Clothes always washed and clean on , staff are very approachable , and are happy to discuss care with me, food is excellent and served hot , I am very happy with all aspects of care

The staff at the care home take good care of my mother. They are kind, compassionate and always treat her with dignity and respect. Its reassuring to know she is safe, comfortable and so well looked after. I truly appreciate the care and support they provide every day.

Overall Experience

My aunt was resident in this care home from 2022 until her death on 8th June 2026. I used to visit her regulalry and was always impressed with the level of care and attention that she received from ALL of the staff, visit especially from Joy and Christin, who both took a special interest in her and built up a lovely rapport between them and my aunt, and I know that she loved them both. I would thoroughly recommend this establishment to anybody looking for a reputable and efficient care home, with its friendly atmosphere, and caring approach, and will always be grateful that my aunt spent her final days in the care of wonderful people.

Nurses Are Excellent, Very Reassuring + Helpful. Carers Need To Be Told Not To Shout + Argue With Each Other In Front Of Residents Rooms. And Not To Discuss Their Ailments In Front Of Them As Can Cause Them Some Distress. Otherwise All Satisfactory.

Overall Experience
The care I receive is second to none. All the staff are very kind and caring, and the nursing care is excellent; they go above and beyond to support me with my care needs always.
I look forward to the activities which gives me the opportunity to socialise, and our activities organiser is very engaging and makes my day!
The quality of the food is satisfactory, but not always hot when served.

The atmosphere is a friendly one.

The care and compassion shown to my dad at the home, in my opinion, is outstanding. The nursing staff, carers, cooks & cleaners, and admin are always warm, friendly, welcoming & treat my dad with dignity, respect and affection. I have developed a good relationship with all & the kindness shown to residents and family is really appreciated. I have even been invited to join my dad for meals during my visits, very thoughtful. It gives me, my family great comfort & reassurance that my dad is being well cared for in such a supportive environment. Thank you all for your dedication, empathy and genuine kindness.

My mum, Mohinder, is in care at the Hayes Cottage. We have found there are many activities for the elderly, something for them to do every day. All the staff are very helpful and friendly, and mum finds it easy to get on with everyone and enjoys chatting to people here.

I was very pleased that Hayes Cottage Nursing Home was able to receive my mother at short notice, as she was being discharged from hospital. My mum appears to be happy in her new environment, which is the object of the experience. She finds both the care and the food to be very good. The staff are very friendly and conscientious.

My mother was transferred to the home from the hospital. She has been here for 2 weeks, and the staff has been excellent. The care they have given to my mother is excellent. She liked it here and did not want to come home. Thank you.
