After visiting several care homes for my parents, both with dementia, Hillash truly stood out. Since moving in in August, the care has been exceptional. Michelle and the team are absolutely wonderful - kind, consistent, and genuinely caring. It's always the same friendly faces, which makes such a difference.
The
food is fantastic, and families are always invited to join in activities, dog shows, wine-and-cheese nights, fireworks, or to stay for meals - we feel completely included. The new glass extension makes it feel bright and open, never locked in, and the whole place is immaculate with beautiful gardens.
We honestly couldn't have asked for more. Hillash really is the best-kept secret, and the staff deserve huge credit for the wonderful care they give every day.

I couldn't be happier with the care home and the attention my mother receives. She looks brighter and healthier than she has done for a long time. She was also becoming very lonely at home and is now encouraged to join in the various activities on offer.
The home itself is very clean, bright and airy,
with beautiful grounds and views across rolling countryside. Additions to the building have provided modern rooms, outside secure patio space, and a beautiful new dining room and reading area.

My mother was extremely well looked after for three and a half years. From management to carers, there was always a sense of unfussiness but real care and kindness. I can not thank Birchams Grange enough for the professionalism and sensitivity that the staff showed in the last few days, and last hours,
of Mum's life. A wonderful place and a wonderful team of people.

I highly recommend the Old Rectory as from the moment I first visited I knew it was the right home for my Mum. The staff impressed me immediately with their warmth and professionalism and this has been consistently held true for my Mum's care over the last four years. They treat my Mum with dignity
and respect, and I genuinely feel that they deeply care for her - this peace of mind is priceless for me. The food is varied and excellent - especially the cakes! My Mum enjoys the wide range of activities and particularly relishes the singing and dancing. There is a mix of social areas and quiet spaces, which provides a nice choice, depending on how she is feeling. The building itself is beautifully maintained, very clean, bright and welcoming. The garden is always accessible, and when it's warm Mum enjoys sitting and listening to the birds. The bedrooms are well-appointed, and Mum took her most treasured photos and ornaments with her, which made it feel homely. A really lovely home.

My Mum spent 5 months in Hill Ash House earlier this year & then her final 9 days during August. The place is beautiful, clean & modern like a posh hotel & the views of the countryside are so pretty.

Hill Ash is comfortable for people visiting their loved ones too. The care Mum received was wonderful

she was so happy there. We will always have fond memories of Hill Ash & so thankful that Mum was looked after by them.

I visited an old friend of mine, currently a resident at Hill Ash House. I was very impressed with the Home ,the Gardens and setting, with its lovely country views.
The Staff were very welcoming and offered refreshments. We sat in the Pavilion which was mainly glass and had beautiful views onto a lake
and across fields and we had tea and home made cake.
I was also told about upcoming events being held and invited to come along. There is a Coffee Shop where Afternoon Tea is served on certain days and other outside sitting areas to enjoy different views.
My friend told me about the various activities she joins in with, such as Gardening Club, Book Club, Baking and Keep Fit.
They also have a variety of visiting entertainment that she can choose to join in with if she wishes.
I felt the Home had a friendly atmosphere and her room and the Communal Areas were beautiful kept and very fresh and clean.
She is extremely happy there and feels at home.

My mother was very poorly when she came to Birchams Grange from hospital. The care & attention she has received whilst being there has been first-class. She is now eating & drinking more, has gained weight and is so much happier. She has become more sociable and is returning back to good health. At
90 years old, her cheeky self has returned and it's a huge relief to know she is loved, cared for and thriving. All down to the wonderful team at Birchams Grange.

My family member has been a resident at Birchams Grange for several years and has been very well looked after. During my visits, the atmosphere in the home has always been a busy, friendly and caring place. It is always nice and warm in Winter with a high standard of décor, very clean and fresh.
The
meals are tasty, and there is a well-cared-for garden with an enclosed patio including outdoor furniture to sit out, enjoying good weather with coffee and cake or afternoon tea.
I have always been impressed with the standard of healthcare at Birchams Grange, keeping me well informed, and the management of the recent Covid outbreak was excellent. The staff are amazing, very kind, friendly, and happy to chat, although they are always busy! Trips out are arranged, eg. to see the beautiful bluebells flowering on the slopes of the hills in Spring or to a meal out locally. It is also possible to walk to the nearby woodland café for a change of scenery.
