Care Homes Owned by People First Care Ltd in Northumberland

After 2 months my husband has started to settle into this lovely care home. I am so impressed with the care and support both of us have received. The carers are fantastic, treating my husband with care, dignity and patience even though he can be very difficult. They have gone over and beyond to help him and me through this difficult transition. The staff always make me feel welcome with cheery smiles, comforting words and answer any queries. It is such a comfort to know my husband is in good hands, as Alzheimer's is a cruel disease.

My Grandma has been here 3 years. It's always a pleasure to visit her. We are made to feel very welcome and we enjoy hearing about the activities she has been up to. We also enjoy the regular updates on the Rennington social media page. Thank you to all the staff.

Mam had the privilege to spend the last 15 months of her life at Wooler. The home has charm and character and is set in grounds that match the home. There is plenty of area for small walks and seats to sit on. There is a nice conservatory to sit in and they have a nice sun house to sit in when the weather is fine. The entire staff are so friendly and dedicated to the welfare of the residents, nothing but praise for all of them. It was reassuring to know that, although mam had Alzheimer's she had the best care while she was a resident and when we visited we always found her to be cheerful.

The entertainments manager is hilarious and imaginative and really makes a difference to the interaction and quality of life of both the residents and their visitors. The care staff are meticulous and prompt in their care which is always given respectfully with thought to the resident's wishes and privacy. Each carer invests a great deal of empathy and love for all of the residents - no matter how difficult an individual's behaviour may be to deal with. The home is squeaky-clean and smells fresh, since they steam clean everything at night. The food is wholesome with a wide choice available and includes lots of cakes. Guests are always made to feel welcome.
