Mum has been a resident at Signature Ascot for five months and has settled down well. The staff are great and cheerful and visiting is easy - we are made welcome and can help ourselves to drink and food in the bistro.
We spoke to the home a few weeks ago to organise a small party for her friends for
her 100th birthday, a room was set aside for her, decorated beautifully and all the food ordered was great. Mum has mobility problems but is still mentally 'with it'.

How do we even begin to say thank you for supporting Mum in her final precious days? The relief to be able to transfer from hospital directly to a 4-week stay was huge - knowing that the facilities, experienced care and support would give Mum what she needed and us the relief and time to work out what
came next was invaluable.
We can scarcely believe she was with you for such a short time in the end, having only just signed the paperwork to extend Mum's stay before things turned a difficult corner. But goodness the impact you made to her comfort and happiness during these weeks was priceless.
The musical performances and warm welcome extended to family and friends meant Mum's final weeks were filled with stimulation, love and dignity. Not to mention the reassurance you gave us.
And particularly in those very last hours and as Mum left - wow, we are completely lost for words. The care, concern, and respect you gave both Mum and us will never be forgotten. Thank you
Reply from Tracy Campbell, Client Liaison Manager at Signature at AscotThank you so much for your beautiful message. We are truly touched by your kind words. It was an absolute privilege to care for your mum and to be part of her journey in those precious final weeks.

Your mum brought such warmth and joy to everyone here she will be remembered with great fondness. Were so glad that we could provide comfort and support to both her and your family during that time, and that our team could make even a small difference when it mattered most.

Please know that your appreciation means the world to us. Sending our deepest condolences and wishing you and your family peace and comfort in the days ahead.

My mum moved to signature to the dementia community and since joining I have felt reassured that all of her health and care needs are being met.
The care team really support her on her dementia journey. The accomodation and her private room are presented lovely and always maintained to exceptional
standards.
The food available covers a large variety and caters to all her needs. She is eating well and happy with portion sizes and menu.
I appreciate the dementia resident forum where I can represent my mum and particularly enjoyed the most recent forum where I was able to attend a dementia immersion session.

The staff are absolutely lovely, there is always a wide range of activities on offer, the nursing care is astute and impeccable, and every aspect of caring for residents is tailored to individual needs, character traits and preferences, as such everyone's ideal lifestyle is supported, whether it includes
going on the bus excursions, helping prep veg for the delicious menus on offer, gardening, or relaxing with a glass of wine or beer in the bar! Relatives are always warmly welcomed and the whole family unit is lovingly supported. The impression is more of a cruise ship environment than a care home. I have never been a fan of placing relatives in care homes at all, but now if it came to it one day I might not mind being placed there myself LOL!
Reply from Maria Reed, Admin at Signature at CavershamThank you very much for your thoughtful and heartwarming review. Mum has now been a resident here for six years and is very happy and settled. She considers it her home and is forever saying it is like living in a five star hotel. In our minds the most important thing for us is that she is safe and happy. This would not be possible without the five star staff thank
you all.

Staff wonderful but sparse in various functions - restaurant, cleaning. Food was often poor Welsh rarebit was one slice on under-toasted white bread with a slice of processed cheese topping a slice of processed ham- the vegetarian option was as above but no ham! The chicken breast had bone in and skin
on impossible for those whose hands didn't work. I complained and asked to see the chef twice, but he failed to appear. They obviously cook chilled food was adequate barely.

Signature care home is beautiful. It feels like a 5 star hotel! The staff are attentive and go above and beyond to help. The carers really care for the residents. The food is great with a wide variety of choices. They also cater for people that are on puréed food or have many allergies. Overall the
home has a great atmosphere and the residents all engage in many different activities. The whole team; physio, activities, maintenance, nurses, care staff, reception, chefs, the general manager and two other staff members are all lovely, caring people who are very knowledgeable in what they do. They all work together and are an amazing team. I couldn't recommend signature enough!

After a nightmare and traumatic 4 month stay in hospital, my 96-year-old father, was discharged into the care of Signature at Caversham. He arrived in a weak and confused mental state with recovery clearly in the balance. The nursing and care staff were absolutely magnificent from day 1 in applying
their medical professionalism, care application and overall monitoring efforts to his precarious health conditions. This required dedication and patience over a 6 month period which saw him gradually restored to a functioning, content and happy individual, showing his natural sense of humour, interest in the world around him and independence of thought. An absolute amazing achievement which impressed everyone who observed this journey - I have no doubt this would not have been possible without the dedication of the wonderful team at Signature at Caversham

Signature at Ascot provided excellent care for my father, who was a resident from August 2024 to June 2025. His dementia meant that he could be quite demanding in his behaviour at home. The staff knew him before his deterioration and always treated him with respect and appreciated his sense of humour.
They were particularly good at staying with him during times when the family were leaving.

I moved into the Caversham Signature nursing home for respite care after a hip operation. Coming here I felt very preveliged to be here with such lovely facilities in the home itself and also the generous pretty garden. As for the staff here at Signature I cannot praise them enough. They all seem so
passionate about their job with nothing bein no trouble when asking for help day and night which to me is so important as you can be so vulnerable after an operation.

My 28 days at Signature Ascot have been ideal for my need for rehab after a partial knee replacement, stomach blockage (6 days in hospital) and a painful wound of my coccyx. I would have found coping alone at home impossible. Here, the comfortable and clean surroundings, the friendly and helpful staff
and the efficient plumbing are greatly appreciated. Best of all, the access to the gym and the supervision by an experienced physiotherapist have been most beneficial.

Mum is much happier content and less stressed then she has been in the last 4 years on her own. And all in 3 weeks! Thank to the excellent support and advice of management and staff we have come through our journey at our own pace. Questions and fears all discussed and sympathetically allayed. Never
felt rushed into our decision but it was definitely the right one.
