The Abbendon Nursing Home has a very warm and friendly atmosphere. All the staff are careing and friendly. They are easy to get in touch with at any time. Every care is always given to the residents and activities are arranged to make for a pleasant time for all. The health of the residents is paramount.

My dad has lived at Abbendon Nursing Home for almost 2 years. During this time he has had incredible care and is shown dignity by all the staff. They understand his illness and cater for all his needs. Their care and dedication to their residents is admirable and I cannot thank them enough for their
kindness and support for all our family. They allow us as a family to spend quality time with him and we are made welcome whatever time of day we visit.

I visit my mother 3 or 4 times a week so I see most of the day staff. I have nothing but praise for the staff who support my mum. She always looks clean and tidy and although she can't verbally communicate with her carers, it is very obvious by her facial expressions that she has a good relationship
with them. I know how difficult and demanding it can be supporting a person with dementia but the staff remain smiling at all times. A brilliant group of nursing staff, carers and domestic staff. Thank you for all you do for my mum.

My husband spent 12 months at Abbendon Nursing Home before he passed away in July 2024. The staff are amazing and at all times he was treated with kindness, dignity and respect. When he was put on end-of-life care the treatment he received and the kindness he was shown was outstanding. Myself and my
two daughters are very grateful for the kindness and support given to us by the staff at such a sad and difficult time. I would definitely recommend Abbendon Nursing Home.

Abbendon is an excellent nursing home, the standard is exceptional and their care and support are always on hand. The staff are very attentive to both clients and visitors alike. Managment can always be contacted. The client's personal hygiene is a priority.

Staff have always been very friendly and helpful when I visit my wife. The home is very clean and tidy and her room is adequate. The grounds are tidy and it's a pleasure to take the resident into the garden when the weather is pleasant in the summer.

My husband was admitted six months ago from the hospital to Abbendon Nursing Home. I couldn't be more pleased with the care and kindness he receives. He is nursed in bed, and the manager has provided all that he needs to be comfortable. All the staff are friendly and kind. My husband was well cared
for, and the home is clean and tidy with no unpleasant odours. Visitors are always made to feel welcome.

I am confident that my mother is well cared for at all times. The staff are welcoming, friendly and approachable. The home is welcoming, and I can visit at any time. There is always someone to speak to if I have any questions or concerns. My mum is always clean and presentable and has a good relationship
with her carers. She is always supervised by staff. The staff all take an active interest, not just in her care and well-being but also in her life, interests and preferences.

My dad recently passed away at Abbendon care home, he was cared for over a number of years and I always felt he was in safe hands after a previous bad experience at another care home, the staff are hard-working, caring, polite and very patient with everyone, even throughout the difficult covid period,
they had everyone's safety uppermost, and helped us with PPE and forms etc so that we could visit my dad. I would like to thank all the staff we met and who cared for dad, it's not an easy job and both myself and mum appreciated it greatly. I would recommend this care home and send best wishes for Christmas to the staff over the holiday period. Many thanks.

My uncle had a short stay at Abbendon House after being discharged from hospital and was treated very well by a very caring team. Some of the best care he has received since entering the care system over 12 months ago. Staff spend a lot of time with residents, are very patient and caring, and quick
to react to residents' demands.

My father has been a resident at Abbendon Nursing Home since December 2020. Prior to becoming a full-time resident, he had stayed at the Abbendon on several occasions for respite care. My family and I knew that the Abbendon was our only choice when he needed full-time residential nursing care. The Abbendon
is a smaller care home that has a very homely feel and the staff are welcoming, kind and caring. We are extremely satisfied with the care and dignity which my father is receiving.

My mother-in-law and now my father have been cared for in Abbendon care home. I can't thank them enough; the two ladies run this home wonderfully. I have full confidence in them and would highly recommend this care home to anyone needing a high level of care for their loved ones. They are all wonderful

My husband got dementia delirium at home. Then he was in hospital for 8 weeks and came to Abbendon for assessment. He is very happy here and would have preferred to stay. The staff are excellent. The atmosphere at Abbendon is really good. I feel always well here. If I would become ill with Dementia
- I would like to go in this home.

This was my very first experience of life at a care home. I was treated so well with all of the staff, this was due to the fact that matron had taken the time to give first-class training to her staff, if my illness should return in the future, I would be privileged to return to Abbendon.
