The management and staff are very helpful and friendly.
Accommodation is excellent, especially the ensuite facility.
I can’t tell you how happy I am with the care she is now receiving. Her hair which was matted before has been brushed through patiently by one of the workers. She looks well, has put on weight and is very content in being at Westport.
The staff go above and beyond to make her happy and to meet any families requests. It makes a real difference to be a part of a home where the carers really do care.
The home is always organising activities and keeping the residents entertained.
The home is always clean, and I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Westport to any family.
Visiting this home is a delight. The manager is incredible and goes above and beyond and in her absence her deputy steps in her place with the same attitude. That nothing is not important that they do not stop what they are doing to talk to you. I love that this as home from home.

I am very pleased with the care my grandmother receives at Westport, the home has a homely and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are kind and caring, and the manager is also very caring and attentive. They recently did a lovely birthday party for my grandmother which she very much enjoyed.
I really enjoy visiting my brother here. The home is just like going into his home. The staff are so welcoming and have been since he first arrived. I like that there is not a lot of different staff and he knows all of them now.

This care home is extremely helpful and caring in everything they do. I would really recommend, they have gone out of their way many times for my mother and also to help us. I have never had anything but a lovely experience when I have visited this home, and my friend has settled really well; when we didn’t think they would.
I have visited a number of times at different times of the day, and I have always been impressed with how the staff have been engaging with my friend, who at times can not always be the best of people to get on with. I give them so much credit for all the work that they do, looking after, everyone.
I love visiting my friend. It’s not just my friend I look forward to seeing, it’s the rest of the residents I love seeing as well as they’ve have made me and my friend very welcome. I love joining in on the Friday morning activities.
I am very pleased with my grandparent's treatment and care at the home. The staff are great. During the Christmas period, the patients are well looked after with excellent entertainments brought into the home for them. These are well organised and family members are very welcome to attend.
My husband is well looked after and happy at Westport. Staff always friendly, polite and welcoming. My husband likes the food and his diet is catered to. It is never too much trouble to make him whatever he wants when he wants it. The rooms are clean and warm and comfortable. I have peace knowing he is cared for by Westport.

I love coming to the home to visit, as it is such a warm atmosphere, and everybody is so welcoming staff and residents all included. My family member has settled in so well, and I am happy to know that they are in safe hands when I cant visit.

Meet the Team (4)
Originally from Mauritius, Rajiv came to the UK and did a Diploma in Hospitality Management and Guest Relationships in 2004. I joined Excel Care as a Unit Manager in 2015 and managed one whole floor which consisted of people living with Dementia. Rajiv was well-positioned to meet the challenging needs of people living with Dementia and built empathetic relationships with the patients. In 2019, Rajiv was promoted to Support Operation Manager for the same company which required a high level of delegation and people management. In June 2023 I was promoted to be a home manager for Westport Care Home.
Lekshmi was a nurse in a native place in Kerala India. Lekshmi came to the UK in 2008 and completed her NVQ level 4 in Health and Social care. Lekshmi started her career with Excel Care Holdings in 2008. First, I worked as a team leader and progressed to senior, and now, I am a deputy.
Dhvani has been with Excelcare since 2025 and works closely with the management team to support the smooth and efficient running of the home’s administration. She plays an important role in helping to maintain high standards across all areas of the home.
Pelumi has been with Excelcare since September 2022 and is responsible for creating and delivering meaningful, purposeful activities and outings. These are planned through a structured programme, developed in collaboration with people living in the home and their families, to support engagement, wellbeing, and quality of life.
