Care Homes Owned by Spring Meadows Care Ltd in Swansea

I visit Manorleigh Spring Meadows Care Home very regularly (every four to six weeks) in my capacity as an RPR (Relevant Persons Representative) and IMCA. I have four residents I visit there and each one of them is very happy and settled. They all consider Manorleigh to be their home and this is largely due to the excellent manager, deputy manager and staff who go above and beyond to ensure that all their residents have the best life they can have. I often appear at their door without having made a prior appointment and am always welcomed and made to feel comfortable. The home has a lovely atmosphere, warm and welcoming and it is very clear the staff care a great deal about the residents they care for. I always enjoy my visits to this home, it is like visiting one big, happy family. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Manorleigh to my own family members as I know from experience that they would be in very safe hands.

Always feel welcome when I arrive. Friend is always clean, ie clothing and teeth. Hair is groomed. When speaking to my friends, they happy and talkative. They love the food as it is well prepared. They look forward to dry sunny days and being in the garden. The staff will give time to stop and chat to them and me. They have accommodated requests such as putting friends in quiet room. This week I arrived and the communal room was buzzing with residents and the tv was on at a level that allowed residents to listen but those wanting a chat didn’t have to shout. During July the staff arranged for activities such as singing. It is sad when a loved one needs to go into care, but realistically they need that extra care and I’m happier knowing my loved ones are in Fairleigh House.

Our relative went into the home just after lockdown and has thrived with new experiences and new friends.

Lockdown presented many challenges to the home and relatives regarding visiting and contacts etc but we were always able to see or contact our relative so that she was happy as we were.

She has been resident at the home for over two years and we are always happy that she considers Manorleigh as her home and she is content to return after we had taken her out.

She has enjoyed a number of holidays, outside experiences and contact in the community that has helped her development.
