My husband came to Vale Court for end of life care after a traumatic 14 weeks in hospital. The moment I stepped into Vale Court both Rob & I felt relief. The atmosphere & care for both of us was second to none. Rob was treated with great care & dignity, even after death. I feel that I was treated as a person, not an afterthought. You made Robs last days comfortable, peaceful, safe & caring. Everyone was kind & caring. Thank you so much.

What an amazing home, staff are always laughing and smiling, they treat dad with such love, respect and dignity, he is washed, shaved + dressed by the lovely caring staff who are so patient. The nurses keep me updated and are wonderful, everyone is so helpful and nothing is a problem. The rooms are lovely with ensuite and always clean and smell nice. The food looked amazing and plenty of snacks during the day. The new garden is so lovely just needs some coverings on for hot days ie umbrellas, parasouls. My only problem is on a Sunday standing in the lobby pressing the bell and no-one around to open the door.

We wanted to move my stepfather from the care home he was previously in and from the moment I visited Vale Court I was impressed most of all by the kindness of the staff and the quality of care offered. The communal rooms are light and airy and my stepfather had a lovely room overlooking the garden. He was always treated with compassion and respect and every single time I visited, I too I was always given a warm welcome. It's a very difficult decision to find a home that you feel confident that your loved one will be cared for in the manner you would want and I never had any doubts about the quality of care given. I cannot thank every member of staff enough for everything they have done for my stepfather.

I can only say we are glad Mum is happy safe and well looked after and we would recommend Trewan to anyone needing this service.

Rooms are always clean and tidy . There has been a change of managers just lately but this has not impacted on the residents.

I have always felt happy with my Mums care and the staff look after the residents well. My Mum is settled here and has lots of visitor's. I have peace of mind knowing that my Mum is in a safe environment. The Manager and Staff are approachable and are willing to help with any queries.

Our father stayed at Vale Court Care Home from September 2024 - June 2025. Throughout that time, the staff were always patient, kind and responsive. I cannot fault the care that was provided. The carers also always took time to check if visitors were okay, offering drinks, moving chairs etc. The room was a good size and always clean. Dad stayed on the dementia unit and the nursing unit. I would have no hesitation in recommending Vale Court.

Excellent care home with staff displaying excellent service. Staff were extremely courteous actions. I would highly recommend this care home. My wife was treated with loving care and attention at all times.

Our thanks as a family go to the management and staff at Vale Court for their dedication and care for all the residents but particularly our Mother.

My mother has been a resident since being admitted in April 2020 during the Covid crisis. It was an incredibly difficult time and yet Vale Court was there when we needed them. I cannot fault the staff that I have met in the last 4 years who have looked after and cared for my mother. I cannot recommend them higher. Good people.

I'm 90% happy with the care that my Dad receives although there are some grey areas which need addressing. The staff are very caring and respect the residents. My Dad is very happy and content. I can rest easy knowing that he is safe and looked after.

We are assured if any deterioration in health we will be contacted by the nursing staff.

My mother came to reside at Vale Court straight from hospital. Her room is clean and spacious and also has an en-suite she has a Television in her lovely room, she is well cared for the staff are friendly and caring and have a good understanding, and the food is home-cooked as a family we are reassured that our mum is safe. Vale Court is homely they have a good team of staff who all work well and hard. I would recommend Vale Court my mum is happy and content thank you to all the staff who are caring for our mum.

Mum arrived at Trewan House a few years ago after receiving poor care in other nearby establishments. She quickly put on weight and became far more ambulant with support. The staff have always been kind and caring with Mum, as well as with me, which is so important as I live so far away. I could not fault any aspect of the service provided at Trewan House.

Excellent care for my grandparents. They are well looked after, kept very clean and are doing really well. They are both happy here and can see how much better they are from coming here. Their mobility is also a lot better since becoming a resident.

It is a happy place, the home is clean and comfortable. The food is excellent, the home is well-run and very organised and the residents are well looked after. The activity coordinator is excellent and has lots of new ideas.

Staff are committed and have the needs of the residents as a priority. Meeting the needs of a disparity of residents, in terms of age, gender and risk, is hard work and no doubt this home would benefit from extra staffing resources and more robust support from the local authority. Despite this, the team makes every effort to support the needs of every resident. I think excellence ratings are unhelpful as this gives the impression that there is no need for improvement. In every field within the caring professions, there is always room for improvement.

The manager and all the staff are very approachable and helpful.

Not that I have had a problem as things seem to be fine. When I take Mum out, she can’t wait to get back. I know she feels secure being there and is always greeted with open arms by carers and management when she returns from being out with family.
