion and care from all the nurses, carers and management
was truly outstanding. They truly go above and beyond to not only provide the most top level of care for there residents but also have so much care and support for family members too. They treat all the residents like there own family members. Have the upmost level of care and a true place for residents to call there home. All the staff deserve the upmost praise and admiration in everything they do here at st benedicts and you will always have a special place in all our hearts and never be forgotten for everything you done.
Reply from Philip White, Owner at St Benedicts Nursing Home LtdThank you for your lovely review. Reading that our "nurses, carers and management was truly outstanding" is fantastic and exactly what we aim to achieve at St Benedicts. Thank you for letting us care for Robbie and knowing that "you will always have a special place in all our hearts and never be forgotten for everything you done" is truly heart warming.

My friends, a married couple had a double room here at the end of their life.
Firstly, the help and information provided by the manager when I first enquired about the placement was so helpful, she went above and beyond. My husband and I had a lovely meeting with her and nothing was too much trouble.
Especially as I didn't know the ropes.
My friends were really happy there, settled in quickly, no pressure to do more than they wanted to. We could visit anytime, the nurses and care staff were excellent and kept me informed regularly. They were all so respectful of my friends wishes in everything, especially their medical care.
I couldn't of wished for them to be in a better place, I was so pleased that they had such wonderful care at the end, I have nothing but praise and respect for the staff here. It was a pleasure to get to know them and we really appreciate all their hard work.
Reply from Philip White, Owner at St Benedicts Nursing Home LtdDear Marnie, Thank you for your review. It's so heart warming to hear our Home Manager Ann went "above and beyond" and that "nothing was too much trouble." It was a pleasure to care for your friends at St Benedicts.

I will be forever grateful for the care given to my late father Anthony, known as Tony. He loved his time there and he got to know all the staff and felt really at home. They were all so lovely to him and treated him with great dignity, kindness and respect. My Dad loved making a joke and enjoyed telling
the staff all about his life and what he'd got up to in his past and had a real connection to some of them. Myself and my family felt very welcomed when visiting and couldn't fault his room, we were allowed to make it feel very homely with his personal belongings. It is with great sadness that I recently lost my Dad as he was loved so very much but we'll always remember St Benedict's with fondness and appreciation for how well my Dad was looked after. I would recommend this care home for anyone looking for their relatives.
Reply from Philip White, Owner at St Benedicts Nursing Home LtdThank you for such a heartfelt review, our staff loved caring for your Dad and we were very sad to lose him. The dignity, care and respect our staff showed makes us all extremely proud!

Mum spent her final 2 1/2 very happy years being looked after by the caring and dedicated staff. Whenever we visited we were warmly welcomed with tea or coffee, in fact we felt like one of the family. There were always plenty of activities plus singalongs, magicians and mums favourite the owl obsession.
We would have no hesitation in recommending St Benedicts Nursing Home Ltd.

My wife has been "a guest" ar the Rectory for nearly six months now and the change in her attitude and outlook has vastly improved compared to her initial reactions. She is relaxed, comfortable and at ease with all the other "guests". The staff, from the manager down, are very caring, involved, friendly
and always eager to put you at ease and treat everyone with respect. The care home itself is clean, and fresh. There are always cleaners around ensuring it is always so. The onsite laundry facility is a boon, taking worry and concern away from me because I know my wife will always be well presented. The catering is of a high standard and there are always refreshments and nibbles available whenever required. The individual, en-suite, accomodation is always well kept, adequately furnished and with a pleasant outlook.
In all, I am pleased that I chose the Rectory Care Home knowing that my wife's dementia is less of a burden to her, me and the family.
Reply from Abbie Foster, Home Manager at The Rectory Care HomeThank you so much for taking the time to leave us such a glowing review. It is an honor to care for your wonderful wife and support the wider family.

My Mum moved to The Rectory 6 months ago. As a family, we were so worried about the transition from own home to care home but with the love, support and knowledge from the team, the transition was seamless. Mum is thriving in the relaxed, home from home environment.
As a family, we are always made
to feel so welcome - part of the family.
We can't thank the team enough for support they have given not only to Mum, but to all of us!

The Rectory Care home has offered such good care to my mum and been so understanding of her dementia needs, which has helped her settle more quickly than i expected.
Every member of the team i have met have been welcoming and supportive on visits and phone conversations.
They keep me informed of mums
wellbeing and nothing is ever too much effort.
The residents all look well cared for and my mum in particular hasn't looked this well for a long time. She is comfortable, her room is always clean lovely and homely and she really enjoys all the food.
The home has a really lovely atmosphere when you spend time there, and some really comfortable communal spaces inside and outdoors in the secure garden.
Activities are offered and residents are encouraged and enabled to join in without pressure.
Overall mum is settled, safe and well looked after in a lovely secure environment with warm caring knowledgeable, professionals, giving me peace of mind, a feeling I haven't had for a very long time.

Since my husband came to St Benedict's, although it's a long way for me to come, I could not be happier with the treatment he has received. The manager and staff are very helpful and considerate, obviously, my husband is borderline dementia and would rather be at home, he appears, on the whole, settled.

My Mum has been at St Cecilia's care home for nearly 3 years now. The staff are always so welcoming, friendly, helpful and supportive. The manager has been so good helping me with getting direct payment sorted for mum, answering any queries I have. She has a good relationship with the staff which is
reflected in the care given and atmosphere in the home.
Mum is really well cared for and treated with dignity and respect. She is included in everything that is happening but takes part only if she wants to be. They respect her wishes but always make sure she is safe and comfortable even if she has chosen to have a lazy day in bed. Mum has a lovely room which she is very happy in and really enjoys the food.
She is as happy as she can be.
Thank you to everyone at Cecilia's.

My wife and I regularly visit my sister at least once a fortnight. Since her arrival nearly two years ago she seems comfortable and settled. The home appears generally well staffed. Staff are helpful and welcoming to us, and caring and attentive to the residents. My sister's room is small but adequate.
The dining room is rather cramped, but there are two lounges where residents can meet visitors. The outdoor space is restricted lacking a green garden and pleasant space to sit. Generally cleanliness appears of a good standard. My sister eats very little but says she enjoys what she has. Overall the home provides a safe environment with kind, supporting staff. Due to her increasing dementia and lack of sight she is reluctant to take part in some of the activities. We are unable to comment on value for money as her charges are met by Somerset Social Servies.
Reply from Abbie Foster, Home Manager at The Rectory Care HomeThank you for taking the time to leave us a review. It's lovely to read that you are always made to feel welcome and that the staff are attentive and caring. We would love to show you the various seating areas we have in the garden during your next visit. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by the amount of space we have considering our central location.

My wife has Parkinson's disease and dementia, she has been at The Rectory since last June. It was an extremely difficult time for us both leading up to then. I am totally happy in knowing she is now getting the kind of care that she needs. She had spent time in other care homes for a week's respite
care but none of them come anywhere near the way she is cared for at The Rectory. She is safe warm and dressed properly. She is treated with respect, dignity and love. I visit regularly and have found the staff to be welcoming and considerate of both our needs. Nothing is too much trouble and I never feel I am being a nuisance or am getting in the way of the care needs of the other residents. I would thoroughly recommend The Rectory to everyone.

The care home staff from all areas are excellent and very compassionate and willing to tailor support for my mum who was admitted back in September 2024 with complex needs.
Nothing is too much trouble for them and they really try to make every resident feel welcome and engaged in very trying circumstances.
The facilities are clean and well-maintained and the standards of care are what you would expect for a loved one. I would thoroughly recommend St Benedicts Nursing Home to anyone who is considering placing someone there.
